foundation: wore REALLY well! looked pretty good at end of night
brows - color stayed in all day, didn’t budge
palette: no creasing - looked the same at end of the night
liquid liner: was PERFECT throughout day into the night! did not budge

I travel using Cerave Hydrating bar always and on face and body, without any problems. No stinging, redness, dryness to eyes or face skin. I switched after a nightmare leaky liquid soap incident on the road, and I've never gone back. This is a holy grail travel item for me. Plus, I love not opening and wasting a harsh little hotel soap or using their unknown body washes.

I’ve used visible lift for several years, and love it! I’m 62 yrs old and although I use high end as well , o always find myself going back to the visible lift. My go to. 😊
I use at least 4 shadows if I'm taking the time to do shadow--crease, outer corner, lid, inner corner. But I also love doing even more for colorful looks. For me, It's either nothing or multiple shades 😂

I use the visible lift foundation. I don’t remember who I saw suggest it for more mature skin but that’s why I tried it. I really, really like it. I’ve used up half a bottle so far. It doesn’t show texture and it’s buildable. I use my fingers to apply and then I go over it with a beauty blender. A serum foundation is usually what I have used, this one leans more that way but with coverage. So, any mature ladies on here might enjoy this one:)

I am your exact age lol. No, it doesn’t. That’s why I’ve been using it. I was just using serum foundations but wanted more coverage. I do think going over it with a beauty blender is necessary. I can’t believe I’ve had to seek out foundations for ‘mature’ skin…it happens I guess🤷🏻♀️
I know I almost thought it was Jess herself that recommended the lift foundation for mature skin 🤷♀️

"Exsqueeze me??" got me! I'm all over the place with eyeshadow - sometimes I skip it, frequently I'll use just two shades, but as soon as I try to add one more it becomes an elaborate affair of like seven shades plus liner
Eyeshadow is my favorite part of makeup and I go all the way. I almost never use less than 4 shades. Lighter transition, sometimes a darker crease (still midtone, but darker than the transition), a step darker for the outer corner (sometimes even one more darker step just for satisfaction), midtone shimmer in the center eyelid, brighter shimmer in the inner third of the eyelid, brightest highlight around the tear duct and under the browbone. It's the gift I give myself and I find great joy in it.
Cerave on my face/body. No issues. BEST cleanser EVER. Not drying. Takes off makeup like a dream. LOVE IT

Two drugstore and affordable products I can’t get enough of are the Ulta beauty foundation stick and the wet n wild dewy foundation.

I always wear some powder shadow if I am wearing makeup. BUT I have found that as I get older, 1 shade all over the lid, blended up, is the most flattering (and so easy!).
I love the wet n wild foundation stick in a deeper shade as a cream bronzer it lasts forever! I haven’t tried it as a foundation but I love my wet n wild photo focus dewy foundation.
Yes same.....I use it as a foundation and also use a darker shade as my bronzer/contour and the way the complexion melds so well together is crazy!!! Especially if u use a wet n wild cream blush a long with it

I took the cereve bar to Europe with me and used it on my face. It was awesome! Didn't dry out my skin but my face felt clean . It lasted forever and I used it on my body once we were hom.
I use MAC Bare Study paint pot on my eyelids, and bronzer on my outer corners...and that's it! People keep saying "Oh, you're doing that latte eye look!" Nope...been doing this for years and years! I LOVE makeup, but I don't love the makeup "look".
I’m in my minimal makeup phase. Light powder foundation eyeliner and bold lipstick. The bolder the better.

I used to almost always wear 4 eyeshadows-transition color, lid color, darker outer corner and light browbone shades. Although recently, I’ve been more minimal and loving one shadow looks since I’m working from home.
I used to use the Visible Lift foundation for years. I started using it after Prescriptives stopped being sold at department stores. (which I used for years as well) This was before I got hooked on RUclips makeup tutorials. LOL Since then I’ve tried so many. I forgot all about it! I still love L’Oréal foundations though!
I do one to two colors for eyeshadow. I have hooded eyes so if I do too much in the crease it just gets lost. I like a smoky one eyeshadow look for nighttime events.

I had to use up my FSA money before it expired and needed new glasses so I went to Warby Parker after watching so many of your vids (couldn’t use your affiliate code since I went in person) and I LOVE my frames! I got the Ava wide for regular lenses, and the Keiko in gold for sunglasses. They’re so chic and def my fave purchase thus far. Thank you for introducing them to me!!!
I also bought the Cerave cleansing bar on Taylor’s recommendation (for my face) and I love it! I was using the Cerave cream cleanser in the pump bottle before, but I think I like the bar better. It just feels more moisturising and luxurious, my skin feels softer and smoother after.
I have that wet and wild foundation stick and I really like it. It's easy to blend in for me. Also I've always been a one to two eye shadow wearer. I've never really known how to do more than that because I have hooded eyes lol but also it's easy and I think it still has a great effect.
My skin was so dry after 2 surgeries last year! Like, more so than my normal dry skin! The Cerave bar really helped my entire body get over the excessively dried out skin! It really helped me! Use it!!😂
Okay, a couple things. The Cerave bar soap is my hands down favorite soap for my face. It's lovely. Also, the Essence lipglosses are THE BEST! You have to get the clear gloss. It's my favorite lipgloss of all time. I just pair it with whatever color lipliner I'm feeling that day and it looks gorgeous, is super comfortable, and it somehow fills in my lip lines.
Edit: I forgot to add that my favorite LOWER LASH mascara is from Wet n Wild. It's the Mega Length mascara in the small purple tube and it's fantastic for the lower lashes. Casey Holmes turned me on to it a few years ago and I haven't looked back.

I was so excited to see you review the L'Oreal Visible Lift foundation. It was my HG for several years. About a year ago I saw fewer shades available, so I figured it was being discontinued. I have combination skin and live near the coast. This foundation provided a nice stain finish that adapted well to the different seasons.
Great for face and body IMO. No burn, dryness or irritation in my experience
I used to wear makeup like crazy but as ive gotten older, ive started to love and enjoy my flaws. I only wear eyeliner and lip liner/lipsticks now! I just enjoy watching you 😅 but i love all the lip recommendations from you and have purchased 99.9% of them because of you! If that counts!
Some days, no eyeshadow or one color with a smidge of shimmer. I totally LOVE the Rare Beauty cream eyeshadow sticks - pretty reasonable for higher end. 😊 The mascara, I spit out my seltzer! "If it was the last mascara would I care?!?"😅😅😅😅
I’ve been using the L’Oréal foundation for years. I love it.
Taylor made me buy it too and I travel with it. I use it on my face only. Dove sensitive for the body always. Maybe not as hydrating as the other CeraVe liquid hydrating cleanser but I still like it a lot.
Dove sensitive is the BEST! Been using it for decades!

I had looooved the previous No 7 setting powder, but the new formulation is more drying and not as good 🥲 I’ve finally given in and tried the Charlotte Tilbury, which is AH-MAZING, so that’s what I’m using now ✨

1-2 colors of shadow for sure. No time for more. Even better one and done eyeshadow stick. Would love to see a comparison of sticks! That wet & wild color story didn’t work for my Asian skin tone, but it was nice consistency.

This is so randomly specific, but that Almay stick balm reminds me of the one in Miss Congeniality (that I’ve always wanted to identify/try), when she comes into the dressing room a hot mess and all the girls help her get ready 😂😂 and for that reason, I will be on the hunt to try this and hope I love it, even though, as you said, it’s really nothing special. But that association in my mind makes it so lol

Daytime look 1-3 shadows. The max would be crease, lid, and inner corner highlight. The minimum would be no makeup at all (my workplace is a very casual no makeup type of place).
But sometimes I play with my makeup before going out in the evening and then we're talking 6-8 shadows.
I have used Loreal Visible Lift foundation for years and years (like 20 years) and I've even recommended it to others.
I used to wear so much eyeshadow. Now that I have 2 kids, I simply don’t usually have the time to do elaborate makeup. My go to for months has been a Laura geller face and eye palette. I use the French vanilla highlight on my lids and a little of the brown shadow as liner on top. It’s so easy and pretty.
I love that cerave bar. I have used it mostly for body, face occasionally. I love that it is fragrance free.
I am definitely going to try that cerave bar! I love their products and it is a good way to cut down on single-use plastics. I didn't even know it existed.
I absolutely love that eye shadow palette. The shimmers come to life with setting spray and a finger.

Most makeup days are no eyeshadow for me, just foundation, concealer, mascara and blush, but when I want a good shadow look, it's usually 3-4 shades 😊 unless I'm wanting a matte look then that's 1-3 😅

Hi Jessica! I typically do 3 eyeshadow colors- crease, lid, highlight inner corner or a shimmer on top. Sometimes if I do a smokey eye or want to smudge out a liner it may go up to 4 or 5. But most days I do 3.
I use the bar. I like it better than the cleanser. I feel like the bar cleans a little better. It is less moisturizing. I use it on my face mostly but I have used it on my body with no issues.
P.s. I either use 1 shadow (stick) for no-makeup makeup days or 3-4 on makeup days.
I use 1-3 eyeshadows. A matte to give my crease some depth (either eyeshadow or bronzer), and a dark brown to smudge my upper lash line. When I’m feeling fancy, I’ll add a little sparkle or glitter. Favorites are the Kaja bento in chocolate dahlia and the Catrice Nude palette.
Such a great video! You are on a roll!!! I must be an exception, as I use 4-6 shadows everyday. Im a 5th grade teacher and my students have even commented on how nice my eyes look. No matter how I try to scale back, I end up using two to four eyeshadow shades. I love a no shit eyeshadow look, sculpted and dramatic. I want to look like I'm wearing eye makeup-and like I good at it!
I feel like with my eye shape, one shadow just never works! I don’t get the kind of dimension I need! Even for a basic every day I look I always use 3-4 shadows 😂

My sweet spot for eyeshadow is 3-4 colours (all over, crease, topper, inner corner) but on the days I use my single shadows it's a nice change of pace!

I love videos like this! I just picked up a CoverGirl foundation the other day that I haven't heard anyone talking any! And it's so good! I giggled when the vacuum started and you were like "not right now!" 😂. Also, I always, always check to make sure products haven't been touched, especially after COVID. And if I get it home and it looks like it might have been touched, I always sanitize it.
I just use my bronzer and highlighter for eyeshadow. Works perfectly for a blended look

The drunk elephant bars are amazing an travel so well. There is a travel set and they really aren’t outrageous. Takes off my makeup and not drying AT ALL.

Good morning 😃 if I’m using powder shadow I always use 3-5 colors: for crease, outer V for depth, lid shade is shimmer/sparkle and sometimes lighter shimmer for inner lid and under eye neutral for contour effect or different color as an accent… my makeup time is my “me” time. I find it relaxing and I listen to RUclips vids 😊

I use anywhere from 1 to 3 shadows and on rare occasion maybe a 4th. Most days it’s 2, one for my crease to help my hooded lids look better then a shimmer and always mascara. Love the idea about the soap bar and someone mentioned they use it for face and body. I’ll pick that up for travel. Great video btw! I would love to have seen an update of wear time on these products. But I love your videos regardless.
For work I use a shimmer eyeshadow stick and top it with a sparkly topper neutral shade. But on the weekends I wear super colorful eyeshadow and definitely use more than two eyeshadows 😅
