Another tip about a load a day is…. Use the delay start on your washer. Put the load in the night before and have it start an hour before you get up. Then all you are doing in the morning is transferring the load from the washer to the dryer. Then fluff and fold after work if you don’t have time in the morning.😊❤

Fellow momma of 2 here… (4 and 7 months old)… I have been the worst at laundry. The vicious cycle was my curse and did laundry on the weekends as well… which led to finishing said laundry in the week and was doing laundry all the time anyways!! I JUST SWITCHED to the laundry everyday system and it is LIFE CHANGING JESS.
One basket. One basket. One basket. In your room. Everyone’s laundry goes in at night from the day, **each night before bed you start that little load. **
Next morning you put load in the dryer and fold and put away whenever you can that day. Repeat!!!
I am clearly passionate because I KNOW THE STRUGGLE lol! I felt so heard listening to your laundry debacle. ( also been watching y’all for years… Disneyville citizen here) xo

My new laundry system that has made life so much easier: I do my baby’s laundry every day (it’s necessary, easy, and I actually enjoy folding her laundry for whatever reason)…so I recently started throwing in my “must be washed”/favorites with her laundry - it makes it so much less of an overwhelming chore! My husband does the rest of our clothes every few days. We’re kind of on our own vibe but it mixes well!

Goodr sunglasses are the best for running! Or even just mom life. They’re meant for active people because the way the nose pads and the sunglasses work themselves they’re like… kinda grippy. My husband runs marathons and loves them for that. I don’t run. I just love them for doing life because they truly don’t fall off my face. They’re so good. I promise.

I've always done laundry every day because it's one chore where you don't have to actually be present. Throw a load in and leave it till it's ready for the dryer, pop your next load in the washer, and so on. The advantage for me is getting other chores done in the meantime and folding the warm clothes right out of the dryer, no wrinkles. I can only imagine all fhe clothes you have with 2 kiddies!

We are a family of 4, we have 2 boys that are 13 and almost 9. We do laundry 4 days a week and once we got used to it, it’s perfect. Monday the boys do their laundry. Tuesday is all bedding and towels. Wednesday is workout and whites and Thursday is all cold. Every night we fold and put away that laundry. I do no laundry on Friday, Saturday or Sunday and it’s amazing. I don’t worry about if the load is full or not. It can be a half load, doesn’t matter. I just made sure that everyone has enough underwear, socks, etc to get through the whole week. Life changing!!!!!!!!!!!

My husband is a train operator and he brings home chemicals and steel dust in his clothes so he has his own hamper where he disrobes in a side entrance so as not to track that stuff into the house. We do laundry on Fridays when he finishes his week and we fold as a family. I tried doing laundry every day when the kids were babies and I had nitemares about being buried in laundry. This system works way better for us.

I've been doing "daily" laundry for a few years now and I love it. I say "daily" because most weeks I end up doing laundry 4-5 days per week. The way that works best for me is doing towels and sheets on specific days (Tues and Fri) so those things don't have a chance to pile up. But I also really like that method because I don't have to think about it. Then on other days I wash 1 load of clothes each day (if needed) and usually I don't have to do any laundry over the weekend, which I love!

  • @RedWhiteandBlueHome
    @RedWhiteandBlueHome Год назад +3

As a mom of teenages I have been doing laundry this way for years now. It works great because then on the weekends you don't have laundry to do and you can spend more time with your family. Also my kids are older so they do all of the putting their laundry away and I'm going to be teaching them how to start doing laundry so then it'll have a little less laundry on my plate.

I do laundry every Monday for sure, and then whenever during the week if I need. Usually ends up being Friday or Sat. But my mom has adopted the laundry every day! She’s like “stop thinking of it as a task that can ever be finished, it’s just like loading the dishwasher, you just do it everyday.” My mom has 11 kids, 7 still at home so the laundry is REALLY never ending 😅

This is my sage laundry advice from a mom of four: do one to two loads a day. I like to set up the washing machine the night before. So if I'm doing toddler laundry I'll throw that in, put the soap in the dispenser and close it up. The next morning when I am sleepy-eyed I just turn the machine on and head downstairs .Then when I go upstairs to get dressed I can transfer it all to the dryer. Then that afternoon, or most of the time in the evening, I fold the load. I adjust this according to the need of doing more than one load. It works great and it feels way more hands off. Kind of doing the dishes.

I prefer having all laundry and dishes done and completely put away by Friday so then I don’t have to do them on the weekend. (It’s just my husband and I so I don’t know if this is realistic for a family of four but I do have far more dishes as I am a food content creator on TT) I can relax on the weekend as well as have more time for my weekend projects. Plus if the dish washer is empty we can put all of our weekend dishes directly in there which makes Monday (when I start my daily chores back up) easier.

Everytime I hear the cicadas when you’re out there, I feel heartsick for Indiana. Someday….. 💭💙

My mom always separated laundry into colors. Reds, pinks purples; whites and light colors; jeans and dark colors; and towels and bedding. She would do a different load every day.

I am having that kind of week as well. I have 2 busy children to drive around and I also take care of my ailing father. I feel like most days are taking care of everyone else's s*** while trying to squeeze in things I need to do for myself whenever there is a free minute : (

I do laundry monday, Wednesday and Friday... Occasionally, if I want to get a jump on Monday, I do it Sunday instead. Also... I only separate towels from clothes. Not by colors. Once in a while I'll bleach all the white towels and shirts if they're looking a bit dingy. Folding is more fun when you have something to watch. 👌

I do laundry every single day! Lol it’s the ONLY way I can keep up and not loose my mind. Plus it makes me feel like I accomplished something. Even if I don’t fold it right away.
