    Thanks for such a precious review, I got to know that even a high quality product is also not perfect distortion!

    Thanks for the review, now I know how to adjust properly, since reading directions is not my thing. I picked up a pair this week. I wont say how much I saved on the sale, but they were the best that I could afford & suggested choice of the salesperson. I got to the lease and man was everyone blown away with the clarity/price point.

      I'm glad you enjoying them and it sounds like you got a great price! I really do think these hit a sweet spot for the price and performance.

      Nice choice! Those are the top of the line Vortex. And you are right about the warranty, you don’t have to be worried about Vortex taking care of you.

    Hi Adventure Colorado. I want to by binocular for traveling and supervision , but I can not choose a model. Price 150-200$. Now i watch 2 brands, Nikon and Vortex. Can you help me with choosing a model. Which better, Vortex Diamondback 10*42 or Nikon Prosstaf 7S 10*42?
    And one more question about sizes and magnification. Which one better? 8×42, 8×50, 10×42, 10×50.

    Recently acquired the 10X42 Diamondback HD. Field perspective so far - clarity of optics great, smoothness of focus great, brightness is super, field of view - very good and bring to the eye comfort is amazing - very satisfied. Would purchase again.

    I don’t think you ever ended up mentioning why you went with the 10x50 over the 10x42 diamond backs. Could you share?

    • @AdventureColorado
      @AdventureColorado  5 лет назад +5

      The larger objective of the 10x50 gathers more light and gives you a slightly brighter picture. It isn’t really noticeable during the middle of the day, but it makes it easier to glass in the first few hours and last hours of light.

    Good review! I just got a pair of these. I agree with your observations completely. I’m not wild about the huge case. Here in Mexico it’s been impossible to get the glass pack case. What is your opinion of it after using it?

    • @AdventureColorado
      @AdventureColorado  4 года назад

      The binoculars are a great value for the money. I keep these handy when hiking, traveling, etc.

      The glass pack is a good interim case until you get... a better one. it's not that it's a bad case but the biggest issue is the straps not being comfortable for all-day hunts etc. Go research the Alaskan Guide creations. Vortex does sell a great guide case that is very similar. I decided on the Alaskan Guide because of the straps and the storage options available. All that said... I own two sets of the Vortex glasses and love them both. They are fantastic in the field while hunting. Can't beat the price/quality.

    Thank For video I bought about 2-month vortex 10*42 new Diamondback for 290$ but I don't know why Swarovski binoculars with same options are so expensive? do I need to buy them instead of vortex? is it huge differences between them?

    • @AdventureColorado
      @AdventureColorado  7 лет назад +3

      If you have a chance, I would suggest going to a sporting good store that has both options for you to look through. The Swarovski binoculars will have sharper glass than the Diamondbacks and excellent light transmission. Whether or not it is worth it depends on how much you notice those differences and what your budget is. I looked through about a dozen different binoculars between $200-$500 and felt like the Diamondbacks were very similar to those $500 options. Now, I've looked through Swarovksi binoculars and used Leica range finding binoculars at long range matches and those are definitely more clear than the Diamondbacks, but I didn't have $2,000+ to spend on them at the time.

      Viktor Tiger once you look through a pair of Swarovski.... you will know why they are so expensive!!!!

      It's like anything else ,you have the practical $300 binoculars or scope and the $2000 scope and binoculars. They both perform comparatively same task , it's what you're willing to spend . To me I'd put the money into the Scope not the Binoculars but that being said, it's what you can afford. I've seen guys shoot $300 rifles and $5000 rifles . At 200 yards same group

    what pair you think is better for archery? 10x50 or8x42??

    • @AdventureColorado
      @AdventureColorado  4 года назад +1

      For archery distances an 8x42 would most likely be just fine. The extra reach of a 10x might be nice if you are in open terrain and hunting via spot and stalk.
