    well done Rob. one more good video .Good picapproach,of the problem. Even that you missed the crack (I definitely missed it to,I saw the comments and play back and pause the video to see it),you just saw the problem on the scope,was enough, all done,coil in the bin,jump to the next job 😂

    As always enjoy seeing the efficiency of the scope tests. Seems that it’s always up and ready to roll in your shop, even if your using it on easy diags. You’re really staying sharp by honing your skills. I think a lot of techs put theirs up in storage after using theirs and it feels like too much trouble to get it out.

      @romanosautomotive  2 года назад

      Thanks Kevin, it's always out ready to rock n roll and you absolutely highlighted the problem there. People pack them up and it's too hard to set up and unravel all of the leads all of the time.

    Yep, I also clearly saw what @Don Gamble saw at 6:23. It looked like the plastic tube of that coil was cracked, and there were some nice/suspicious black lightning burns visible too. Definitely looked like it had been arcing externally to the spark plug well tube.👍🇦🇺

      Geez now I'm going to have to get a pair of glasses I think. Can I blame looking at it through the phone camera? 🤣

    • @simonilett998
      @simonilett998 2 года назад

      @@romanosautomotive No probs, I reckon you can blame it on looking through the camera for sure🤣 All good though, glasses might be the answer too. I had to start wearing them a year or so ago for reading diagrams, my phone etc, and now anytime I'm working on cars or to see anything within arms length clearly I can't do without them...getting old...lol

    Nice one mate 👍 another fix 😉
    Have you still got the gtc505? I couldn't see myself taking out the paddle probe too often if I had one of them 😍

    • @romanosautomotive
      @romanosautomotive  2 года назад

      I do Gerard but I had the whole Pico kit on the cart next to me. I had to fiddle with that thing a bit to get it to read well on these coils haha

    • @GerardBurkeBurkesGarage
      @GerardBurkeBurkesGarage 2 года назад

      @@romanosautomotive that's the good thing about a diagnostic cart 👌💪 ready to rock at all times.
      I have the Autel ultra with the oscilloscope accessories kit, using the paddle probe on that is nice but it get packed away each time so only when absolutely needed. The GTC has been on my list so long it may get superceded by the time I can get it 😂😂
      I have that bt800 as well, so far so good, x4 BMWs worked well and I was on a diag job with a Trax today and did all I needed. Could be a winner but more time and testing will tell 🎓⌚

    Hi Romano i have a 2006 swift and have a squeeling belt and change it with new one but noise is remaining only at startup, can you suggest something thanks

    • @romanosautomotive
      @romanosautomotive  2 года назад +1

      Is it definitely the right length belt? Have you tightened it a bit more to see if it goes away to prove it's the belt, or spray silicone spray on it to prove its the belt making noise and not something else?

    • @geoepi321975
      @geoepi321975 2 года назад

      @@romanosautomotive yes it's the right belt length, but is squeeling only few minutes at startup and if you turn the steering wheel right or left, i will do your suggestion thanks.

    Yo bro. Hows the topdon working so far? Was looking at it but is it bidirectional? Did you try the power balance as yet with it? How come you didn't use the Ecop, would have freed up your hands a bit?

    • @romanosautomotive
