What if the car have subtle shake during idle? It's significant unnoticeable but you can feel the car shake sometimes. Anything i should check? Btw, i got new original BMW engine mounting, new plug, new coil. Accelerates great, but only just subtle shake during idle.

My N20 engine was recently build, but i felt the shake before and after the engine rebuild, thought the subtle shake going away after rebuild. Btw, my car (2014 F30 320i N20) is tuned to stage 2 with around 270HP and 420NM. My short term fuel trim reads around -0.7% and long term fuel trim -4.7% at idle. Air/fuel ratio 14.6 consistently. Perhaps there was a small vacuum leaks, need to check that.
Based on the fuel trim, the computer is subtracting fuel. A vacuum leak will cause lean code and the computer will add more fuel therefore fuel trim will be positive. Vacuum leak isn't the issue.
I have 2018 Tahoe Premier, when I break or when the car is in park it idles below 1000rpm. So you are saying to don’t have to remove the part, just take off hose to air filter and clean throttle body?
I had an oil change done on my vehicle and after I left the oil change, engine light was coming on that’s when I stopped to ask someone why. Upon looking under the hood, they said that someone didn’t lock down the engine filter compartment. My RPMs were very high. I have a 2021 Chevy equinox only 65,000 miles. I’m confused. I’m not sure what to do next. and once someone tightened it down the rpm started getting high

Great video but what if car predates computers injectors and sensors mines 1984 Mitsubishi sigma 4 cylinder natural aspirated non injected carburettor operated engine when idling it revs up / down on its own will check vac leaks but no obd to check codes no sensors what do I do ? @top 5 auto repairs
So I have a 93 civic b20b engine in and it idles up and down but not all the time sometimes the idles good sometimes it wants to die but only when in neutral. I’m going to clean it and hopefully it works but still find it weird that it idles great at time and other time not
My problem is that my idle drops in drive with my foot on the brake. I just put on a new iac valve and no luck .it idles fine in park and it drops my alternator to 13 volts so it's a problem.

I gotta waved rpm speed cunundrum, that’s not only in the other 5% you didn’t cover, but also not in another 99% of that 5%. when the car warms up(which seems to be unusually quick btw.) there is a waving of rpms, which instead of idle being at .6k, it wavers between .4k & 1k(ish), at a steady rythmic timing of about 1c pr second.. hears where this snafU obviates(is that a word ?🤔) anyway, eludes the average mystery - when accelerater is pushed to 2k, 2.5, 3k watever - the waving is still happening, you can see it on tacometer - BUT AT EXACT SAME TIME INTERVALS😬!! any guess on that 1? - yIEeey didNt think sO. was guesscing there’s a short between maf or iacv & clock, except this only happens when car warms up. - wat the hek?

I have a 2004 3.9 mustang with an intermittent vibration more noticeable in park, at 1700 rpm. It vibrates for a few seconds then slow dissipates. This continues as long for as long as you keep it at any rpm over 1300. Any suggestions?
Mine only shows these symptoms after a while with the a/c running. It starts to turn the compressor on and off and the idling follows. Getting the condenser changed soon; the issue is still there with a new compressor and a recharge.

If it idles so low that it wants to die and has o2 codes with steady vacuum your EGR is stuck open. Just needs to be cleaned.

If it shakes a bit, issue could be a small vacuum leak, dirty idle air control/throttle body or a mild misfire. Any trouble codes/check engine light?

Go ahead and look for leakage next to alternator or ignition coils. Make sure there is a fire extinguisher around

Yes it's normal. Idle it for awhile and idle should return to normal and smell should be gone.

My manual 18 challenger when revving pass 3k comes down super slow as soon as it hits 3k on the way down. Can’t figure it out
Use propane hand paint burner: that is much much safer because it will eject a gass and not a liquid that vaporizes and can cause a fire.
I have rev up and down and stalls on idle on camry 2008 and could not find idle control valve however I cleaned throttle body but no improvement.
