Thank you so so much, to you and ALL who upload these old races. I don't normally comment on anything, but I want you and all others who post these old full races that, for what it's worth to you, I greatly, greatly appreciate your effort!!!
The sound, the packed stands, the nostalgic nbc broadcasts, absolutely love these old school races :) and damn cars spinning all over the place in the last few laps and no yellow, nowadays a water bottle on the apron causes a yellow. the change in mindset in the control tower over the years is incomprehensible
Don't know about all that. But hey we haven't had a single person die in 19 years. I love the safety. I love stage racing. I hate old timers complaining and wanting the sport to go backwards.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. in 2004 and Kevin Harvick in 2007 are the only ones since 1989 to win the 300-miler and the Daytona 500 sweep. Junior did it over the course of 3 days: (The Busch race went 31/120 laps due to rain on Saturday and was leading when they stopped the event until Monday morning, won the 500 on Sunday, and ended up winning the 300 on Monday morning when they completed the remaining 89 circuits). Many drivers nowadays don't even bother running both races anymore. Tony Stewart was 1/2 lap away from doing it in 2008 but lost the lead to Newman in the 500, and Trevor Bayne couldn't get the lead in the 300 in time in 2011. His Dad almost did it in 1990, 1991, and 1993, and Geoffrey Bodine won the 300 in '85 and '87 but won the 500 in '86 and failed to win the 300 that year. In 1987, he ran out of gas with 2 laps to go while leading.
They dont allow the drivers to compete in both series because you had people like martin and busch dominate the series threw most of the 90's- teens. Now they limit the amount to give a true platform to people to come into the sport. I like the move as it helps people win championships like 3 different drivers in the past 3 years.

Junior on his Dale JR download with guest Richard Childress said this was the easiest time in a race car he ever had lol. Old Dale Sr crew gave him a hotrod that might not have been legal lol but who cares. back when nascar meant something. back before the weekend part time fan who lived racing not just said i like that car i'll root for him and doesn't have a clue who he is or what racing is about
Great crowds, great racing...its just a shame that most of these early 2000 Busch Daytona races were ruined by Jr constantly winning (and dominating) pointlessly in these, therefore overshadowing the secondary series' drivers.
And Dale Sr. was watching from up above with that Smile.

The golden days of nascar, and the Busch grand national series
Also TBR on the front row with David green
I wish they had the RAW version of the races from early NBC and TNT races because I’m sure these guys in the booth have funny conversations off camera
This race is very underrated. It was pretty much a year after Dale Earnhardt Sr. died and his son won in his father's number.
That time machine is going again!

Amazing how they didn't throw a yellow in the final laps. Todays race would have had a yellow, double file restart, overtime, and all sorts of crap.
So many good racers in this
