    Should've won in 2017 too had it not been for damaged rear wing.. Castroneves is a legend..👍

      Never watched the 2017 Race only been watching since 2019! Simon Pagenaud who ran a good race today P3!
      But no obviously I’ve certainly learnt so much about IndyCar year on year beginning to get to know it and it’s awesome ran sport like F1!

      A.J. had a broken front sway bar that cost him the lead against J.R. in '76. During the rain delay his pit crew fixed it (everyone could work on their cars at any time, during the third golden age), and everyone anticipated him to retake the lead in the second half of the Race ... which never came.
      It was fair racing, though. Races that could have been are also part of Indy lore.

    I was never alive for Senna but I was alive for Barrichello and Castroneves. Both made me fall in love with Brazilian drivers

    Eu assisti esta corrida na televisão 😍. Apesar de eu não entender nada da Indy500, eu fiquei muito ansioso com a Vitória do Castroneves já que ele era um dos brasileiros naquela corrida. ❤

    I was there and everyone I could see was going ballistic. First Indy 500 for me as well and what a first it was.

      I think that was the loudest I have ever heard the crowd, and it was a somewhat smaller crowd due to pandemic restrictions. And Helio won without doing the obnoxious "dragon" weave on the last few laps.

      Fun Fact:Rick Mears is still the youngest 4 time winner out of the other 3 he was 39 when he won his 4th

      No estados unidos eles dão um banho mesmo, piloto americano é ruim no geral, quase não tem nenhum com destaque fora, tanto que os circuitos são ovais, é um jeito de deixar emocionante com carros piores como são os nascar em comparação com os Dtm e os Indy em relação aos f1

      @@GameRRKing Vc deve saber que AJ Foyt É americano, que Mário Andretti é americano, que Daniel Gurney e Phil Hill são americanos.
      Pior : vem falar da categoria por causa de ovais sendo o calendário da Indy o mais exigente do mundo para qqer piloto.
      Quantas vezes o Senna ou Piquet venceram:
      As 24 horas de Le Mans dirigindo 18 horas o carro como fez Foyt em 1967?
      Os grandes pilotos americanos foram multi-disciplinares, Mário por exemplo venceu a F1, 500 milhas de Daytona e quase levou Le Mans.
      Piloto bom anda em todo tipo de categoria, vence em qqer categoria.
      Não fala merda do automobilismo americano mentindo ou fazendo ilações.

      We teach our kids how to drive in GoKarts , and Manual transmission cars. The lack of parts and devaluated currency and import duty tax force us to develop cars with what we have instead of buying expensive parts, thus building skills

      That’s because this is! Cars can on qualifying day average speed is around 240mph! And in race they’re not far off that especially towards the end once they’ve burned off the fuel.

      However, I've heard that the Indy 500 pays well, not to mention the celebrity perks that go along with winning...

    Who cares?? This sport is so stupid 😂 just do 20 laps because all you see is restarts anyway so why bother watching 4 hours when only the last 10 min is interesting

      4 hours? Usually about 3 hours give or take (30 minutes) and to be precise the last race took 2 hours, 37 minutes and 19.384 seconds.
