One of the best things about dude is that he never takes credit for his own accomplishments; he always respect his audience and his team, and he is polite in all of his videos. We congratulate ourselves on our accomplishments..................,

It's kind of sad to watch these "most advanced rally cars ever". They are so unwieldy, unprecise, tossing all over the place. I don't know who is the idiot in the FIA who's responsible for promoting the ridiculous policy that 4wd cars don't need a centre diff! Even the cheap 4wd solutions applied in road cars have a centre diff, but here we have special-built performance cars which have to do without it? Where's the sense in that?

Gives the drivers a bit more room to stand out

To lower the costs so that M-Sport can be at a more similair level to Toyota and Hyundai. It also ads some understeer so that they have to slide more = more spectacular and more difficoult for the drivers. I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing and the onboard cam can make it seem more unstable also.

@@jonfriktion07 Yes, I know that cost reduction was the main reason. I concord with it, inasmuch as it was a necessary measure to keep M-Sport in the competition. However, I don't think that cutting the centre diff makes so much difference in car-building costs, while it affects the handling quite drastically, and makes the car something of a parody, seeing that you will not normally see centre-diff-less 4wd cars.
As for the handling qualities and what challenge they present to the driver as well as to how spectacular the effect of the driver manhandling the beast is, I have a very different opinion :). A car which is unpredictable and handling badly is just that. If you can't trust it to react well and quickly to the inputs, you either have to underdrive it (... leaving a substantial margin of safety and letting it roll through the corners where possible, especially on tarmac... ), or set the drift up much earlier and in a more pronounced way that it would have been necessary if the car had the centre diff. All corner exits are also spoiled with the car being reluctant to straighten up and prone to fish-tailing. I find those cars primitive, thrashy and completely unexciting.

@@TacoInvader69 Not really. If you give a Stradivarius and a cheap violin alternatly to a virtuoso and to a student violinist, obviously, the virtuoso will play better than the student, no matter what the instrument. It is only on the Strad that his or her talent will really shine, though.
