It’s going to be sad watching every other driver in the WRC in the next few years try to beat this man! Honestly, he’s miles ahead of everyone else, as shown by the fact that he was barely challenged throughout the championship, aged 21!
Thank you for the editing on this! Please more of this. No music, no constant camera angle switching every 2 seconds. Just showing two professionals at what they do best.
beautifully driven, he used the camber amazingly and never let it overwhelm him. the elevation changes and inclines on some of the corners are downright horrifying. so many other things to praise, but it just stuck out to me because there's few rallys like this. new zealend is an incredible location
In NZ speedway cars (midgets) i have had a couple of strange things happen. Then i realized that I WAS'NT blinkinking and my eyes were drying out and my eye lids were STUCK to my eyeballs.
This stage is a damn rollercoaster. I cannot really grasp how anyone would be able to keep a car on the road at these speeds. And Kalle seems to be so calm and composed. Truly beautiful to watch!
Kalle looks like he's sitting at home in the living room driving Colin McRae in the rally simulator and Jonne is sitting on the couch next to him reading rally notes, cool as always. 👍😁😉
First time this man blinks is at 1:28 and he blinks for a total of 9 times throughout his run. Average blink rate is 12-15 blinks in a minute crazy how focused he is.
0:19 Amazing car control! What a close call!!! Apart from that moment, flawless driving. I'm so happy for both Kalle and Jonne, for his father Harry (who I had the honour to meet here in Gran Canaria at the ROC many years ago) and for the whole Finland!!! Hyvä Suomi!!!!
what an awesome show of skill. what an awesome advertisement for Rally NZ. I dont think he blinked once. even when he almost put it in the ditch ( 0:21). well deserved championship. need more pressure on the FIA to keep nz on the calender.
I think the smile was because he barely captured the slide. It was a close call because of heavy understeering which required him to rapidly twist wheels nearly straight and back to acquire traction before going off the road.
Dang KR's driving is smooth af and it's crazy how Young he still is cos he's normally so calm n nerves of steel and most Rally Drivers in he's age does alot fails for many seasons in a row but KR drivers like a Boss! 👍🇫🇮 Imo he's Ice Man 2.0! Hyvää duunia Kalle ja ens kaudella sama uudestaan! 👍💪🤜🇫🇮🤛🏆
Awesome video, but don't you never ever peep out the "perkele" again. That is the most empowering Finnish word, which have helped us to survive here up in the north through cold winters and Soviet attacks. Most people (even Finns) doesn't even know what it means. It's basically the same than Thor is in Norwegian mythology. So leave the Perkele alone! I have been following Kalle since the first video he posted about 10 years ago, and last five-six years I have waited this moment. It was obvious that if they give him the capable car, he is going to be the youngest world champion, and now he is. Thank you Kalle and Toyota, and everyone who made this possible.
such confidence in the car, some of the corners i'm thinking there is no way he making this off camber off weight corner, but the car just grips up and rotates amazingly, what a machine and what a drive!
ga bosen lihat video ini berulang ulang, keren 🔥. racing line, apex to apex, braking point, semuanya presisi. juara dunia wrc termuda sepanjang sejarah, Kalle Rovanperä 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
100% for sure I'm not a bit like this kid. _BUT_ I'm proud owning a GR Yaris and being some kind of part of what Toyota's rally engagement is. - THNX to Akio Toyoda for making this possible. 100000000000000% congrats to Kalle for the win...
@@satriannasri7157 Perkele is roughly translated as "devil" (but it's actually an old pagan god) but usually means something like "God Damn!" and Vittu is basically same as "cunt" in English. Of the two, the latter is actually pretty vulgar and Perkele is nice enough to have products on sale with it as part of the name. It's considered a bit rough but not exactly a bad word.
I would have shat my pants sitting in that car. For somebody who is new to rally it looks like he is constantly about to crash. Just absolutely incredible control of the vehicle. Also, Finnish sounds so freaking weird xD.
All of us were thinking how good was the amount of grip and torque F1 car has, but in rally car, it's was uncountable. With that kind of speed during the high speed corner they were still be able to pull the car straight of the curve and racing line even in the wet and snow conditions.
This was the first time we saw his facial expressions while driving. He gave it all and he got what he deserved for his performance this year.
He didn't even blink until the first jump.
The best facial expression was back in the day Marcus Gronholm licking his lips, he looked like he just smoked a fat bag of crack.
He almost send it flat out to the trees in jyväskylä at one spot. He started laughing
SUCH LEGEND ❤❤❤
People, what a legend he already is. Crazy that we are watching Kalle for years and he's still so young. A legend in the making here.

Yeah this stage is insane, never seen anything like it regarding elevation and camber
Yes Rally nz is great i hadn't seen it live for 10 years, God it was worth the wait, hope they come back !!!!
He has an extra talent of being able to go long periods of time without blinking
That's total focus. Only blinks in a few corner exits and short straight.

I've noticed the same.

Only thing missing is a long drink (or spesifically lonkero in Finland) they'd be sipping in that scenario 😂
This man did A Twitch stream, hasn't streamed lately
Proud to be Finnish, great job Kalle and Jonne! : )
Hyvä jätkä!
4:55 The landing from the last jump was so heavy that Jonne's visor dropped down!
I keep seeing you in the comments of many videos I watch. We have a similar taste haha.
Young man was certainly on a constant, consistent mission. No let up, constant fire till the FF. True World Champion material. Deservedly so!
What a destination for rally 🤩 Just look at these roads. So awesome watching his calm slaying of this course
What a cracking stage and well deserved championship for Kalle. His Dad was a great driver in his own right but Kalle really is on another level.
What a driver. Such a technical track and he nails evert hairpin without breaking a sweat. This guy has a very bright future
So focused in the car, and committed at every corner - apex after apex. Well deserved title.
This stage looked equal parts technically demanding and fun. Congats!
Jonne did awesome job!! What a co driver!! 🎉 This is why they won... Team work ♥️ Congratulations boys!!!!
Love his scandi-flick style driving and how brilliant is he at combining all the consecutive corners into a smooth seamless action.
What a beautiful stage😮
That was incredible to watch. Flawless. A truly deserved World Champion.
This was sickest and most mental thing i ever witnessed... Absolutely stellar driving!!!

The young fella was so focused it took him a moment to realise he created history. Champ Status.
This might be the best rally stage I've ever seen in my life

I want this track in a truck Sim 😆
The elevation changes look Fucking insane I want it in Richard burns rally 💪🏽
This was in WRC... 😉
I wish all the OTHER WRC COMPETITORS a very GOOD LUCK FOR THE NEXT TEN YEARS.

Kalle Rovanperä = KR = King of the Road
I think the smile was because he barely captured the slide. It was a close call because of heavy understeering which required him to rapidly twist wheels nearly straight and back to acquire traction before going off the road.
I think they are a little excited!! ...great drive and even greater video.
Tanaks defense of this stage was marvelous, but nothing could beat our Flying Finn🥵🔥🔥🔥
