@LegenVD, do you feel Syncopate and/or Devious Cover-Up are needed in the sideboard against Nexus of Fate, Gaea's Blessing, or other such cards? And some Sentinel Totems to exile all graveyard cards to defeat Arclight Phoenix decks.
@Zer01 TV the deck is unlikely to make use of the Nexus of Fate recursion since it will have many more cards in the library than the opponent in a winning game. Since Nexus is a high CMC spell I don't think you can justify its inclusion just for one extra turn of milling with a small chance of recursion. If you did pull it multiple times then it would be a wincon, but in this deck I think there's a marginal chance at best of that happening. I'd much rather have a counterspell.
wow, the fact that you put in the extra work to make the text look like periodic table element symbols for the chemister's insight joke is really impressive, those little things make all the difference, I got more out of knowing that you cared enough to do that the actual joke (which was great of course)
Me either! Explains why I get matched up with some crazy decks when I play with the deck I put together myself vs the starter decks I use when getting some quests done
only on ladder, in the events you play against someone with the same amount of wins and losses. I do not know if card rarity is a secondary opponent filtering mechanism inn events, it would make sense.
Did a GRN draft the other day and without realising it created a nice little Mill deck with Drowned Secrets. Proper fun to play, never made any opponent mill themselves before.
I played against a mono-U mill deck the other day. The funny thing is as soon as the game started I knew what was going on and I felt like I could win it quickly enough that it wouldn't matter. Several turns later and the last card of my deck went into the graveyard. It's easy to underestimate this deck, but in the game I played it milled all of the most important cards I had that weren't already in my hand. It was terrible.
And this PITA archtype is why I run at least two Gaea's Blessings in most of my decks. Love watching the smug mill deck's rage quit when they mill one and watch all their hard work go up in smoke.
Thank you for this deck. Your channel is one of the best! :) I like the looks of this deck a lot. Was just wondering whether it's any good on ladder atm?
Wondering if you could help. I use this deck alot, it is my fav, i didnt have all the cards, but hd most of them. i recently entered a tournament for arena setup on the discord channel and was wondering if you could possibly give me an idea for a 15 card sideboard to go with this deck?
I'm almost there! I'm missing 6 rares for now: 1x Settle the Wreckage 2x Cleansing Nova 3x Glacial Fortress which one should I prioritize? and what cards can I use to temporarily replace?
Randomly met a netdeck boy who played this exact copy paste deck vs my simic deck. He RQ after he realised i ran double clear the mind ( sorcery " target player shuffles there graveyard in to the library" draw a card. and double Gaea's blessing " when this card is milled shuffle your graveyard in to the library. he did not have a good time :)
Nice build! Ive been playing mill for a while and found 4 copies of Psychic corrosion are too many, playing 1 already wins the game pretty fast and having more than one in the hand early loses the game to all aggro pretty much for me. Will definitely try your version!
There are two counterspells you can sideboard in. Syncopate and Devious Cover-Up exile the countered spell. I faced a UW Teferi deck with three copies of Nexus of Fate at FNM last week and won by exiling two of them and stealing the third with Thief of Sanity.
"We try to avoid playing Teferi" LVD, the hero we need
No Teferi or counterspells required!
Great deck. I'll spend some wild cards on some cleansing novas and try it out
even better!

@@mccluskeyp Yeah that would be a good idea.

Mill is one of my favorite archetypes! Absolutely loved your UR tutelage mill way back from duels.
i built a standard deck built around tutelage because of your sultai video
BTW, I just wanna thank you so damn much for the time stamps you include in every video.
My most loved thing is the fact the videos are no bullshit, no waiting, etc. Organized as hell and concise. More channels need to do this.
Thank you for making this deck, Mill is my favorite archetype. I cannot express how happy I am with this video. Way to go @LegenVD!
I always enjoy your MVC bits at the end of each video! One of the things that sets you apart from other mtg youtubers ;)

Oh wow, I didn't know that your opponents are selected based on the rarity of the cards in your deck. That's pretty cool.
Yeah it only affects bo1 ladder and is based on how often a card gets crafted. Since Teferi gets crafted a lot, it increases your deck score.
Pretty cool, but not true. Having 30 rares in your deck doesn't mean you'll be facing Tier 1 decks all day.
That doesn't seem to be true.
Did a GRN draft the other day and without realising it created a nice little Mill deck with Drowned Secrets. Proper fun to play, never made any opponent mill themselves before.
when watching these videos fullscreen it's really hard to remember you cannot mouse over graveyards and see what's inside
The way you say "Right on time" is nice. Just like Teferi :^)
Teh Fairy
LegenVD is actually Teferi
nice vid. id love to see your take on mono black aggro xd
Settle the Wreckage is extra awesome in this deck because you’re thinning out their library by making them put lands into play!
@@traycarrot Not a lot of people know that, they just go and grab those sweet lands
Nothing beats milling and discarding your ennemy's cards type of decks.

What is your favorite deck to play? In terms of funness. @LegenVD
That's like asking someone to pick their favorite child, too hard to choose :)
And this PITA archtype is why I run at least two Gaea's Blessings in most of my decks. Love watching the smug mill deck's rage quit when they mill one and watch all their hard work go up in smoke.
Would be very nice to see a some kind of discard deck in this game :)
I run a similar deck but with 4 copies of drowned secrets to combo with psychic corrosion. Deck is fun to play but don't expect to win often :D
Nice deck. I have a verson of this deck and i run Negate. It has been very useful actually.
I will rebuild my deck tonight with this as a foundation! Will upload a new video of it!
if I want to put 2 teferis... I don't know if it's a good idea
Thank you for this deck. Your channel is one of the best! :) I like the looks of this deck a lot. Was just wondering whether it's any good on ladder atm?
That Chemister's Insight flavor is 10/10
Oh man that chemistry pun
Wondering if you could help. I use this deck alot, it is my fav, i didnt have all the cards, but hd most of them. i recently entered a tournament for arena setup on the discord channel and was wondering if you could possibly give me an idea for a 15 card sideboard to go with this deck?
Hey any chance we see a 5 colour deck with jodah ? great deck btw
Knew I shoulda added white! I was running mono U mill with wonky results
My favorite deck archetype gets the shortest video :( Either way, thanks and I will definitely try this list!
YESS MILL I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS
I think I remember you saying that mill is not a preferred deck of yours in any format - it's my favourite archetype, so thanks for playing it LVD!
Awesome content.
The guy in Psychic Corrosion looks like Harrison Ford
Very nice dif build like it 👌👌 just 1 complain was short video 🤓🤓🤓
I'm almost there!
I'm missing 6 rares for now:
1x Settle the Wreckage
2x Cleansing Nova
3x Glacial Fortress
which one should I prioritize? and what cards can I use to temporarily replace?
I would get Cleansing Nova first, more copies of Ixalan's Binding or Radical Idea can fill in the holes.
LVD, so I don't see drowned secrets. is it just not good enough or u haven't tested it yet?
Yeah, I was wondering the same. I think it's too slow since it's not mono blue
Drowned Secrets is quite a bit slower than Corrosion in this build, and you don't need both.
Ive tried it. its WAY too slow even in mono blue.
Its not good no. The slots it takes up would be better used with something else.
Randomly met a netdeck boy who played this exact copy paste deck vs my simic deck. Liked, but just looking at the decklist dont know if it canstand the current meta, super agressive or heavy control.
Hi, thanks for the deck! What do you dowhen opponent has Gaea's Blessing in his/her deck?
You concede and move on.
I saw one punch meme deck. I hope you made it above average successful >:D
Nice build! Ive been playing mill for a while and found 4 copies of Psychic corrosion are too many, playing 1 already wins the game pretty fast and having more than one in the hand early loses the game to all aggro pretty much for me. Will definitely try your version!
I wonder how much direct challenge you have gotten already...
Why isn't Millstone used in Mill decks? Is it too slow?
Indeed
Nice deck, definitely gonna try this on my next fnm. What about the sideboard?
Do you feel this is stronger than the mono blue Drowned depths deck? (if you havent tried it I suggest making a build)
You really need better answers to creatures.
What about drowned secrets?
Not really needed, as you can see Corrosion gets there very quickly, so you would rather want more interaction.
Why not use drowned secrets?
Unneeded. Corrosion is faster and you can't afford to play too many mill-only cards.
I almost feel like splashing black for unmoored ego just for Nexus of Fate and Gaea's Blessing
Who even plays those cards ? :D
I want Psychic Spiral available again.
nice!
Just had a game today against that filthy deck.
only thing that sucks is if they have nexus of fate, then you just cant win :(
@Dingus Or a Gaea's Blessing
There are two counterspells you can sideboard in. Syncopate and Devious Cover-Up exile the countered spell. I faced a UW Teferi deck with three copies of Nexus of Fate at FNM last week and won by exiling two of them and stealing the third with Thief of Sanity.
I LOVE THIS SHIT
Psychic Corrosion = Sack of Corrosion
Was going to sleep dammit :)
1 gaea Blessing screwed deck ! thanks MTG balance removed every single counter about " gaea's blessing"
these are the worst kind of cancer to face and im going to get down with the sickness
Nexus wants to have a word with you
This will get completely destroyed in bo3, so many sideboard options to just shuffle your GY back into your library
Also a lot of counterspells to sideboard in to prevent that. But yeah, it can be quite rough.
Mill and discard, cancerous duo. Want new players quit the game ? Play those.
