I've got a similar deck myself right now, I do really like the mist-cloaked heralds but what I like as well is Flame of Keld, on the turn 3 activation your cavalcade hits 3 each time. Pretty nice
My favorite deck you have created so far. Looks ridiculously fun, has a great feel to it, and drives your opponents mad. I calling it the L1 deck. Nice job!!!!!
In the early Forgotten Realms historic meta the deck performs reasonably well. Even steadily climbs up on the lower levels of ranked. Although there are much stronger mono red versions of the cavalcade archetype it was interesting to try an other take on the idea with unblockable creatures. The play set of Raid Bombardment made the main game plan much more consistent, and four Boumat Courier easy on the mana, and also helps further lower the curve, because make the Chart a Courses unnecessary. Slither Blades fits in nicely because they are better Mist-Cloaked Heralds. There are a lot of directions where the deck can go and the experimenting is really enjoyable, because the original deck is working fine.
Really nice deck as usual. Being an old school player I am also strongly in favor of using four copies of most spells for consistency (nowadays a smorgasbord of odd spells seems to be the norm). This being said, I've tried including one Banefire after running out of steam against control a few times. It might be just a matter of psychology, but it often feels as if you are just one attack away when they start controling the board and wrestling back the initiative. Being able to hit them for five plus damage that cannot be countered as a finishing move can be crucial in such cases.
I can't help but feel with the number of lands you actually manage to play, and especially in best of ones where I ain't got time to wait until turn 50, I'd prefer Trumpet Blast/Burn Bright over Banefire for mana efficiency. It also avoids over-committing on a board in the same way playing Cavalcade does.
Perfectly reasonable, but when they cleared the board twice, started some life-gain shenanigans and you need to commit and resolve your stuff that's when Banefire is an attractive option. Usually I reach six lands before turn 50.
pretty sweet deck, i was thinking of how to make cavalcade work, my idea was with goblin gathering and stuff, never though about putting blue in. keep it up dude
So many new videos from you in so little time, thats amazing! Please, if it makes sense for you at all (with YT algorithm and all this bs), keep them coming :)
Nice I tried differents approachs and its really fun when the opponent cant sweep the board ^^ I dont remember seeing a deck working around Admiral Beckett Brass (Im very interested by the cards you could think adding to work around the effect). Always love your content cheers
Have you ever thought to play/create a video of playing and cooperating with other MTGA youtubers? That would be cool, like just 1v1 matches or a small tournament :) Like your stuff, keep up the good work! Even my girlfriend understands whats going on when you explain it :D
Does Tetsuko work with the High Alert-esk decks? Guessing it doesn't, since we haven't seen it all over the place. Know the toughness turns into power which is greater than 1 or 0, but thought I'd ask/dream. Great video as always, thanks for the ideas ;D
The opponent seems to have pump spells, it was wise to block because he already have lethal on board and there were pump spells that could make him lose the game on the spot with that attack.
This is unfortunate for me. I have been running this for a month now. A lot of the wins come from opponents not knowing what is going on. The only difference in my list is Siren Storm Tamer instead of the drake.
Drake already has evasion due to flying so adapting doesn't loose much in the case of Tetsuko and also you can adapt before damage, so you get the unblockable trigger, the cavalcades trigger and still puts 5 damage in. Storm Tamer would only be there to protect Tetsuko and since the deck is full of 1/1 there are many more untargeted sweeper effects (chainwheeler, dagger caster, novas, ...) than direct removal to worry about.
I considered it during deckbuilding, but there is a pretty big cost to adding a third color in a low landcount deck. Dovin and Heroic Reinforcements could make for a nice Jeskai Tokens list though.
Also, I think I'll replace either Light Up the Stage or Chart a Course with Flame of Keld. It's ABSOLUTELY insane with Cavalcade, each tick dealing 3 damage instead of 1 on the 3rd Chapter. With only 1 Cavalcade in play and any number of creatures is insane. With 2 cavalcades I've OTK'd lifegain decks

@@tenaciousshaman It's just the normal set number of the card and the set name, except Dominaria is DAR instead of DOM for some reason.

Really love this deck, it's dirt cheap, fun to play and it win or lose really quickly so it's ideal to grind. Good job !

Jeez, nine matches in one video!!! This deck looks a lot of fun, it has a really unique way of getting around and through other creature decks.
Tilonalli's summoner has been great for me in my calamity deck.
What would you cut from this deck to add it?
@@moooseman3 I would cut two Pteramanders for two Tilonalli 's Summoners and replace the Mist-Cloaked Heralds with Siren Stormtamers to protect them.
Nifty!
Wow amazing deck! didn't even know that Cavalcade card existed! great vid as usual!

This deck is great fast and fun to play . I have had so many games where opponent quits on turn 4

You can also go Boros for lifelinking tokens

Nice deck tried it vs. Aggro and control had a good laugh. Fun to play.

Thanks for the deck. It's very fun to play.
Only have 1 legion warboss(and don't want to craft more), replaced with some siege-gang commander, also quite nice
Ive been playing a grixis calamity list thats super sweet. Clamor shaman and tetsuko are how i get through.
I've been enjoying the mono red version. You lose tetsuko, but you get flame of keld for some nasty damage.
Thanks for the deck idea! I'd gotten 3 copies of Cavalcade from opening packs and was wondering what to do with them. :-D
Oh my god, I love this deck
Tilonalli's Summoner is awesome in this deck.

have you thought of flame of keld? causes all attacking creatures do 3 initial and 3 after
Yeah it can be very good, especially in a monored build.
I made a boros lost for cavalcade a little while back if you want it to try

Great video as always, thanks for the ideas ;D
It does and I play two copies in my Defender deck.
16:38 you're not taking 9, don't have to double chump block. Even in the case of the +1/+1 pump spell it wouldn't be lethal.
i was thinking the same thing
It was wiser to block anyway since opponent wis using pumps spells like stony strength et al.
The opponent seems to have pump spells, it was wise to block because he already have lethal on board and there were pump spells that could make him lose the game on the spot with that attack.
@@psteels You are indeed correct , as the OPP I do have 1x bounty of might in the deck but didn't draw it sadly :(
Looks like I miscounted, either way it seems safe to block. Can't beat Krasis with the extra token anyway.

I saw this deck yesterday, it is hard to beat and will pulerize you.
Not like we're entitled to an explanation, but I was wondering why you didn't play around the sweeper in ritual of soot, and leave a herald in hand.
Didn't seem like the sweeper kind of deck, and against all the spot removal we want as much pressure as possible.
How do you run into so many different decks? almost 75% of the games I played against yesterday were Izzet drakes or mono red.
That's why I don't play ranked.
@@LegenVD It wasn´t even in ranked. My gruul deck misses some lands to make it any good there. But if it is worse in ranked, I stay clear off that.
@@GermanGoodGuy Once you reach Gold in ranked, deck diversity goes down significantly. There's usually a nice mix in normal play mode.
Would cards like Trumpet Blast and/or Burn Bright help get wins out of nowhere?
Briefly mentioned it in the video, could be decent in small numbers.
@@LegenVD I apologize, I didn't notice :(
I wanna try it with march
not sure this work. 'cause if the oppenent has a sweeper it's over. but seems fun to play :)
I built a deck similar to this one, but it splashed black for Judith. Thanks for Sharing!
Ummmm...
... Isn't Judith a total nonbo with this deck? xD Like, is that a joke or...?
I cant see my wildcards anymore? where can i check how many i got?
Hover over the icon next to your gold
What about going Jeskai, add 4 Dovins and draw like crazy ?
Philippe Steels i like it!
Especially like card draw with this super low tempo curve and the upside of getting out a second cavalcade feels big haha

@@LegenVD what would you cut? Instigators?
@@EdisonRizzato I think it's just a different deck.
Goblin gathering?
4 Gatherings in a 60 card deck is a little too weak.
Would you consider using goblin gathering?
Too slow, not worth it.

@@UlfMTG In a monored build Flame of Keld seems great indeed, although it's always a little awkward in multiples.
Going against this deck either starts with “Oh shit, mono blue” or “Oh shit, mono red” and turns into “dafuq is this jank?”
Very nice video 👍 maybe you can make video about Mono U? Sorry my english, I am Russian 😊
Can we get a whirlyboi
the greatness of this deck is its cost! both in paper and MTGA is cheap as fuck hehe
sorry legend i won you this monday using a mono red and you were playing a flying deck it was honorless for me
Sorry Legend, tried this deck but current win rate have been 0%. It's awful
