Super Chase H.Q. (SNES) Playthrough - NintendoComplete

- A complete playthrough of Taito's 1993 Super Nintendo arcade racer, Super Chase H.Q.
Played through on the default settings.
Now THIS is an arcade racer. It sits up there with the likes of F-Zero and Top Gear in terms of sheer fun and playability, the graphics looks awesome (even if the interior car view obscures half the screen - it's not really that noticeable in the middle of a race), and it pretty successfully captures the essence and the fun of the original 1988 arcade game. Two thumbs up!

Nancy: "Dang it, Tony!! I can't believe you've wrecked 5 Porsche 928s in one day!"
DrNazoo1983 Yes cashed value
Oh....I found that was an unforgettable game.
The guy's eyes in the mirror make everything seem so intense!
Math Helper the computer up with all the main system! ice cream of maggie
Ripping sprites from Super Chase H.Q. would be tricky.
Possibly the roads is the hardest part.
They should remake this game but with more stages, gimmick, secrets, bonuses and easter eggs, eitheir for various new consoles generations or SNES emulators.
Who's watching in 2023?

Thank you I still have it and my super nes still going in 2017!
No. It's total shit.
Play this as a kid it trash. I hate that driver seat view. 1988 version is way better
Top gear better then this anyway way better
Yes. it's total shit
Always loved the skull on the back of the criminals vehicle
This game is same as "Super Chase: Criminal Termination", because got the same voices and some same soundtracks of the true game.
Fun fact: The "Game Over" theme used the "Stage Clear" Theme.
True!
Another nostalgic trip for me with this game, although the one I played back then was the JP version; it's got Hard Mode once you complete the game once(the car screen turns green instead of blue). Had lots of fun otherwise; will definitely play again if I have a mean of playing old games somewhat, like a emulator or something.
On most Chase H.Q. games, the final criminal is ALWAYS driving the same car as you, yet Nancy sometimes classifies it as "Unknown"
in this one he's driving a porche tho
@presleyluis4666 The final criminal is always driving a Porsche 928 just like the player’s, except for SCI, Chase HQ II(1993) and Chase HQ 2(2007)
50 seconds and I think snes is better than genesis when it comes to chase hq
Okay cool I still have it for snes I like still play it my super nes still works I don't have Sega or cd I did like Sega back in the day both systems are still good and sega cd in 2020
Wait, what? There is no denying the SNES was superior in graphics and sounds. Specifically, the SNES can scale and rotate sprites. Something that was only scene in the arcades. This game doesn't even have this. It looks horrifically, especially, realizing that Taito didn't even use scaling, which is specific to racing type games.
@@ErwinSchrodinger64 I still have super chase hq for snes and and super nes still works I also have n64 they still work okay however I never did get genesis but liked it too
ErwinSchrodinger64 Uh no. This game DOES have this and it doesn’t look horrifying. And Tatio DID use scaling. It’s not specific to racing type games. Snes is way
@@ErwinSchrodinger64 The SNES CANNOT scale and rotate sprites. It can only do this in a background layer.
you under lift pow! was apparently the gang finally chase h.q rounds 1-5
my squirrel!
He really needs to adjust his rear view mirror xD
Why this never got made for the arcade I'd never know, used to love playing this.
It was in the Arcade First. This was a Port of the Arcade game. I never played this game on the SNES but it looks amazing!
It does look like many elements were ported from Super Chase: Criminal Termination. However, the one element which is new is the damage meter for the player's car (which is likely inspired by the damage meter for the player's car in Lucky and Wild by Namco)
@@figment1988 wow. Learned something new everyday
Where's the Turbo booster feature??
I remember this arcade. Except it had a Turbo booster feature.
I'm suprised snes never made metal slug, toki,or the x-men and simpsons arcades.
The rear view mirror on this is also distracting. The arcade didn't do that.
I remember playing acclode game test drive 2 this is better than test drive
I remember I play before oh I love this game
懐かしい。難しくかった記憶がある。運転席視点とは珍しい
Yack on the SNES? Sounds different than Yack's composition in the arcade game
I did play the arcade as well both are good
Farhan Gustama Yes the moment to soon
2:11 I make that 0 to 100 in about 6 seconds :)
Got this one a few years back, not my favorite of the series, that is reserved for the original and S.C.I., but this one is still pretty cool.
Road Fighter!!!!
17:50 from behind its like modern Amg
Wow almost like a SNES Cruis'n USA
i challenge you to play the sfc version japanese version... you must beat the hard mode to see the ending.. but before you unlock the hard mode, you must beat the once with! No Continues.. how's that!? Goodluck to anyone who tries 👍 ☺
The Japanese like a challenge, since Super Mario Bros. 2 (For Super Players)
That was the version I played when I was still a young boy. Definitely very challenging alright, but can be completed. Hardcore stuffs!
For coin op conversions, no way, I think Sega Megadrive, was lightyears forward than SNES, but, if there was one title which was making me envying SNES, was this, and probably, the best coin op racing game ever released on a Nintendo machine... this game has something magic in it, for the rest, Sega Megadrive forever
I never beat this game
Hot Pursuit before Hot Pursuit
Arcade is the only way to play this game. This snes version with the actual gameplay squished down to a tenth of the screen isn’t it lol
People actually like this game?
When I first played , all I could think is how jerky movement is while game area is just 1/3 of the screen. It felt like a bastardization of the original Chase HQ.
8:59 wtf! the guy holding the gun (you) is MARTY McFLY? he has the same costume
Video Games Are Fun Yes Coninues... how's that
Is the first person viewpoint non optional? If there's a 3rd person I might hunt this cart down.. but I hate first person driving games
No, it's first person only.
Can you fail the hospital mission?
Now this was some next level shit!

Mode 7 road routine with 3 roadside objects drawn per frame, pathetic conversion of the worst in the series of this game.
This game destroys the genesis version
There wasn't a genesis version of this game ,only the previous ones
this was one of the few games my family had around that was accessible to me (i think the rest were put away somewhere) and i was always so scared of it lol. i never got past the 2nd round bc i was a big ol baby as a kid but i always remembered “this is nancy!” such nostalgia~
This game is super polished! This is amazing for SNES!
Taito was usually awesome like that :) Ninja Warriors, Operation Thunderbolt, and On the Ball were other arcade games they made that had great SNES adaptations made.
@@NintendoComplete "Operation Thunderbolt" is a very weak port, one of the most badly made games by Taito for the SNES...
You can tell this game was made from scratch instead of attempting to port the arcade original. The only thing they kept from the original was concept art and that's it. They knew better than delivering a barely functional port of a game meant to run on better hardware.
i didnt even know of this is a kid. thats insane what they got the snes doing with no addon chips. i only played the arcade one.
I always thought the ambulance driver looked stoned af. Had to quickly put on a pair of shades to hide the bloodshot eyes.
"Whoa! Hey man! Dropped my taco and my weed. Bent down to pick it up and crashed the ambulance. I fucked up. Haha! I dunno, we got some blood or some shit. Gotta deliver it to the hospital straight ahead. I appreciate the-- OH SHIT I FOUND MY TACO! HELL YEAH!"
I saw some kids playing this at the daycare when I was a kid and it scared me lol, those sirens spooked me!!
I wanted this game by today's standards
Why is the car view so low...is it a hovercraft?
That one is actually an adaptation of Super Chase Criminal Termination. Same Nancy, same bosses, same stages, same p. much everything, but pretty well adapted around the SNES's technical constraints.
There's no Turbo booster feature
@@Dman3827yes, there is, you get three every stage

Good story line. In the end before party, There is an urgent respond deliver the blood to the hospital for the emergency surgery.
The last 15 seconds always makes me laugh
Always found it funny how they confused kph with mph. 188 mph...that's an F1 😂
the car
I get that same look in my eyes when I hit the nitrous! 😁
Otsenre s system is failed!
Is he driving a 3000ZX
First stage music, same as arcade and awesome.
You have a Hp to start so you have to get Becareful when the car is Coming it if you get hit by the car you loss the Healths
Sebastian Cortés the car is crashing
This game looks great
Brando Nikle Yes. it's total shirt
It is, I love it.
Jesus, 250 MPH!!!
Lol yeah, I'm guessing they just changed the kph label to mph without ever adjusting the numbers

Chase HQ was an arcade game released in 1988. Lucky and wild was 1992. And this is a port to the SNES of the 1988 arcade game. With slight changes. Released on the SNES in 1992. And chase HQ is a sequal to taitos full throttle released in 1987.
Terrible game!
Try and make something better, dumbass
