I used to work at the deli at the Wexford Market District. People are always really specific on how they want their ham. Some people want it chipped enough to be sawdust where it takes about half an hour on the slicer to get a pound which is a real pain in the ass especially when the line is long. And then people would complain about getting the pre chipped Isaly's we had in the case even though it's popular enough it never sits in the case for more than an hour and is just as fresh as us chipping it to order.

We didn't have snow boots n the 60's as kids. We put on six pairs of socks, then Town Talk bread bags, then our rain boots. Still had ice cold wet socks after an hour of sled riding, so we'd peel them off and do the whole process again. Always got holes in the bags. Just thought that was what all children did.

Ok to update my previous post, at first I could not find the Pittsburgh Dad hot sauce at the Giant Eagle Donaldson Crossroads, I saw a manger and ask “Do you know Pittsburgh Dad”? , he responded yes and took me to the section. I wanted the hot sauce; it is located next to the “Colony Sauce” and Rachael Ray whatever” the Pittsburgh Dad hot sauce section is near sold out, the steak sauce not so much . I tried the hot sauce, its great, only problem no little plastic hole piece for shaking, so be careful and pour easy. Dad says put it on eggs, I used it on pan-fried potatoes. Taste great.

Yeah, I grew up in Chicago, and we put brown paper covers on our school books. You could doodle on 'em, write stuff but nothing dirty or my teachers would make you cross it out or even tear the cover off. God help you if they thought you were drawing or writing in the books themselves.
