Seeing the puzzle solved animation made me really happy. It's been years since I played through the games, and I can still hear "Layton's apprentice strikes again!"

I don't think I've been this excited for a game in a while, it looks like it'll certainly be a little bit of a different take than previous games but I'm absolutely loving it-- the fans of the games are older now, so it makes sense that the art-style is more developed, and the puzzles are a little more difficult. A little sad the game has been delayed to 2025, however I hope the dev team takes all the time and resources they need to realize this game. Even the small touches, such as the fully-animated cutscenes before and after the puzzles, or being able to see Luke and the Professor in the investigation part of gameplay, really help to tie in the world they're making, which I feel like was the main thing that was lacking from the original trilogy.
The thing is, if this game releases in 2025 for Switch (when most likely Nintendo will develop a new console by then), it will be in a strange situation. My guess is that level-5 will make us wait till 2025 because they are thinking of making the game available for different devices, not only for Nintendo systems.
A full voice acted professor layton game? It's like a dream came true. I never played any of the games, only watched the entire series back in 2017 (yet to fully watch Layton's Mystery Journey) and fell in love with it. I am planning on playing this one! If only it can be released on PC too.

I love how this is looking. The visuals, the sound effects, the music, the iconic puzzle style. But one thing that really puts me off is Luke's new model. He looks very... derpy? I defenitely think they made his eyes too big when comparing it to his younger model. I also really hope the game is set to release on the 'normal' switch and switch lite, with the add-on of a stylus, instead of a whole new Switch type.

Omg i cant breath, this looks fantastic. Seems like they did some changes given the change in console and interface but I don't mind it at all, it just seems like a fresh upgrade. I'm slightly disappointed maybe not to see the cutscenes animated in 2D but surprisingly the change of animation seems extremely good anyway, layton still looks like him even if 3d, defo a better model than the 3ds one, and everything just gives a nice charm for me.
Not only does it look STUNNING it also goes back to our favorite Duo WELL DONE LEVEL-5! Now please I know that is the hardest part but please give us a great story and puzzles that do Akira Tago jusice and we are cooking something absolutely special here!
I'm quite excited for this game! When I was a kid my mom and I would play these games together, looking forward to playing this one with her after so long.
I think i will warm up to the 3D models, they do look good. We're all just used to the 2D ones we grew up with. During the video cutscenes they usually animate them really well so I hope it stays like that. So excited for the game 😭

The New World of Steam looks really great, can't wait until the 2025 video game comes out. The first time I saw and heard of Professor Layton video, was the 2018 Layton's Mystery Journey game. I met my girlfriend toward the 2019 and two years later, she introduced me to the Professor Layton series after I bought her the Eternal Diva movie from Zia Records. From April through October of 2021, we watched the walkthroughs of each game, and we put the sixth game on hold for a while. However, we are halfway through the final game. Flora Reinhold became one of my favorite characters during the original trilogy, she didn't much of a role in Diabolical Box and she was completely tossed aside during Unwound Future. I really hope that in The New World of Steam, Flora will return and get to play an even bigger role during the Professor Layton and Luke's new adventure. Two years ago, I told my girlfriend that Flora is a badass, and that she deserves to have her own video game, The plot should take place 8 years in the future, with Flora opening up her own restaurant, she reunites with her old mentor Layton and Luke, where she meets Emmy who trains her in martial arts. Maybe the video will come out in the year 2032.
The Katrielle game takes place at least 15 years after the original trilogy. This game takes place 1 year after the original trilogy. It doesn't take a hint coin to realize that this game has nothing to do with Katrielle. I honestly hope they retcon her.
I wonder how the English dub is gonna fare. I'll still play it even if I have to using the JP dub, but it probably wont feel the same after getting too used to English Layton lol
I loved the first two Layton games, but then the puzzles started to get more and more annoying. At some point more than half of them were sliding puzzles. I hope this game brings more variety again.
The characters really put me off since they're in 3D now. I might get used to it, though. As long as the reat of the game is really good, I eon't mind it as much. I really hope this one's good!
I really hope it's still for the Nintendo switch I mean it was mentioned for the Nintendo switch back in February but I'm worried it'll be for the Nintendo switch 2 whenever that comes out but I do hope it comes out. Puzzles take a long time to do after all

My only criticism for these models is I wish Luke’s hair was a little more brown but overall I think they are really nice looking!
