God your game looks so awesome! ❤ Love the skit idea 👀 And gotta give mad respect for the outfit system because man that must have taken so much work wow! ❤
I really like the art style of the game. It's always nice to see a fellow RPG Maker dev making a JRPG. I made a few of them myself (one commercial one and a few game jam games) I wish you luck on your project though.
OHMGEEE took me OUT telling poor Celes to put some clothes on dude. I adore your art style so much, and I'm looking forward to playing this game when it's ready!!! (and looking forward to more vids)
Thank you so much for sharing your progress! I had subscribed since your parallax maps had inspired me so much, but it is awesome to hear where you are on your project. It looks fantastic and I am totally looking forward to giving that first demo a try!
I really love how your game looks, may i ask how long it took you to get to this point, im new to rpg maker so i wanna have a generally realistic idea of how long its take for me to make this game, and also are you the only one working on this project? Because that is so absurdly impressive
It is just me working on the game! As for the time thing.... I'm probably not the best one to ask because I was in law school for 3 years and really couldn't touch the project except a bit on winter breaks. But I started working on the game a year before law school, and got not much to show for it except learning the engine a bit. Didn't touch it hardly at all for 3 years. Then I've done this last year of work where I've gotten the most progress done. So two years with a decent amount of time spent, + 3 years of sometimes thinking about the game when I lay in bed at night lol. Also, I'll be the first to admit that this is a highly ambitious project. It's entirely possible I never finish it at all, and finishing a game is the most important part of game developing. But... I make this for fun, not profit, so I'm happy with the time and effort I put into it. I expect to spend at least another year on it, possibly longer depending on life situation. I know this is a super long winded comment, but I just wanted to stress that your timeline will be a direct reflection of your life, the time you can put into the project, how quickly you learn new programs and skills, how much of it you want to do yourself vs. using premade things... etc. My biggest timesaver with this game is supplementing a lot of premade assets into my maps, icons, even outfits! I have to edit it to meet my needs, but it cuts down time to have an already-made starting point.
Hi Tei! Your project is really inspiring! Do you think you could do a video compiling the resources (e.g., tile assets, scripts, guides, etc.) you've found helpful in furthering your game?
Your game makes me feel like I'm back in the PS1 days. It's such a vibe

Thank you! Yeah, the outfits are... a lot. Haha. But it's so cute so it's worth it (I keep telling myself lol)!!!
