😂 You can see his hand moving while the pendulum is "answering his questions". Silliness. 👏😊 Besides that though, excellent story telling and a great video! Thank you for braving the cold night to share with us! 🙏☺️
Fascinating, asking the right questions which I like, Guy Fawkes living in Scotton, wow 😮 that is where my grandparents lived in one of the old cottages, very interesting to find that out.
At 39.27 on the video where You are stood in the shambles, the building at the end has 2 square windows, the right window light flashed on and off really quickly. If you blink you will miss it (just as he asks if the ghost knows you. I’m not sure what the building is.. but the right window light definitely flashed off and then back on 👀🙈 x
Guy Fawkes and Youngs Hotel (Fawkes Hotel) have nothing to do with each other and Youngs Hotels new manager wanted to find something to associate new property and picked on Fawkes. The Family is known to have lived in a property in Stonegate and a long lost Passageway (Petergate - Blake St)
Very interesting. Maybe you should try and do some sort of indoor event in one of the properties. That way you might get some good responses. I believe the initial person who said they new Guy, might of been a girlfriend or relative. Good, enjoyed watching but l didn't see anything persay. Thanks this made my November the 5th as well as doing the Tour on Halloween, love mad Alice Natalie and Dom x
Hi Natalie, our orginal plan was to go into venues connected to Guy Fawkes. However Mr Johnson has scuppered our plans and so we had to bring the event forward and pre-record it. As it was last minute, the venues either couldn't accommodate us at the time we had available and also as York was currently in Tier 2 prior to lockdown it was difficult for us to mix indoors as we are from multiple households. But this has given us a taster and we hope to investigate further when possible. But thanks for coming on the tour!!!
Very fascinating. I hadn't realised they had got Margaret Clitheroe's house all wrong all this while! I just asked friends of mine from York & they said they heard she actually lived opposite - either the Earl Grey Tea Rooms, Bari or The Edinburgh Woollen Mill. Is this true? Thanks.
I've been on ghost walks in York many times, usually the same one and the best. It is the shrine of Margaret Clitheroe in the Shambles, which is in the house where she is meant to have lived where many people claim to sense her ghost which is actually the wrong house. Council f*cked up.
Can’t wait till things get back to normal gonna have a full wk in your fair city do the York wall and seek your ghost walk tour out take care and keep talking 👏👏👏👏👏
Plenty of good ghost walks to choose from in York. Others are more serious and sympathetic to the likes of Margaret Clitheroe. I'd recommend the oldest one that leaves from the Exhibition Centre (or did). No dressing up, no gimmicks, just great history and story telling. This is BS. All the stories are already very well known.
I know this is 2 years but I was on one of the walks on 5th May this year, highly recommended, Mad Alice is a brilliant storyteller , hope you get to go on or have been on one of the walks

I have stood looking down this stretch many times in the past. It's the Greggs window with the flash.
Also Fawkes went to St Peters School, but in 1600 it was a traveling school ie. no fixed location and he attended that school that was in Clarence St.

Alice, what is the Source for Jack and Christopher Wright, and Guy Fawkes being present at the Execution of Margaret Clitheroe?
Looking at your gloves, you are a classy lady in normal life !
