I always like it when a pro tester gives a little laugh after hitting this type of iron. Put em in the bag!

Me too, I have a morbid curiosity with the one length phenomenon.

I absolutely stroke my 7 iron compared to all others. I used to think, "I wish all my irons were 7 irons," and never knew about one length irons. I am currently obsessed with the idea but haven't tried it out yet.

Got fit for a set of Aero Jets. Struggled with lack of dynamic loft. Was adding loft with a slow swing speed. Stronger lofts with a low launching graphite shaft fitted perfect. Cant wait to get them on the course!

I checked the specs on these today and the loft jacking in this set is crazy. That 5 iron is close to an old school 3 iron.

Cobra is a great value and very underrated. More amateurs, especially the "weekend warriors" should game Cobra clubs. I play 1 Length and love them and a Cobra guy going on 8 years since I took up golf on a serious basis.

Tried the LTDX model and loved it but could not generate enough spin to control the ball on the green, are these clubs more suited to golfers with a slower club head speeds, (high 60s - low 70s)

1:59 64.8 feet is poor ball height and is exactly why I sold my Callaway rogue irons last week, and buying a new set with more loft. Too many greens hit and roll off the back. My Rogues had a 27* 7-iron and these Aerojets have 26.5*. If you just want to brag about how far you hit the ball, get these. If you want to score better then get irons that you can stop balls on the green with.

    • @JDSFLA

@@paulmcgee1867 She did not give them in this review. My own experience with 7 iron was about 70 feet with the Callaway Rogue X and 102 with new clubs I am getting. Carry actually 1 yard longer with the new ones (tested at Golf Galaxy who use Trackman). I will know more late today after the new irons arrive as I have a golf simulator at home.

@@paulmcgee1867 OK Paul here is the big reveal on my new irons delivered last hour. I bought the Sub 70 model 799 hybrid-irons after trying out the Cleveland Launcher XL Halo at Golf Galaxy. They are both very similar and you can find reviews on each by searching "Tour Experience Golf Sub 70 799" on RUclips. Sub 70 is much less expensive as a direct-to-consumer brand. My custom built order (1" long, 2* up, Midsize grip with 3 wraps - shipping, head covers and a Sub 70 cap all at no charge) arrived in 10 days. I have a SkyTrak simulator at home, and here are some average 7-iron numbers versus my now sold Callaway Rogue X irons. 799 has 30* loft, and shaft is TT Elevate MPH 95, reg., Rogue 27* with TT XL 105 Stiff shaft. Least you think the shafts make a big difference, I have a set of Callaway Mavrik at a vacation home (also 27* loft 7-iron) with TT Elevate ETS 95 reg., and the numbers for the Rogue and Mavrik are pretty much identical.
Rogue - average carry high 150's, average height 20 yards (60'), average descent angle 40*
      799 - average carry 163, average height 28 yards (84'), average descent angle 45*.
The looks of the 799 will not please some, but my focus is on results and the 799 wins on all the stats. My swing speed tops out at 78 mph for 7-iron and the hybrid-irons help me get more height. I feel low-loft irons may require a higher swing speed to get sufficient height and descent angle.
