    As someone who has a swing speed around 75-80 mph its nice to see a club review with similar speeds. I'm in the market for new irons this year and its refreshing to see a channel where the creator doesn't have a swing speed of 100 mph. Gives me a better idea of how my swing speed would work with clubs. Keep up the good work. I think the reviews you do at these swing speeds gives the average golfer a better idea of how these clubs would perform for them!!

      Hi TriumphantDave 26! Thank you for watching my video and your really nice comment! As a new-ish and quite small RUclips channel it’s comments like this that make it worth the effort so thank you! Have a great weekend, all the best!

    This channel seems way better than the sub count would indicate.

      Hi Steven! Thank you for watching my video and for the comment! I’m still fairly new to making RUclips videos and must admit it I’m finding it’s more difficult than I thought to grow my subscribers! So thank you for your comment, it’s kind words like yours which keep me positive and make me think that I’m doing the right things and will hopefully get there eventually! All the best, Luke

    I love my new aerojets, absolute game changers, already have shaved 8 strokes in a week. I've never hit a ball so pure as I do these. They feel fantastic and easy to hit and I am by no means a great golfer

    thanks for great video, got custom fit for these a couple of months ago, absolutely love them , tried other major brands but these just seemed to work for me as I've a slow swing speed, using Kbs tour 90 shafts in them, greetings from Ireland

    13:55 Just ordered a set of these Cobras. Have to agree with pretty much everything said here about them. I'm pretty much replacing all the irons due to the gap differences.
    I've been playing with Callaway Big Bertha irons for just over 4 years and they've never felt right. Low club speed and 7 iron average at 143yds. The Cobra 7 iron averaged at 169, with many shots going to 175yds. Managed 5000+ spin reasonably regularly too.
    The one thing I was told when trying the Cobra is that the club speed must be positive.... the built in forgiveness works best with positive club speeds, so the miss hits end up being more forgiving.
    Looking forward to delivery time!!
    Purchased 6-GW, and also ordered a Ping edge to effectively replace the Callaway approach iron.

      Hi Loveclose! Thank you so much for watching my video and for sharing your own experiences with being fitted for these irons - I’m sure it will help future viewers! Sounds like you’ve had a great experience and can’t wait to hear how it goes when you get them out on the course too! All the best! 👍🏼

      @weekendtourpros Certainly will... three to four weeks lead time.
      Must confess, I had a few concerns over the club loft issue... all the irons appear to have less loft across the range, but they do generate good height.
      I had a real issue with my Callaway 5 iron...2 out of 10 shots would be hit flush, with the others really heavy. Rarely used consequently.
      I was concerned that the Cobra 6 iron loft would be nearer a 5- iron loft, so asked if I could hit a Cobra 5- iron to see how it would go. Despite the 5- iron head being on a7- iron shaft, I managed two excellent strikes.
      Other irons in tried....Pings and the Callaway HD irons. Neither generated the club speed, spin or distance that the Cobra did.

    I got fitted today, hit ping, taylormade, mizuno,cobra, and the cobra arrow jet was hands downs the best for me, wasnt even close really, now i get to wait 2 weeks to get them 😒
    Only hit a 7 iron, ball speed was around 110, spin was 5,200, was getting 100 feet of height, launch angle 20 degree. Was landing about 165 yards

    Thanks for the video and testing the new Cobra Irons. I tried them at the local shop and had nearly exact the same numbers than you. 😉They felt so comfortable to play (HCP is 13.8) with a great feedback by hitting the ball. So, my decision was made - and I ordered them. Can't wait to play them on the course! ⛳
    PS: for those, who are also interested in this clubs: I tried the spec with the recoil 460 shafts graphit regular.

      Hi Torsten! Thank you for watching the video and your detailed comment! Great to hear you also saw similar numbers with the Cobra off of a similar handicap as me too! Like you, I thought they felt great!
      Really interesting to hear about the shaft you tried - hopefully that will help others watching the video too! All the best and can’t wait to hear how you get on with them!

      Hi Paul! Thank you so much for such a kind comment and for subscribing to the channel! I really do appreciate it! That is exactly why I started the channel! It’s something I do as a hobby and I’m learning as I go, making lots of mistakes on the way but it’s great fun, allowed me to connect with loads of likeminded golfers and comments like this make it worthwhile! So thank you! All the best 👍🏼

    Hi fella, great vid! Ordered a custom set of these 5-GW so looking forward to olaying my first ever set of fitted irons. Did you try the gaoy wedge at all? Im hoping ill be able to use it around the greens for chipping but not sure if ill get enough feedback and spin

    • @weekendtourpros
      @weekendtourpros  Год назад +1

      Hi Rob! Thanks for watching my video and for your kind comment! Sadly with demo sets I only get to test a single iron, usually a 7 iron. From experience of owning several sets I definitely think a gap wedge is a great option for playing a lot of shots around the greens but I’m sure in time you’ll probably want a specialist wedge (like a SW or LW) for those shots where a lot of loft is your only option but based on my testing, don’t be put off with going second hand to begin with - the performance drop off isn’t significant and it’s a good way to see what you like! All the best with the irons - Cobra make great clubs at a good price point and were also the brand of my first set of fitted irons! 👍🏼

      Hi Antti! Thanks for watching the video and the comment! I couldn’t say for certain if they felt soft or solid but I know I usually prefer a softer feeling Golf ball off the club face so maybe softer? All I know is they felt great! Hope you’re keeping well?!

    My 5 iron is 26°, so...

    • @weekendtourpros
      @weekendtourpros  Год назад +1

      Hi Bill! Thanks for watching the video and for your comment! I hear you! My 5 iron in my current set is 24 degrees, so very close to yours! I definitely think we need people to be educated on the difference in genuine distance gains and manufacturers just strengthening lofts which I think is your point!?
      However I am amazed from testing many of these types of irons how the chunky design allows the manufacturers to put weight low and further back, which in turn lowers the centre of gravity and means that the static loft (e.g 26.5 degrees) can still deliver the same launch, peak height and land angles as a traditional iron with 31-32 degrees of loft!
      What’s your views?

  • @atfinthehouse8631
    @atfinthehouse8631 Год назад +2

    Why does “appearance” factor into this so much with you guys. You only play into marketing and drive costs up for no reason. Creates hype. Quality of the metal, how it is designed and structured, durability, face milling.
    The rest is garbage.

    • @weekendtourpros
      @weekendtourpros  Год назад +1

      Hi ATF! Thanks for watching! The reason I comment on the looks of the club is because a lot of people ask me about it in the comments and so seems to be important to a lot of golfers - my channel is all about making content people want to see so that’s why! You’re obviously different and that’s cool to hear! I wish I could enjoy playing clubs I don’t enjoy the look of! Sadly it’s hard to comment on durability based on hitting the clubs for an hour but I’m fortunate my subscribers who own the clubs are often kind enough to feedback after a while owning them and I’m always keen to promote those comments to give a rounded view where possible!
      I also think you give me far too much credit if you think my small RUclips channel that I do as a hobby to try and give an average golfers perspective is driving up costs and creating hype! I’ll take it though! 😂😂😂👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
      All I can tell you about these irons is that I thought Cobra have made a fantastic game improvement iron which is substantially cheaper than most of their competitors which can only be a good thing and as someone who has previously played cobra irons and still plays a cobra hybrid I can’t knock the brand at all.
      All the best and I hope you give the channel another chance! 👍🏼
