Hey Robbie, I used to be a big guy too, but I changed, I had to re health. Anyway this worked for me. I stopped drinking booze and fizzy drinks, I went vegetarian (Avocados are your friend), I drank lemon water, slice a lemon and add water, hot or cold. 1 coffee a day. I ate a lot of dairy and eggs, avocado, cucumber and cream cheese. Lots of pasta and rice dishes. lost 30+kg. Didnt increase exercise, but I stayed activeish
I’m 48 and grew up in Northern NSW, fishing the Gwydir river. As a kid I was always given the job of getting the bait - digging worms for hours and catching yabbies by the hundred. These days we use chicken breast or chicken thigh. It’s fantastic bait and so easy to get.
I enjoy your vids I’m from the USA the state of Pennsylvania, I fish for a lot of different species but mostly trout, it’s interesting to see how other folks fish around the world and I picked up some techniques from you that I can apply here on creeks in my area and I’ve bin fishing for 59yrs. Great job.
Thanks Deb. Haha Thay is one of my favourite sayings. It runs through my head every time I start packing way too many lures to go fishing, it too many cameras. Haha
Nice work mate, I reckon that fat will work very well. Spewing about the huge bite you missed! I caught a 70cm carp on a huge cube of cheese and a massive hook the other day while fishing for cod LOL
GOOD bit of improv. Chicken usually gets a few fish in fresh AND salt water! I've been getting IN to the whiting the past few weeks! Had a few BIG feeds of whiting! Had a feed tonight!
Thanks UF. Thays awesome. Are they King George Whiting? I caught some over 20 years ago at Portland. They were the easiest fish that I have ever filleted.

Mr. Jack of all trades, nice job with the net and little shrimp trap. Love the idea of the beef fat, seems perfect, but having the same problem with the Edward, water levels all over the place, temps all over the place, and the fishing seems hit or miss lately. Great job and look forward to seeing you use the 'secret' bait again!
LOL 😂 Improvisation at its best love it. I always take with me Inghams Chicken Chippees (LOL that’s my secret bait) not nuggets because I find they are to chunky. I caught but never got into the boat a huge cod on a piece of chicken Chippees about 10mm long, my gung-ho mate didn’t use the net correctly- head first only. Awesome video
In answer to your question about Yellowbelly taking cheese, Robbie. In over 20 years of fishing the Murrumbidgee, I caught a 40cm Yella on some Colby cheese last week. I had another rod with a yabbie on a paternoster rig about a metre away from the rod with the cheese too.
Hey mate. I have a cod in my fish tank she's been there for 10 years now and she lives on beef chicken pork and prawns. Not the fat but the lean meat. CHEERS

A very good step to loosing weight, drop the carbs, it's simple, clear and unambiguous (no BS negotiations with yourself). Don't confuse simple with easy.
Totally off topic here but things are heating up here in Canada as I'm sure you are aware. I just wanted to take a moment and thank you for what you are doing. I'd rather be fishing BUT the government has messed up managing that so badly you more often than not end up striking out when you do get to the water.
Thanks mate. Thay really sux. Our fisheries managers do an amazing job here in my state. The next stage to my west, South Australia has the worst fishing in the country.
The next time your returning fish back in the water, try putting them back in a bit more gentle as throwing them like you do will actually kill them, it won’t kill them straight away but can happen over a day or two.
No disrespect mate, but how do I do that from that height? If I walk down to the lower ground then they are out of the water for too long and I risk having my other rod pulled in when I am not there. These fish live in rocky gorge country in both NSW and Victoria when they tumble over ledges and small waterfalls. I've actually jumped into the water from much higher and it's really not that bad.
@@robbiefishing you seem to have every excuse under the sun……have to walk to far……fish out of the water for too long………other rod might get pulled in……it’s got nothing to do with fish tumbling over rocky ledges or water falls…….or you jumping into the water from great heights…..
