That's why if you're interested in real artistic and passionate pursuits in music, you dig underground. Indies and no-names are where all the good shit is with just about all forms of art and entertainment. Well, these days, anyway.
How I'm using it anyway, Indie is simply shorthand for "Independent." It refers most often to bands that are self-operative without production or publication assistance from large, commercial record labels. The definition stretches from people entirely handling production and publication single-handedly to guys that release under smaller-budget record labels. The general idea of indie is the liberty of the artist, musicians that aren't confined by contracts and creatively tampered with by focus test-minded CEOs. If you need some examples, the likes of Red Vox, Perturbator or Scythelord count as such. Beyond that, freelance folks like Jake Kauffman could be considered indie musicians, as he is not tied to any corporate entity, rather selling his services to anyone interested.
Frank Johansen sorry, but your Are out of Time! For example, listen to "the Stage" avanged sevenfold! . . .people like you Are Not involved in new Stuff!

Never get sick of this. Imagine rolling up to this gig and then getting Burn and Stormbringer in the first song. Just epic beyond belief and what a version!
For all those talking shit. See if you can beat the hell out of a set of drums when you are Tommy Aldridges age. He's the God of triplets. His drum tech. said he never saw anybody who hits the drums as hard as Tommy. Haters can die.
+Stymie S Fucking A, I give credit where credit is due. Even Phil Collins was a badass, you just didnt know if you lapped up what MTV used to serve.

+kenny Roberts does 1987 ring a bell.
Yes, but this one is better I think
i dunno whitesnake had so many great musicians it's hard to pick
but come to think of it i'd say this line up with sykes instead of reb would have been the greatest.
+Alex Ryan IMHO the Marsden/Moody/Lord/Murray/Paice lineup is unbeatable. Sykes is just a show wanker and so are Vai, Beach and Aldritch
there is no such things today. pure happiness and breathtaking show
