The Ed Sullivan Show was a television variety program that aired on CBS from 1948-1971. For 23 years it aired every Sunday night and played host to the world's greatest talents. The Ed Sullivan Show is well known for bringing rock n' roll music to the forefront of American culture through acts like Elvis Presley, The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones. The entertainers each week ranged from comedians like Joan Rivers and Rodney Dangerfield, to Broadway stars Julie Andrews and Richard Burton, to pop singers such as Bobby Darin and Petula Clark. It also frequently featured stars of Motown such as The Supremes, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder and The Jackson 5. The Ed Sullivan Show was one of the only places on American television where such a wide variety of popular culture was showcased and its legacy lives on to this day.

This is my uncle! He was so fun to have around, he was my favorite! This video brings back so many great memories!!!
That's so cool! Well, you have every right to be proud of him. His skills as a magician were impeccable.
Funny, he's my Great Uncle! My grandma's brother.
This dude is a badass!
And my great grandfather lol naaaa but the man, is great indeed! A pleasure to watch
Saw this last night! I realized I was sitting there watching this guy and I was mesmerized! Talented magician!!
dude is from my hometown in kentucky....hes came to our house lots of times
I was most impressed by the rings of smoke. The sleight of hand with the balls was great too.
MeTV has the Ed Sullivan show on Sunday night, and I just saw Carazini on his show. On the same episode, they also had The Rascals, Petula Clark, Eddie Fisher, and other acts.
Me too... then we both jumped on YT to watch it again...Funny!
@ Kai and Rita-- I see that I am not the only one to see Carazini on the Ed Sullivan show and then get on RUclips to see him again. I had never heard of Carazini before seeing him tonight. This first aired on September 10, 1967.

On Sunday nights I turn to MeTV for Columbo, then Ed, Carol, Dick, Ralph, Rod & Alfred.
Starting next Sunday 7/19 they are changing their schedule.
Columbo will be starting 2 hrs earlier, followed by 2 episodes of Monk. (love Monk too).
That will put Ed starting a half hour later.
@ Kai Larsen-- I watch many of these shows on MeTV on Sunday nights also. My favorite show comes on after Alfred Hitchcock, which is "The Fugitive" starring David Janssen. Unfortunately, it comes on at 2:00 am which means I am up until 3:00 am.
I did notice that in the future on MeTV on Sunday night, the Ed Sullivan show will be on at 10:00 pm. I wonder if it will be on for an hour as I think it was always an hour show when it was first aired.

Next weeks listing still lists Ed as a half hour, same as it is now.
There's no way I can stay awake for the hours you're talking about.
I have a hard enough time staying awake through Alfred most nights.
It's always annoying waking up to the end credits.
That is my mom dad
Ok call me stupid…but could someone plz tell me just HOW he does the magical smoke trick?? Thx in advance!
Soundtrack sounds a little too 90s synthesised to be from 1967.
I have another version of this in a video called "Ed Sullivan - World's Greatest Novelty Acts - 1964-1971". Have had it for a few years and don't recall where I got it now. In any case, this version of Mr. Carazini here is MUCH cleaner visually, but you're right - in the version I have, the music is completely different and sounds much more like what you'd expect from 1967.
@@Ffwee it is because whoever now owns The Ed Sullivan Show archives won't pay the music clearance licenses to use the original music that accompanied these great acts on the original Sullivan show, so they just overdub bland generic royalty free music.
