George, Colombia is not 10x cheaper than the cheapest US state, it's 5x cheaper at best, usually only about 4x though, depends on the city and probably most important the area of the city you're living and shopping in, and Santiago is a good bit more expensive than most Colombian cities, so I'm not sure what you're talking about.

Man those toll lanes are such a scam. In my state the freeway is rolled now. And so the traffic is so terrible on the areas they tolled because of course nobody wants to pay ten dollars for driving on a freeway we have payed for already they just made the freaking shoulder a lane. But it’s only open when they say it’s open not a lane all the time. Our state only gets about 10% of the revenue from these tolls abd the rest is going to some private business in Texas or something. What a scam. Like everything public private partnership, actually I’m sure it doesn’t mean that but it seems like it here. Private extract public funds.
