    This was a sad adventure. Poor little boy and poor ISOLA, very sad but a wonderful little poem from her brother. All deaths are tragic. My wife and I were 4months apart in age. My wife first got cancer in 1993, again in 1998. We lived life to the fullest with our children in our arms never parting without saying I love you. As life passed along and happy as could be, her cancer returned with a vengeance in 2011 at the young age of 49. She only spent 17 days in the hospital and never came home. These last 13 years have been harder than I could ever have imagine. I cried every day for six straight years along with our children. I wish I could have said words of encouragement or maybe a little poem, but I just can’t do it. There is a hole in my heart that can never be filled and even with the passage of time my tears still flow for my beautiful wife Janet.

    • @saschacunliffe7383
      @saschacunliffe7383 3 месяца назад +2

      You loved her so, as did your children. Of course you cry, why shouldn't you? Cry and release the sorrow in your soul . Think of how lucky you were/are to have experienced such depth of a connection with a fellow traveller in life. What if you had never met her? Impossible to imagine. She enriched your life with your precious children - how amazing! She was your soulmate and you will rejoin her once again (not yet), for the next adventure together. But you sound so kind and caring. Perhaps one day you will meet another precious love. No nonsense now about comparing these ladies! They will be different and both very, very special. Don't dismiss the thought. Your children and grandchildren would be thrilled to see you so happy and fulfilled and remember you still have a great deal of life left to live. Each human soul must live to its greatest potential so don't shut down that wonderful , loyal and generous heart, open the shutters on it, just a bit and when you can stand it, a little bit more and more. You need to sort out all that love left in you! Give yourself some, because you need it so much, give some to your darling children, your other family and friends. And remember to keep some behind for the future! You're going to require it, I feel sure!! xxx

    Oscar would have been about 18 when he wrote Requiescat for Isola, but 12 or 13 when she actually died. Oscar's mother, the Lady Speranza, was a hopeless romantic and a free spirit. It is easy to divine where Oscar derived his sensibilities. He had his mother's sense of theatre, so was a natural-born, gifted, and extremely successful playwright. Loving to be at the centre of all, he detested "scenes" with his paramour, Lord Alfred Douglas. After he was released from prison, he swiftly retreated to France where he maintained a very low profile until his death.😮
    I could imagine Speranza being prostrate with grief, genuinely so, with the death of Isola, as much weeping and wailing as could be considered "decent" for the wife of a Knight. Once everything was over, she would have pulled herself together, pretty sharpish, and resumed the "salons" including the good and the great, which had become a staple in her life.

    Enjoyed watching! When you talked about ancestry mine is Irish from my grandmother from my mother’s side, mother. My great grandfather’s name was John Brown. Then French from my dad’s mother. I met two great aunts that were nuns that lived to 104, 102 as a child about seven years old I met them at a family reunion. Then my dad’s, dad family was German and the came by boat to the US and some went to Australia. We find dad’s last name in NY and it’s not one of those well known names. Then my mom’s, dad was Indian. I had ancestors from the Trails of Tears. So I have a mixture. My dad use to joke we’re kinda like the best bred mutts. lol a little bit of the best.

    I wanted to tell you of something that came in to my RUclips feed. I wanted to email you, but didn't see a way to do that. So I apologize for interrupting this beautiful video.
    There was a video saying it came from Grave Visitations...had your initials. So i clicked on the video titled "Mummified Remains of Joseph Marconnot Stuffed with Sawdust and Straw". It had a picture of the deceased at rest. When I clicked on it it was puzzling as the guest and interviewer were obviously American, by their accents. I kept waiting to hear you come in with a voice-over explaining who these people were...friends of yours somewhere in America? But no, that was not forthcoming, so .now I am concerned they are trying to hijack your name and channel.
