For anything like Drum n Bass or hard Metals the Bose isn't that great. It just lacks the dynamic. But other than that, wow, it blew my mind how great the speaker is, how clear it is and how well separated everything sounds.
Finally someone talking about the Flex on its back. It does sound much better with a wider sound stage. Hi-hats, snare drums, and any background notes are much more pronounced and cleaner on its back. Standing up can sound more compressed. The JBL tends to sound echoy to me. I guess some people would call it a boxy sound. Just doesn’t sound natural. As for loudness, how loud does someone want it? You’ll go deaf people! Around the house I usually listen to my Flex at 50%. If needing loud for a party I’d wouldn’t use either speaker. Maybe the Charge 5, but these are not meant for parties. Gatherings yes, parties not so much.
Right I like it that as well. I’m forced to stand it up for the video or I would get way more comments about it’s laying down blah blah blah hahaha. But I like it that way as well 👍🏾👍🏾
@Okinawa_Bird I totally agree. I much prefer it on its back. At very high volume the treble can be much on its back, but at moderate volume on the back it is way better. You can hear background notes and instruments much better. It has a wider sound stage. Standing up can sound a little compressed.
I bought the Bose yesterday. Sounds really flat to me. I mean, it sounds good, but not great. Was gonna return it today, watched this, and was like "so you should lay it on its back?" Hell yeah, NOW the Bose sounds great. Such a simple fix.
Haven’t tried both. Have the BSF but have had & read confirmation issues w charging it. I’ve tried everything several times over & it doesn’t seem to charge 100%. 😔
I think the bose sounds better for the bass and just a great all around sound. It may sound a little muffled at times. depending on the song. The jbl is louder but it sounds kind of tinny.
IT’S LONG BUT PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ THIS. They are the same size and according to the internet the bose has a larger transducer than the JBL but the JBL has a tweeter and an adjustable equalizer within the app where as at this time on the bose connect app there is not an equalizer to adjust the sound. But I have another bose speaker and it uses a different music app and it runs on the bose msuic app and in the bose music app it has an equalizer so you can adjust the bass and the treble to your liking. And in the JBL portable app you can do the same thing except you can also adjust the mid-range. Bose could add an EQ to there app in the future/near future. Bc I read on the internet that when the JBL flip 6 was released it did not have an adjustable eq within its app for its speakers. But now it has an eq in the app. I think with the equalizer off on the JBL the bose sounds better but with the eq on I think the JBL sounds better. So if bose added an equalizer that could change things. I know the speaker has position IQ technology where it’s supposed to adjust the sound depending on which way you lay it but it would be nice to be able to turn that off if you wanted to. A similar portable speaker called the sonos roam has a similar feature but in the sonos s2 app you can turn that feature off. In the bose app you cannot do that or on the speaker itself either. And also Sonos has an adjustable EQ within the app like the JBL. The bose is behind the times with that but I bet they’ll change for the better. I would turn position IQ off and have an equalizer set to my liking if I could. I prefer my bose soundlink flex to sit upright so it’s pointing at me but they say it will produce more bass if you lay it flat, in my testing this is true. A little more bass for sure. Which I like. But I shouldn’t have to lay it flat to get maximum bass output. And the speaker needs better rubber feet on it because sometimes it will move it self. Or vibrate itself off the table. So I would recommend not placing it near the edge of a table if you don’t have to. Thank you for whoever actually takes the time to read this.
Funny everyone says it has more bass on its back. To me it sounds less bassy on its back. Perhaps a little higher/punchy bass, but standing up seems to have more rumble to me. The highs are brighter on its back for sure, which I like. I can also hear more background notes on its back. Upright seems more compressed. Also on its back seems to be an easier and more stable position. Plus better off axis sound.
Thanks bud. I don’t know what song was playing in this video. But I believe I my sister out the name of the song on somewhere on the screen normally in the start of each round 👍🏾
You’re such a cool and honest reviewer yes! I’m about to check out your channel I hope you’re making more videos! I just bought the Flex and fell in love with it. It’s better than my JBL Xtreme or Bose Revolve + or Minirig Mini, Bose Micro, UE Boom or Fugoo XL. It’s coming up on perfect for me.
@@WannaBuyIt muchas gracias por tu respuesta. Tengo el Bosé Flex y quiero comprar el Jbl Flip 6 para compararlos pero veo que el Bosé es mejor. Saludos desde Colombia 🇨🇴
That is where I started my search for the best portable speaker from me. The JBL Clip 4 and Sony 13. Then I liked UE Wonderboom 3 a lot but since I have researched on all great portable speakers, Bose Soundlink Flex is the ultimate winner for me. There is no doubt. I am going to buy one.
Yes we do all the videos on max. We tried doing Half volume one songs before and we didn’t like the out come so we cut it out the video. But all speakers on max in the videos
You have to use it. You cannot disable it. Some Sonos speakers have a similar feature to position IQ but with Sonos you can enable or disable the automatic tuning feature. Bose has speakers with good sound quality in my opinion but they lack the in-app features and they don’t support high resolution audio. Will that change in the near future? Or will bose go under and go out of business due to not modernizing? What do you guys think?
Bruh put the flip 6 in low frequency how to do it you Press and hold the Volume down and bluetooth bunton at the same time for 10 seconds until the ring lights up AND THEN THE JBL WILL WIN BY A LOT TRUST ME!

wait that hold power button for 3 seconds thing? If so the speaker over sounds horrible with that mode I think. But they got the EQ in the app now to boost it more naturally and boost the highs so it doesn’t get all drowned out by the bass boost
So many questions.. Why the mask? Why won’t you call them by their brand instead of “speaker 1 and speaker 2” where you also had it mixed up a number of time. And are you still a Raiders fan 😂
Hahaha I wear the mask so I don’t see what is playing. The flex is absolutely amazing. It is for people who like pure sound not just LOUDNESS
Like Bose, more control on all frequency, more pleasant hear for long periode, jbl great for more louder, but too harsh for me 😁
Yeah the F6 gets hard I didn’t think so but it does. Good thing they have EQ now

Bose sounds better when it lays horizontally on the surface. In that position there’s more treble so it’s a bit clearer and louder.

I have both and love em both. Get em both!! But if i had to only pick 1 im going with the flex! The sound is just a bit better.
Bose flex will win. Best choice. If u want louder sound and jbl for outside use the 310 😉

Yea I liked the sound of the Bose on this one. Surprised me not going to like thought I would like the Flip

More trebles and mids, more precision and volume for the flip 6!
The bose has a very average sound and a big lack of power vs the jbl (30 w).
