Interestingly, we all, the humanity or any life form never could see the past, and only for the last of 80 years as cinema industry and as society as individuals for the last 30 years we can actually watch videos as real memories over and over, this is truly unreal, but seems like we're programmed to be bored so fast that we take all new amazing stuff for granted, it might be a good thing, because it is what makes the civilizations and inventions appear, basically feeling that something is boring makes new exciting stuff, but for a moment I wanted to stop that circle and appreciate the invention of cinema, video, it is amazing, we can record ourselves, we're truly cool as species in that particular topic

She's the weakest part of this film, I just can't get his interest he has in her. i didn't want to think too much into this movie but it conveys an ugly message that the guy has to go through so much crap and preparation to attract an AVERAGE looking woman of his dreams ?
not talking about the hot blonde in the diner but the main female character i disliked this immensely

You've merely noticed collective zeitgeist of the time... and for as long before that as anyone can tell.
Women have always been selective and men kind of embraced that and the notion of working and trying over and over to turn her "no" into a "yes" was seen as romantic.
But that was when women were feminine. It was nearing the end of women being feminine amd the beginning of them all behaving like men and being masculine but it was still in that particular zone back in the 80s. Into the 90s too.
It wasn't till the 00's and the invent of social media that the female hivemind behind eating itself in a narcissistic ego explosion of repulsive degenerate confrontational petulance!

She got into acting from modeling, but ok she's average. I always want to see these guys wives/girlfriends when I see comments like this.

@@fredrezfield1629 I've seen the movie. My only point is she's not average looking.
I will agree he had to work way too hard, but it's a movie. Normally the less you try the more they're interested and vice versa

I will never understand how this movie was so popular.
Andie McDowell is the most irritating and wooden actress.
Bill Murray keeps on playing the cynical grumpy old man.
