Something that gets me is Ned, the guy selling life insurance, says “you’re sharp as a tack ‘today’”. Maybe it’s a stretch, but it feels like Ned KNOWS about how he’s stuck in a loop
@@D.E._Sarcarean strange theory, and the devil must be bored if he repeated his part that many times. Phil didn't really start being mean to him until after the first few times, too.
5:28 Well it’s Groundhog Day again and that must mean we’re up here at Gobbler’s Knob waiting for the forecast from the world’s most famous groundhog weatherman Punxsutawney Phil who is just about to tell us how much more winter we can expect.
This is one movie that forces you to put yourself in the shoes of the main character and figure out how you would try to get anyone to believe your story about what's happening to you
We tried to figure out how many days, years he spent in the loop. There are several debates but...given the complexity of ice sculpting, classical piano, learning French poetry...the dining room scene ... a year before he nails the French poem and makes her wet. The sheer complexity...piano...just to learn left and right hand control from where he starts would take several months and that's practicing hours daily. Seeing that he only has the one day and is learning ice sculpting as well as French poetry and still attending the evening festivities. LMAO.
@sevendaughters It was all a dream, I used to read "Word Up!" Magazine, Salt N Pepper and Heavy D up in the limousine. Painting pictures on my walls, every Saturday "Rap Attack", Mr. Magic Mally Mall.
I noticed when he went out the door on the inside of the B&B Murray had no gloves on but once through the door and outside, he had on gloves. A continuity issues I believe.
This movie means everyone has SAME life from birth to death on the earth, depends on your life attitude ,depends on your eye to look at your life⋯⋯hard working people always got more rich chances
This film was preserved for a reason. It’s in the top ten best films of the 20th century.
The guy who invented this plot was a genius!
it was the guy who played egon on ghost busters.
Agree!
No the late Harold Ramis was the director. The story was written by Danny Rubin. @@aarongraddy4862
Rest in Peace, guy who played Egon in "Ghostbusters" and wrote the plot for "Groundhog Day"... whoever you are.
Reliving the same day or event over and over has been done before it but the concept around Groundhog Day is brilliant. 😅

There is an internet theory that Ned is actually the devil and he's the one that put Phil in the time loop.
@@D.E._Sarcarean so he got out of the loop by buying insurance from Ned, not from his good deeds and personal growth.

16 more days, then change, one way or another. I have vowed it.

He stayed for about 10,957 nights and got billed for one night. Sweet deal! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Highly recommended!
Y'know if were living the same day again over and over again I would have lost my mind
Gobblers Knob 😂
Knob Gobblers
The mayor is actually Bill Murray’s brother in real life
The voice on the radio too. Along with Harold Ramis.
Boy. If the name of that place to meet at, on Groundhog’s Day was reversed.

Do you ever have dejavu?
I don't think so, but let me check the kitchen
I'd say, chance of departure is 80%... 75-80.
Question for everyone if were stuck in one day forever what would you do?
Keep struggling and fighting till you move forward
Same thing we do every day, Pinky. Try to take over the world
Yep, that about sums it up for me.
Depends on the day
Whatever the Hell I wanted 🤣🤪
