New Ball Joint from 1AAuto.com 1aau.to/ib/1ASB...
Modern suspensions combine a number of moving parts for safe and stable handling. The ball joint is the crucial moving component that ties those parts together. The ball-in-socket joint can wear out and loosen over time. Or, the rubber protective boot can tear, allowing contaminants to seize the joint. Bad ball joints are a common failure point on vehicle inspections because they lead to unsafe driving conditions. Fortunately, they are relatively easy to replace with the right know-how. This video shows you how to install new, quality TRQ ball joints on your 1992-2000 Chevy Tahoe.

How about tools used, specifically the sizes?
99 percent of viewers don’t have a lift
That was excellent!!! One of the best I've ever seen. Wish you were in Chicago
That's what I was doing wrong! My bonks we're not loving enough.
Working on vehicles is a joy…when you have all the right tools 😂
This dude removed then installed a lower ball joint in what, 5 min? Took me 2 f***ing hours!!!!
I have to say that your videos are among the most professional videos made on auto repairs as a shade tree mechanic if there’s something I’m unclear on your channel is my go to channel thanks for sharing.
Been waiting on this vid
Take notes guys 32 bonks by my count
Great video I didn't leave the nuts on and dropped the spindle on my pinky now it's swollen 😢
And there you have it my friends… Easy Peezy…!
Be careful there's three different ball joint for the lower.. I bought the 46 mm or whatever and the 47 and broke both of them and found out I have a Tahoe which is stamped so that means I need the smallest one that's like 45.. can't believe I broke two of them anyway on the way to AutoZone 🤬
Best mechanics on youtube
Gotta look and see if my 97 Silverado has the pressed in ball joint or the bolt on type.
I like it when he tells you all the nut and bolt sizes, so you know what you need if you have a limited tool set. In the GMC Lower Ball Joint video he does that. Telling us the recommended torque settings is awesome too!
Everything went easy except the lower ball joint. Solution was the old hot wrench. Heated it up for a couple of minutes. The sledgehammer took it out on the first hit. 😊😊
When bonking alone doesn't work, hit it with a torch for a few minutes, then commence loving bonks
What do if my Tahoe doesn't have GMC lug nut covers? :P
thank for that video :)
The one I'm working on, the whole ball joint fell out when I was hitting the lower knuckle, so the nut didn't catch it. But that worked out in my favor for once.
Torqued 👍🏼
damn yall put this out just in time lmfao thanks for the vid!
I mean mine just poped out after 4 months of use idk 🤷♂️ I know it was not my error I installed them with a ball joint press
Lol,,, give the ball joint a couple of Loving Bonks with the hammer
How long did all this work take?
a couple loving bonks😂 this video is literally the best
What size lower ball joint did you use?
Anyone else had missing abs wires 😂😂😂
Very thorough and informative. Thank you.
What size nut for that upper ball joint?
wow, i was impressed you are very good.
The video says for a tahoe but the link is for a jeep🙄
Thanks, we have corrected it!
@@TRQ the balljoint in the video is not the same balljoint on the link😁1 is pressed on and the other one is bolted on. Do you know the diameter on the balljoint installed? There is 2 diffrent diameters for them

Yeppers, there are two different lower control arms. He covers the other type in a GMC video.
YOU MAKE IT LOOK 👀 SOO EASY THANKS MUCH
Outstanding!
