Dee Jay Try using a different curling creme and see if you have the same issue? It’s hard for me to tell you exactly what’s the issue without being able to see your curly method/technique. Low porosity shampoo you have more room for error so almost any shampoo and your conditioner and leave in won’t be super effective for low porosity hair but deep codntioner is you main focus

If you have low porosity it could cause issues because of product buildup. Conditioner can't get it all off. Hair growth depends on your genetics. Hair grows 1/2 inch a month on average. Some people get more or less. I'm not sure how long your hair was 9 months ago.
