Yes bodyroll is less in sedans .... but urban compact suvs like creta , seltos , kushaq , taigun etc have negligible body roll and great handling

Creta,seltos ,kushaq are no way near verna, slavia,city type confidence at higher speeds.i have driven all of them they fell like driving a huge car.they are not nimble like sedan you are giving wrong information

Creta has significant body roll , I have 2021 model so can say about that. Don't know about 1st gen creta, maybe they have less body roll because I found them to be sturdier and heavier than new models . Haven't driven the new one though...

We have 90% good roads in Assam. It's 2024.. the ground clearance of hatchbacks is lower than sedans. Ek jamane mei jab highways ka roads bhi kharab the tab bhi log Alto , maruti 800 chalate the.. 😅

My first car was honda city with great mileage around 26kmpl but the only drawback was worst roads and potholes and bumps, literally every 3 4 months my driver or mechanic had to fix lower cover, so shifted to creta-nexon ev but none could provide rear seat comfort as much as honda city, harsh reality is people buy suvs not due to showoff but due to bad roads as no one can question govt about road quality.

SUV has only one advantage ie HIGHER GROUND CLEARANCE .
Sedan has the biggest advantage that its safer because of better balance due to LOW GROUND CLERANCE.
SUV may over turn and lost balance at high angle turns at high speed where as sedan can perform much better.
SUV perform better for off road driving. But Sedan is meant for city and highway driving.
All SUV's rear row seats are not comfurtable enough in case of LONG DRAWING..3-5 hours non stop driving.. But Sedan rear are all time more comfurtable for rear sitting passengers.
Most of the SUVs in India are Chutiya Making Gimmick.. None of them are SUV unless they have 4 Wheel drive train.
At present up to Rs 20 lakhs all SUVs are either FWD or RWD. They not SUVs.
In this price range only Force Gurkha and Mahindra Thar are 4WD and real SUVs but compact SUVs. Rest all SUVs up to Rs 20lakh are Chutiya Making machines in the name of SUV . They are by the roguesbOf the Chutiyas for the Chutiyas.

I think you didn’t mentioned sitting comfort in sedan. It’s way much better compared to SUV.
Sedans are easy manoeuvrable and joy of riding sedan at higher speed is all great fun.
The biggest hurdle for Sedan in India is huge size speed breakers. I think in India we don’t know how to make speed breakers. Those speed breakers are so huge that sedan lower body touch while going through speed breakers.
What about the better visibilty in SUV As compared to Sedan.
I have driven VERNA and creta and visibility in creta is far more better than verna, specially the side and blind views

SEDANS unfortunately NOT doing good enough in sellings.
INDIA a land of " SPEED - BREAKERS " ( Sizes varies... Some legal... Some illegally made ).
Most important or Main problem/Disadvantage of SEDANS is Ground -clearance.
Whereas SUV having No problem with that.
Sir you gave 1 common reason for sales of SUV that is ground clearance.
But the second one about the speed breakers is a genuine point. There should be a standard size of speed breakers. Not because it will promote sales of sedan but because it will allow people to know what would be the size of the speed breaker ahead.
Some of the points you mentioned are worth considering, such as mileage, aerodynamics, fuel efficiciency, and affordability, but other points such as sexiness and safety are questionable. SUV is a different class which comes with added benefits, all are not mentioned in the video. Thank you for your comparison.

Illegally and abnormal speed breakers are reason for high ground clearance preference, you cant deny reality of roads no matter how much better we build , they always make these speed breakers which are accident prone and not good for vehicles 😊
Recently I have used top model of Innova Hycoss & also using Hyundai Verna.Body roll is more in Hycross .

I have an SX4 (yes, I still love it) and I think it has best of both worlds, sedan with high ground clearance to tackle bad roads & ample power.

Sir checkout Virtus or Slavia for that... It has better ground clearance.
But the feeling of sitting high on a Scorpio can't be replaced by any sedan.
One Free Advice: If you are spending 20 lakhs, go with what your heart says. We can adjust with anything once we start liking the product. SUV vs Sedan is a different matter altogether. What matters is what you feel. Hope this helps. If it doesn't, do ask anything you want to. 🙏

Very good video highlighting sedan benefits but sedan is now history due to following reasons 1. On road you will have more speed breakers and driving sedan on such road more probability touching propeller shaft on breaker 2. If you travel long distance apps 100km with sedan, I observed knee pain as legs are inclined 3. In sedan you can’t see your bumper less visibility. That’s why now Honda and Hyundai struggling to sale city/ Verna. 4. Less resale value of Sedan. Hence better to move to SUV.🎉
These days the mini SUV's are being purchased which overcomes the limitations of Sedans stated by you. I find XUV 300 an excellent alternative to mid sized Sedans. Also the new Bolero Neo will more than match the requirements with punchy engine , good torque & milege and go anywhere attributes .

I don't think there's any logic or benefit of bonnet/bumper being visible to the driver.

Yes approach and departure angles do matter a lot which is poor in sedans and that is why sedans are not good for off-roading.
Sedan vs Actual SUV. Then go for an SUV if budget and features are same.
Sedan vs Faltu SUVs. Then go for Sedan
Sir one more thing, ciaz automatic with 4 speed torque converter and mild hybrid is value for money. I drove twice on hills(each time distance was 300metres up) and then 12 km in traffic(Mumbai traffic). MID showed 14.9kmpl on showroom td car after reset before TD.
Even if MID was 2kmpl off...jyada se jyada 12.9kmpl for a 1500cc engine with ac and 4 people on gradient and traffic is pretty good.
Plus maruti after sales is best in my humble opinion. I have TATA and hyundai too. I'm not a hater of any company. But IN sedan if you look at value for money in premium segment with decent safety( best reliability, one of best after sales support even in ladakh , engine refinement and 4 cylinder.) Then ciaz is best in this price.
Or if you want enhanced safety and questionable reliability and questionable after sales(on team bhp many complaints of breakdown of new virtus and bad rsa where it takes 2 to 3 days for them to come and take your car after just taking delivery 3 hours before . This was in Indore. MP) , then VAG group is your choice with virtus or slavia. Verna I have no comments as looks in front is weird.(subjective).
Also ciaz is most aerodynamic in suzuki stable as of now.
@krisindia sir I am not a hater either. I admire every brand because every car is manufactured considering different types of customers. Not only cars but every product in the world has a different customer base.
Maruti is a great brand. And their refinement, after sales and mileage is unquestionable.
But I would like to add Honda City along with Ciaz as City is also a wonderful car.
@@autoinfotech yes city is a good car. But I feel honda as a company treats India as a step motherly treatment. Following reasons.
1 their amaze 2023 is outdated. No cruise control also in the top line cvt version. If I compare this with my very first car a 2006 year 1.3 swift petrol zxi...the only difference is led headlights, transmission and a slightly longer car. I get the same features like the amaze auto ac, abs, air bags, ebd and driver side auto window up . Infact gen 1 swift has way better build quality then most cars leaving tata now. It weighs 1045 kgs . Also the swift then came with rally tuned suspension at that time in 2006. So I'm paying 11.67 lacs otr mumbai for cvt vx amaze variant. Didn't find this worth.
2 also I went to check if I can purchase the headlight of the amaze (if tomorrow I have a accident) . I was shocked to find that in one of the biggest honda SC in Mumbai... they said it will take "12" working days to get the part. Now this is for a car which is selling daily and not discontinued like WRV. Again, for my oldest car the swift ...I have never had to wait more than 2 days for a part for a 2006 car.
Also honda said they will charge gst and labor for fitting even if I don't fit the part in their workshop.
This is not fair to customers. I even told them about the RIGHT TO REPAIR act.
I then complained to their sales head this ...they were ready to give me on email that I can buy any part and not pay labor and fitting charges, but why this process?? They should make ownership customer friendly. Also right to repair act is govt of India and not mine.
I was concerned about this as I'm someone who travels solo and carries basic spares of my vehicles with me. So tomorrow if I'm charged for spares like alternator and fan belt and others for labor and gst when I'm just keeping it in the dicky it isn't fair.
Tata hyundai suzuki are customer friendly in this aspect.
Also honda needs to realise
1 this is India not Japan. What works there won't work here.
2 update their cars. Even their infotainment system the digipad is useless. Slow, gets blinded in sunlight and lags a lot. The after market one I have in my swift is much better than the honda. I'm angry because this is HONDA and not expected from a reputed company. If this was a unknown brand I can understand.
The city and amaze sales numbers on MOM basis doesn't even equal sale of I20 cars . Forget about other cars in hyundai.
City is a lovely product. But their service should be more customer friendly.

SUVs are the choice because of pathetic roads in India. I felt pain driving my City hitting its bottom in the potholes and over mindless speedbreakers.. if we continue with such bad roads, even SUVs will soon go into history and probably people will be buying tractors and mini trucks..

I also live in Pune but immediately regret driving sedans just and just because of the horrible Roads, having a field job I have to travel across the city. The horrible road conditions are forcing people to go for higher ground clearance cars. Sedans underbody touches ground in Pune roads.

Sure sir... But hatchbacks are usually up to 4 metres whereas SUVs go beyond 5 mtrs. It will be a bit tough but I will give it a try very soon.

This seems to be a very confused video...with no real logical reasons.... except for the lower drag of sedans that may offer a slightly better mileage of a SUV body style with same engine specs.
This is basically a personal choice and should be left to the buyer.
Sir to begin with, in this video I never said that one should buy a sedan only. It is still a choice of the buyer to buy whatever car he/she wants as it's their hard earned money.
In addition to that many people agree with what has been said in the video. I think if you don't find any logic somewhere does not mean it doesn't have logic. It is just that your intellect is above the examples given in the video or you expected something else.

Everything with Sedan is good except its versatility. On other hand even a psudo suv are more versatile. Thats why people prefer them.

जहां तक बात है भारत मे सड़कों की वो पिछले 20 साल में काफी बेहतर हुई हैं। 20 साल पहले SUV कितने लोग चलाते थे आप भी जानते हैं और मैं भी।
20-25 साल पहले जो कार्स भारत मे चलती थी उनमें से कुछ नाम हैं मारुति 800, देवू सिलो, हौंडा सिटी, मारुति एस्टीम, फ़िएट पद्मिनी, एम्बेसडर इत्यादि। इनमे से कोई भी SUV नही थी फिर भी बढ़िया चलती थी। अब आप इसमें अपवादों की बात न करना। ये उस समय की बात है जब भारत मे एक्सप्रेसवे तो थे ही नहीं। और हाइवेज और लोकल सड़क की हालत बहुत खराब हुआ करती थी।
बाकि आपकी उम्मीदों पर खरा नही उतर पाया ये मेरे लिए दुखद है।
बेहतर वीडियोस बनाने की कोशिश करूंगा।
I own a sedan,but will shift to an SUV because of two things, better ground clearance, and easier ingress egress for my parents who are now getting old. They find it easier to get into the low seating of the sedan

Slavia and Virtus have excellent 179 mm ground clearance. More than this will disturb the dynamics of a sedan.
But yes they can go up to 180 mm which is easily manageable
Entry/exit in SUV is very easy n conformable which is not possible in sedan
