love this run, feels like you're really using everything the weapon has to offer to get the maximum potential out if it.
longsword is so weak now
if they keep the same motion value from hb it will be good
actually his not, his using specific moves to maximize damage and the dodge system, before you will actually use every move not specific moves again and again
I love the final bosses unique armor skill its so fun especially when you mix it with malzeno to heal the damage it does to you. Makes you feel like you're using safi'jiiva stuff in iceborn

Pyre Rakna Kadaki is honestly one of the best subspecies monsters, it would be amazing if Rakna Kadaki gets a rare species too.
Usually rare species are reserved for flagship monsters with the only exception being gold rathian

Hey I have a question, do you think any insect glaive is capable of speed running a monster hunt in a similar time compared to weapons like Long Sword?

I have a question Peppo, for elemental Longsword how good is the SakuraSlash sacred sheath focused playstyle over the swap to Iai spirit slash?
It depends on how good you are the SakuraSlash is ment for fast pace and does not need much timing but does still a good amount of dmg. For me a good mix of both is perfect
Silkbind Sakura Slash is quite good in Sunbreak, however it's cooldown is extremely long so you will have a lot of downtime in between bursts. It synergizes well with Sacred Sheath but that move is really hard to pull off consistently against a monster that isn't downed, and it HAS to hit the weak zones to deal good damage. So chances are it won't be the main dps combo
Using only 1 or the other is nerfing yourself. Some weapons can use switch skill swap just for a guard or dodge and do great damage with only 1 set of switch skills, but for Longsword with a lot of the sunbreak adjustments to damage and wirebug cooldown, you're best off using both sets of switch skills depending on the state of your spirit gauge and the monster.
That combo has better dmg over time for normal play and is easier, even if you whiff the Sakura the new sheath has a super easy gaurdpoint into roundslash to get the level back. Sakura has similar damage to helm now but helm is easier to hit on the parts with better mods than Sakura or the charge lvl 3.
If you’re speed running then the old load out with harvest moon CAN get more damage with the spam counter and reliable short window helmsplitter hit. Old sheath is good for learning the new move sets too. I’ve seen several runs where the swap scrolls to do charge 3 on downs however.
New load out has better dot for most people, with Sakura slash only being 4 seconds slower than helm and the big charge slash doing boatloads of damage on the head, very underwhelming however if it doesn’t hit the head but still rivals the old load out post nerfs and the new sheath is super easy to play. I’m seeing a lot of wire bug whisperer lvl 3 on long sword sets that people are making now
Absolute masterclass. Amazing use of the emergency fade slash thing. Can't believe you got the timings etc on those. Sucks that the hit boxes are so precise that so many of the well-timed counters didn't register.

Even though the Special Sheathe and Soaring Kick is what you will be using most of the time, the Sacred Sheathe attack is so satisfying.

Is it even possible to get a talisman with quick sheath 3, wirebug 3, and maximum might, master's touch, water attack 1 and of course with 3 slots of caliber 3, 2 and 1 to put the three last jewel I named.
I'm pretty sure the talisman was generated with a mod (and I don't care) what I wonder is if such talisman is even obtainable when you take into account the rules of talisman genration coded within the game (for example you can't have 3 slots of caliber 3, 2, 1 or more if already have handicraft level 2.)

Quick question about the giasmagorm armor skill; I understand that using switch skill swap when you have 2 butterflies around you heals you, but what's the condition to get the second one to show up?

I ended up seeing a comprehensive guide and yeah, you're just supposed to wait 50 seconds for a second butterfly plus another 50 seconds for a 3rd butterfly. The more butterflies you have the higher the stat increase you get from each scroll so some play styles may not even involve switch skill swapping.

Very impressive run, as expected of tds. Also befitting of the talisman. Even if I had the chance to get that, i wont be able to play as good as you guys.
They mod those talisman in the PC version so don't feel so bad of getting it.

Can you guys do a showcase of the Insect Glaive Poweder Vortex please? I'd love to learn good methods for applying powder both solo and on a team of other powder vortex users, having just unlocked the Kinsects for it I'm finding it difficult to apply efficiently.

Is it worth trying to build elemental longsword as you're progressing through the story? Or is it better to just stick with raw until you unlock all the armors and gems?
I play elemental SnS throughout Sunbreak with the best builds I had from the base game. Upgrades come quickly and there was never a single hunt I had to use my physical build. Results may differ slightly for longsword, but should be fine.

I'm not peppo but he's shortening the final attack animation by going into special sheath.

Need some help here please. No amount of research has led to an answer. How are people chaining special sheath into lai sprit slash then right back into special sheath. I always have to put an attack before it to get it to activate. How do you chain them back to back like that? Example at about 25 seconds in.
You have to successfully counter an attack to special sheath again from iss. If you miss, it’s better to sheath the weapon after iss to reposition yourself.
@@tringuyenminh3836 thanks for the tip. I'll do some more tests but I swear even on a successful counter I havnt been able to chain them like that. I feel like in missing a step or is there a timing window involved to do it back to back?
@@Soulshiffter316 my recommendation is rather than doing both buttons at the same time to do a Special Sheathe, hold the button you used to perform an ISS and then press your dodge button. Like, say I was using a PS controller, rather than doing R2 + X, I'd simply press R2 to perform the ISS and hold it before pressing X to do the Special Sheathe.

@@pponppon86 looking at the intro trailer this move is not supposed to move you forward tho, unless maybe holding forward does that. Or this is an entirely different move but I don't recall any behaves like that
@@desmondlau1385 Rakna Kadaki's hitbox pushed Peppo foward when he used sacred sheathe. It's a minor glitch

on one sight I hate LS since world because from a cool pure going full DPS with your few moves it became a full counterattack weapon that has nothing to do with the actuall LS and on the other side its so cool and flashy to see, I just wish we would get back old LS and make new LS a different weapon

Yes LS got a big nerf it's main counter does half of its original damage and helm breaker does 2/3rd of its original damage as well

For every run you see where the monster is demolished you don't see the countless runs where things don't go as planned.
@@Wespa64 i can just imagine. they're pro's with 1000's of hours in the games, i think only new monsters can maybe make it difficult for them, but even i have no problem with many monsters that are new, and i have like what, 200 hours total in mhw and mhr. so they probably obliterate every monster they come across. also this wasn't criticism, but a genuine question.
@@horizonbumpy2828 well the difficulty shifts in meaning when you attempt to speedrun something. Its less about 1v1 the monster but more about 1v1 the other guy that tries to be faster than you, or in some cases just the thrill of fully mastering something to perfection.
So in a sense while you lose the "fun" in one aspect you gain it back in another way. Question is if that exchange is beneficial for you and most likely for speedrunners it is, otherwise they wouldnt do it.

As for your question, yes the game has became so repetitive I dropped the game entirely, can't finished the base game and I don't feel like buying sunbreak either. LS has gone from OP to being literally no brainer, and even worse in the dlc. Pretty sickening tbh, at least for me

I'm like 1.5h to maybe 2h in, and haven't seen a single new monsters. Just loads of cringy dialogue, reskins and one old monster returning. Pacing on this dlc truly sucks, can't even bring myself to boot it up again.
