I've been trying to solo all of world and iceborne for a while now, and was fine until fatalis, who I cannot for the life of me beat, and I actually felt kind of proud of myself. Seeing this made me realize that I am not, in fact good, but slightly above average. This is absolutely insane
A ton of speedrunners aren't actually good when things go off script. This is hours of preparation and planning not pure skill and it only shows the successful attempt. Never be discouraged by it. I am more impressed by people beating Fatalis without a perfectly optimised build and knowing exactly where to stand during what time.
I can solo fatalis. I just can't break it's head. Maybe if I tried some cheese build for it. But I hate that I can't just carve the eye after it's dead. Such dumb design.

The way Fatalis kept backing into the corner after it lost sight of you was genius but seeing you grab and hold on to the One-Shot Binder and ready yourself in position of the Ballista across the map and prepare Sleep coatings, I realized where this was going and to see the execution so flawlessly handled, I don't know where to begin or end on the level of praise this deserves.
The dragon outside is frightful, its fire sure ain't delightful, but Team Darkside always knows the place to go. An excellent run and a great Christmas :)

Dude, I swear these guys make the game’s hardest monsters look easy. I haven’t even reached fatalis yet and they make him look as easy as a Jagras even though I know I probably won’t beat him until the day before Wild’s releases
TL;DR: study the fight and do alot of preparation. He’s not as hard as he looks you just need to properly prepare.bring lifepowders, max potions etc and bring the materials to craft more of them and assign the craft all option onto your radial menu for quick easy access in a pinch, make sure you’ve got the temporal and fireproof mantles. Or whatever gear you’re comfortable with that offers you benefit in the fight. Study his moves in videos and so you know when to you have openings to hit his head so you can break it, make sure to use all the equipment around the fort, one shot binders, cannons, the ballista(aim for his chest). Figure out which skills would be helpful for you and your weapon, don’t go straight DPS skills. Have some comfort like I use evade extender to dodge easier, wide range, recovery up and speed eating so I can heal very quickly and keep both myself and my teammates from dying so they are not as much of a risk to me. Get something like the alatreon armor and FULLY upgrade it so you have as much defense in your armor as possible with lot’s of slots for decos. Maybe do raging brachydios for one of his weapons since alot of them tend to be the next best thing to fatalis weapons in terms of raw and good slots.
Absolutely amazing. I'm experiencing a monster hunter renaissance, and I'm glad this channel has stuck around. I dumped 56 hrs into MHR and Sunbreak with my friend in the last week and a half

Thanks for the tip :) Right now we have no plans to do more since they're difficult to do for us since most of our expertise lies in speedrunning, not in lore. but they could come back at some point in the future once we find someone who is very experienced with lore who wants to work with us
I feel like just the transition between phases would make this challenge impossible, but it’s TDS so I don’t doubt them Edit: that was a smooth finish with the Dragonator, this might be the most impressive thing I’ve seen
I'm playing Rise rn but out of curiosity installed World again just to see if there were still people playing and I was gladly surprised by all the full lobbies I saw again, it's great that a lot of people are playing this again
I'm curious what was the point of switching to the coalescence set? is fatalis weak to ice in his amped state? or where you just demonstrating different strats? also why the temporal mantle was that just as a safety net?
Just got back to MHWI this week from MHRS, I am still refreshing everything. Watching this video helps a lot. 😊 I just remember some old strategies. 😁 We used to do paralysis on the 2nd phase and sleep on the last phase. Thanks for uploading this. 🙂👍

Fatalis is just a Jagras with Wings, 10000% more dmg, 37521% more fire and some weird long neck
