    I like each update, and how the progress just keeps getting better, and the property is coming together. I am however, so sorry for the lack of care, from the walk-in closet completion. Since it is Holy Week, I am thinking you won’t see the workers there until Monday, or Tuesday next week😮

    • @buildingthephilippines
      @buildingthephilippines  Год назад +1

      Yes, it's holly week so we are giving them a pass. 4 day weekend. If they don't show Monday, then that's another story. In a couple of weeks the projects should be completed and will be in solid planting mode. That's when the property will really start looking nice with all that color.

    I love the blue color of the pool! Its great that you can keep Jermel busy with work projects and I’m sure he is happy to be employed there! Seems like he and his family are getting to be like your adopted family there! Also I have a suggestion for you…. Maybe a stainless steel railing down the center line of the pool steps. Just thinking safety for you both and your guests. But it’s up to you! 😮 I continue to look forward to all your videos of you and Wilma’s beautiful home! ❤

    Greg you might want to consider your direction of travel on the man gate. Opening outward would insure that the bottom of the man gate will not scrape on the slope of the driveway. If it opens inward depending on the distance between the bottom and the step incline of the driveway you might not be able to get fully open without the bottom scraping on the driveway.
    Just and observation because you comment on all your guest mentioning how steep the drive incline is in person.
    I going to be curious how your rail and slide system is going to work. Nosey because I’ll need to do something similar except my driveway will decline rather than incline.
    Love the videos and your sharing your build. So helpful

    A French Drain, elevated downward from left to right towards the driveway is now what is needed in front of your gates retaining wall. That way all water is diverted to the driveway opening and nothing is passing through the retaining wall, the gate, its track, and that portion of the perimeter wall.

    Good Morning Greg,
    Congratulations on your new beautiful house! We been watching your videos. We are in the Philippines nowsomewherere on Mindanao. We are in the process of building our house here, could you recommend a good certain kind of hollow block to use? Thanks and have a great day!

    • @buildingthephilippines
      @buildingthephilippines  Год назад +1

      Hi Paul, really need to visit the site that makes the hollow blocks. It's all about the ratio of cement to sand. Once dried if you can grab it with your bare hands and crumble it they are poor quality. Good luck with your build, very exciting.

    • @paulperkins6237
