Hi Guys, great to see you were able to double your water storage capacity. I just had an issue this week where we lost water pressure. I didn’t have time to troubleshoot so I just went and bought another pump. We used an Italian brand 1 hp from Wilcon. I paid around 5,000 peso last year and now (no stock 1 hp) but the 3/4 hp was 8k!!! I just bought a no name Chinese brand ( 4k ) to quickly get the problem resolved. If you were to direct rainwater into the storage tank(s), would it be potable with filtering/treatment, or only suitable for showers/toilets/washing/pool water? The same question applies to your friends' cistern in their recent build update video.

Hi Greg, Great video. I'm looking to do similar in Isabela, where we are moving from deep well to municipal water. Currently we have a 2HP deep well submersible to a 2000ltr holding tank. The house supply water Pipe goes through 3 large filters, then through a Grundfos Scala2 pressure pump (this automatically adjusts the pressure dependent on the number of taps turned on) feeding the house. I'm no plumber, and more than happy to be corrected, but it looks from the video that the outlet pipe to the house is nearly at the bottom of the tank. Should it not be 3-4 inches up? Won't you be sucking up any silt that accumulates in the tank bottom? Regardless, great video and will certainly buy my own heat pipe tool if they are that reasonable.

RUclips University it😂 so funny. 5k!!! Is the plumber high on something? He cost himself business. Good for you that you stand your ground. That is why I have my Filipina negotiate without me around as much as possible. I enjoy doing projects like what your doing. You could have a separate tank and use it to water your land if your willing to put pipes in the ground. That way you don't have to stand in the hot sun watering your land. You could even have it on a timer.
How will the water situation be in the future in Bacong and Dauin if hundreds of homes with swimming pools are built? especially in the lower portions. is it risky to buy a lot nowadays and build 5-10 years from now?
I have no idea. Could be an issue. I guess the closest to the source the better. The #1 issue by far is the thousands of water line leaks you see along the roads. They seem to be everywhere.
Water has been my biggest challenge in our house there. It seems like there should be plenty of water in the tropics lol. I am adding a second 1500 liter tank as well. I have a 17 stage reverse osmosis water filter to make it clean and drinkable. What a pain in the butt.
I would definitely put a valve at the tank and on the line. That way you can isolate the entire tank if lines need to be repaired or replaced. There is a slight increase in the budget but worth it in the end. Do you have rain catchment installed on your house? If not, I would recommend it. You house is already diverting the rainfall. Why not collect some of it, even if it would be for emergency use. (Edit) I noticed the orange line and heard your explanation. I have seen in another video, from another RUclipsr, how he built concrete rain catchment due to the typhoons.
