Y’all should do a video about Peyton Graham who plays SS for OU, I would love to see him on whistle for all that he has accomplished like setting the record at OU for the first person to hit 20 home run and steal 30 bases. Also he is a family friend to my family
You make a great point. Just because you are a five tool phenom like Beane doesn't mean you will have success in professional baseball. Baseball is a skill based game. You do not have to be extremely athletic to be good at it. Pete Rose for example wasn't an amazing athlete but he has the most hits ever. Baseball is also very much a metal game. You have to be resilient and mentally tough.
You guys should do a collab with Youth Prospects, and cover the podres scout team. It can be kinda like a last chance u type of mini web series ish ( I didn’t say phillies scout team cuz I know how no days off viewers don’t like to see baseball players that rely of there parents money)
if only i had parents who liked me playing baseball ._. and would spend more effort helping me get better. i mean i do drills in my yard alone like hitting off the tee and stuff like that but i just wish i could have more support. all these players on no days off have such supportive parents and its really nice to see but i just wish that was me
Regardless of your financial backing or parent support it comes down to how badly you want it. Kids in the Dominican play with cardboard gloves, bottle caps, and broom sticks. They aren’t light years ahead of your skill because of their backing, it’s because they want it. Go get it and stop looking for sympathy, cause you won’t find any.
@@rrameir baseball doesn’t just come down to how bad you want it though. If you don’t have someone teaching you proper mechanics or with an actual understanding of the game you will fall behind. You bring up the Dr as if the Dr doesn’t have 30 MLB camps where they train youth daily in hopes of reaching the US. How many year round mlb camps for youth baseball are in the US? Also I’m pretty sure you can notice how many current big leaguers had fathers who played professional baseball in some way. The blue jays have two young stars who both had parents in the MLB. You don’t need support to make it, but in baseball, it definitely helps to have a supportive parent who understands the game and let’s not act like it doesn’t.

Kids like this with all this talent need to go to the minors. Going to college they will lose out on the potential for that big contract earlier. Just look at the Judge scenario now.
Hi whistle I am 10 years old and play for the hp Americans 10u and if we can do something with y’all that would be great, because I’m not just a spoiled kid with parents money, and I’m a catcher and work hard a lot!
When the dad said it’s a team effort not just Derrick I got so mad like you aren’t the one putting in the work. Dude this kid is good but his dad is gonna be the death of all of us.
You have no idea the sacrifice the kids and parents put in to attain such elite goals. Hopefully when you grow older one day you will realize and your thought process will become more wise. Dad deserves more credit then you know, I doubt Dad wants ANY credit at all, but trust me! As a father of a child on a similar path, it takes a whole team and often a life of sacrifice to stand amongst the elite (~Jeff Kendall~ Jacob’s Dad)

true, we shouldnt even have prospects. anybody should be able to play in the MLB regardless of skill level. scouting is totally pointless
