Cape Westwind Trial/Dungeon Guide - Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn

- Well known as the first real trial in FFXIV, this guide will teach you how to pass Cape Westwind. Sometimes referred to as Cape Westwind Savage, or Cape Westwind Ultimate, this trial will test your capabilities as a player. Only those with immense mental fortitude can make it through this trial. This wall has caused many individuals to immediately cancel their subscriptions, upon realising they are unable to complete the trial.

I tried my luck today with 7 friends all level 90 bios gear and we still wiped. I will share this video with them so we can try tomorrow. Man this fight is so overturned.

My static has been wiping sub 2% the past week and finally got it down after we watched this, it really is important to have the physical range dps + healer and magical dps + healer stacks on the sides. Thanks!

Thank you for making this video. Hopefully this will convince mty static to use a bubble sort rather than a heap sort so we can actually get the clear on our next raid night. Will post a clear video when we succeed. 4% enrage so far.
I find that a lot of people in duty finder are still trying to use bogosort algorithms to clear the mechanic, those people will never clear the content!

You got everything right except for the hp remaining based instant wipe mechanic. It's actually ascending prime inverse partner order. Second highest is one, third highest is two, fifth highest is three, and seventh highest is four. The non-prime hp party members must stack with their inverse prime counterpart. This means highest must stand at 4 with 7th highest, 4th highest must stand at 3 with fifth highest, 6th highest at 2 with third highest and 8th highest at one with second highest. It can also change on the fly with regen ticks and natural recovery. Trust me, "Triple Legend btw."
Oooooh it's such an honour to meet a real triple leg-end. Thank you for correcting my foolish mistake! I am going to go on a long solo journey deep into the mountains to both repent and gain knowledge to avoid making such an embarrassing mistake again.

Why even bother trying to do it synched? Do you hate yourself? Do you not believe that your time and your life has value?
It's the thrill of the challenge. Sure we faced a lot of hardships, the static split several times, 4 members sadly lost their lives, and my marriage fell apart - but the satisfaction upon completing the trial can only be compared to seeing my son being born.
My ex-wife doesn't let me see him anymore though.

@@osaka_dreams DeltaRay forgot to mention that this is only possible when you have a group of 8 level 90 players, and you enable "Unrestricted Party" prior to queueing. Unfortunately this means that new players can no abuse this strategy which in turn makes your guide even more helpful!
@@Ygerna I remember what it was like being a new player and facing this content for the first time. It took me 4 years to get my first clear and continue with the MSQ. I wanted to make a guide to help those new players get a clear within 2 years - this guide is something I wish I had back then!
