I really liked this compilation☺ Both are so underrated vocally! Miley obviously takes the lows (even though Katy was good from G3 and above) midbelts would be a tie and high notes would be Katy since (both push their chestvoice as high as possible, however Katy has a better mix/mixes more often). If head voice was included, I would say Katy would win in this area as well.
Is it just me, or miley's getting more confident on entering the 5th octave again? In 2019 she had an emergency surgery, due to a disease on her vocal chords, making them very inflamed, and then thick cuz or the scars + the smoking haha. I know she stopped smoking and takes so much care of her voice now, she improves her technic all the time. She wouldn't dare doing more than one song with a D5 ln it, and now she is even going higher, looks liker her vocal chords are more elastic now

Miley is a better singer, but be fr, Miley is NOT healthy up to D5. Katy is a better belter than Miley, who lost support here after A4. Miley is good D3-A4 and Katy is good G#3-C5.
4:36 is a perfectly placed, effortless and balance mix. 4:56 is well placed and well engaged. What is unhealthy about these notes to you? Also please be respectful. You can't be werious! By a landslide, Miley is the better singer. All due respect to Katy and her lack of over-production during her live performances but just because you can hit a note doesn't mean you can hold it. She has terrible breath support and technique.
wrong! katy is actually better than a lot of singers when it comes to sustaining and holding notes. Moreover, her breath support is pretty good (especially in the midbelts) she consistently supports from a g3/g#3 to a b4/c5, which is pretty good.

I hope she is ,for a singer to be able to take that surgery and recover alnost reshaping her image is really inspiring
