I got a dying pilea and tried to save it. I managed to get two leafs from it. both with no stem. one of them I had to cut pretty short as some rot appeared on it. It was basically an experiment as everyone says it would not be viable. and what do you know! the short leaf actually got roots!! I got mad respect for that one

    These are so fun!
I've gotten roots from just the leaf with as little stem as possible.

i know its a old vid but is it possible to take a stem cutting down to the rizone mentioned at 8:48 ... But the leaf fell off .. so would the stem cutting of it still be able to grow roots and new leafs?

Thank you for this helpful video! After the baby pilea are planted, how long should I wait until I water it? Also, I’ve not pre-moistened the soil before. Did you mist the soil or actually pour in some water?

Generally, you should water plant immediately after you pot them... This is to make sure that the roots has contact with the soil... Or so I've heard

Would the babies grow if you cut them far away from the main rhizome/without roots on them already? My first batch I just cut about 2 inches down from where they were sprouting 😭

How about leaf propagation? Does the plant grow or there is only one leaf? Greatings from Poland

If the cutting have a little bit of the Stem it would be able to get roots and produce Baby pilea.

Somehow I got my pilea to root from the petial itself and now I don't know if it's going to produce new leaves or not

It would be more helpful to show as you are taking the cutting, or at least point out the spot that you will be cutting.
