  • Hey, sweet friend! I hope you're having a marvelous day! I'm so, so happy to share with you a breathtakingly beautiful crocheted shawl/blanket (shlanket?) pattern that is inspired by the idea of personal growth! In this video, I demonstrate how to crochet the hexagons and half hexagons and also show you how to seam them together. So grab a copy of the pattern, your yarn and hooks, and get ready to cast on with me!
    Download Tubucake at www.expressionfiberarts.com/p...
    (Did you know most of our patterns are free for a limited time? Just sign up for email updates at www.expressionfiberarts.com, and you'll get notified when the next one goes live.)
    The updated version of Tubucake is made with our Moongleam Fingering yarn, which is a dreamy, shimmering 2-ply blend of 50% Cotton and 50% Mulberry Silk that is glowing and buttery soft. Breathable and light and amazing for warmer climates, Moongleam Fingering is ideal for a variety of projects, including shawls and scarves, sweaters, blankets, home items, and more! 437 yds/400 m per skein. The updated sample was made using our Coastal Hues Moongleam Fingering Kit
    www.expressionfiberarts.com/c...
    The original version of Tubucake was made with our Sincere Sock yarn. This is a delightfully soft, sweet, and pleasant, fingering weight yarn. This 3-ply blend gets its softness from the Merino Wool and its strength from the Nylon. It is a blend of 75% Superwash Merino Wool and 25% Nylon. 437 yds per skein. Our original sample was made using our Someday Hues Sincere Sock Kit
    www.expressionfiberarts.com/c...
    Both versions used approximately 2,065 yards (1888 m) total: Color A) 412 yards (377 m), Color B) 375 yards (343 m), Color C) 362 yards (331 m), Color D) 387 yards (354 m), Color E) 312 yards (285 m), and Color F) 237 yards (217 m).

    When you double crochet into the previous double crochet, do you do it on the top of it or between the two strands of DC?

    • @ExpressionFiberArts
      @ExpressionFiberArts  Год назад

      Hi Mariana, thank you for your question. I'll do my best to help. It is on top of the previous DC. When you look at the top of your DC you see a "v", you want to catch both legs of that "v" when starting your new DC. I hope this makes sense. I'm attaching our tutorial on how to make a Double Crochet below for you as well: ruclips.net/video/1ZqMgEwvLXA/видео.html
      Enjoy! 💕

    QQ: What does this note mean in the pattern? "I like to string my end through the inside of the
    round of the Magic Ring, and then go
    backwards. It secures well and will not come
    undone." I have no trouble making or using a MR, but I don't know what it means to "string my end through the inside of the round then go backwards." Thank you.

    • @ExpressionFiberArts
      @ExpressionFiberArts  5 месяцев назад

      Hi there, thanks for your message. This technique makes sense when you're using/making a magic ring for the center. You want to secure the yarn end so that it doesn't unravels. So you would take that end and weave it into the circle in the center. That's it. I hope that makes sense. Have a nice day! 💞
