Almost a year later and still nothing to show for those that backed this project. They have an alpha for an area combat game that you can pay for. But I paid for an open world exploring game that i expected to wait about 3 years for almost 5 years later and still nothing to show.
If they ran out of money and need a publisher that's okay just say so. That's the risk of Kickstarter projects. Clear communication would just solve a lot of issues and the community would shrug it off and understand that delays happen.
TBH its ok if they want to delay the game, i just want semi regular update of what is happening. Even if they cannot mention everything it is fine but atleast say something to let us know they are still working on the game.
I wouldn't say i'm worried. If they can't find a publisher then that would be an unfortunate situation. Although I think Skymill Studios has a unique enough video game premise and prototype to convince a publisher/investor to help support their game. All they have to do now is try to create a very convincing pitch for publishers/investors? Also I feel they should drop achievements though, I don't thinks it's necessary to have compared to a solid base game.
@@qownsqud3207 It's a bit unsettling that they're not putting any effort into capitalizing on the Palworld hype. Their marketing hasn't been impressive, so it's no surprise if they end up letting this opportunity slip away.
They ran out of money for a publisher? On their Kickstarter they got funded to get the game ported to Nintendo. I assumed they covered that expense and did all the talking and had that covered in their budget.
@@BerryBandit Oh I know. I knew they were delayed due to Covid and the Alpha had a lot of bugs etc.... It's just that their Comminity posts have sounded like they're making so much progress yet we still have no idea when the *BETA will be out,* much less the completed game.

Recently they lost a dev too. It’s looking pretty grim.

$600,000 but need a publisher? Cant they just upload it to Steam themselves for just $100?
The game industry uses publishers these days to fund projects in production, and not as much for distribution.

They missed the opportunity of a lifetime. Look at palworlds success
They definitely did.
@@BerryBandit it is such a shame. Looks fun gameplay wise and with enough committment this game would have exploded

Let's be fair here, Pocket Pair is much bigger and they already have published games
Unfortunately a real Pokemon arena fighter takes a lot longer to develop than not-ARK with half-plagiarized Pokemon designs.
Thanks for discussing this. I had no clue this was happening. 😮
I wanted to inform the community. Thanks for watching.

It seems the development delays has eaten through all of their kickstarter money.
@@BerryBandit Well.... sh*t.
@@silverscorpio24 it’s been almost 4 years since the kickstarter.

@@silverscorpio24 from the latest newsletter BETA hasn't been touched from the sounds of it.
So they just abandoned this project?
@@krazyworld592 I wouldn’t say completely. Btw beta still isn’t out but they make biweekly updates that are lackluster
From the things I heard from the Steam reviews...
Yeah, it sounded pretty bad. For a Kickstarter project, no less.
No beta announcement and it’s already June 15.
look like they just scammed their sponsors
Something tells me this game might be a scam 🤔
