    I'm glad there's a mentioning of the importance of safety gear in this. Road rash does hurt a lot!

    Nice ,did you notice if the EABS worked well? I'm thinking of buying another scooter and I love the regen brake of my Apollo city pro. I know this does not have dedicated regan ,but it reads it has EABS. Very reasonable price on this scooter. cheers! thumbs up!

      Awesome question @jakeanddar, I actually didn't notice...I'll take it for a spin this week and try again and see if I can tell...it was smooth...which is a good sign :)

    Hi Tim
    Do you happen to remember what Paul was riding?
    I'm 6'5" and his handle bar was a good 4 or 5 inches taller than your scooter. Thanks

      Awesome question @LaughingRandomly, it's a bit of a mystery...but I am going to try and do a review of it in the Fall as I think he's bringing in a few and I offered to review one :)

      Paul here.
      It's a 60v 5600w 38Ah dual motor off-road beast. 11in tires. I ordered it directly from China. I believe the model name is "EKW" but I saw online that another company had named one just like it a Q12. I prefer the model without clam-shell front suspension. Straight front shocks are the way to go IMO. Have fun & stay safe. 😉

    Love the review, I was ready to pull the trigger on my first scooter (looking at eMove Cruiser V2) until I saw your review on this one. But... you are the only reviewer I can find of this, and it looks like Drivetron is a brand new company. Does anyone else have history or know about this company

    • @TimsElectric
      @TimsElectric  2 месяца назад +1

      Awesome question @Tim0gle, it does seem to be an amazing value...I've only reviewed the one scooter so far...but it was a solid unit...did you watch my review of it?

    • @Tim0gle
      @Tim0gle 2 месяца назад

      @@TimsElectric , of course - several times now. Going back in forth between this one and the less powerful eMove Cruiser V2. This one seems to have better specs, love the turn signal location, but I'm really torn on the company and whether they will be in business long, won't do me any good if I can't get parts if something goes wrong. I'm RVing through California right now and see that the two companies are really close. I'm also 6', but 275# so the weight max on both units is very appealing.

      awesome to hear! To make matters worse, I loved the EMove Cruiser for the range...the ride was ok...not in the same league as the Drivetron suspension :) that really is next level :)it's too bad you're not closer to Vancouver Island, you could have tried this one :) Sounds like a blast RVing through Cali :) :) Safe travels :) :)

    That is a solid (not-so-) little scooter. A little rough around the edges, but and perhaps a bit dated in the design, but OMG for US$1400 it's a bargain for what you get (power, big battery, full suspension, hydraulic brakes).

    Nice review Tim, yes headlight should be up higher and possibly brighter...but I do like the turn signals on the end of the handlbar. Dual charging capability--Looked like two inputs on the side of the platform...? Small correction...charging bricks are rated for Volts and amperage...the charger is a 3Amp charger (not amp-hour)...higher amperage ... more powerful charging speed... amp-hour is the term for storage of electrical power...(woof from Samson).

    Hey Tim,
    Thanks so much for the video, love all your videos and work, great info.
    I wanted to ask, as for this scooter, the drivetron, I wanted to know, do you NEED to download an app for it? Also, I'm about 15lbs. heavier than you... Should this scooter be fine with my weight?
    Also, I know what it says on the site, but I wanted to ask you, I am gonna get this for work commute... In your use of it, how long does the battery last, percentage wise, per mile?
    Sorry for so many questions, but it'll be my first 'real' scooter, and I want to make sure I get what I need.
    If it helps, I'll be traveling a total of 11 miles every day for work. If you could give me a remaining battery percentage for 11 miles (roughly) I'd be so grateful.
    When I do buy it, I'll buy it through your link. Thanks again Tim, and love and greetings from Texas. All the best sir.

      Awesome to hear from you @christopherspalding6354,I don't have it anymore so can't do any actual tests for you sadly.
      But! It has a max weight of 400lbs....so 15lbs more than me is no problem :)
      I don't remember the app...did I use it on the video? It's been a minute and I don't even remember what I had for breakfast today...wait...I do...I haven't had breakfast yet :)
      It has a big battery so I would think 11miles would be fine...dual motor....60v (which is a lot) 24AH (so with quick maths about 1440WH) plenty of range.,,,for me I would think 25 miles without issue is what I would expect. I would bring a single charger with me...and only charge with the single charger.
      Honestly for the price...this thing is amazing value :) IMHO :)
      Cheers
      Tim
      p.s. Questions are great :) :) love them :)
