Have you found a builder plate on the dump bed? Might be a Fruehaulf rock bed. Yes, the hydraulic pump could be worn out or a pressure relief opening because it is weak. Could also be the hoist cylinders are leaking internally. Are the bed hinges ok and taking grease? If they and the pins clapped out that could create a lot of friction. AL B.
It is a Heil bed I did find a tag on it, I didn't think to check the hinges, but there is a ton of things that could be causing our issue, many of which are expensive to repair.
For that passenger side mirror---- angle the piece that the mirror is on toward the front, then slide the actual mirror out a little, line it up, tighten it up--- should help.
