As a Colorado citizen, I always say that California has the best flower Colorado has the best hash. Our dab game here really is above and beyond.
Why do Americans call concentrate hash, what do you call the brown hash that’s made from kief. Do you have that there?
@@hmalik5232we call it moroccan hash, or temple balls, usually. and you pretty much cant find it anywhere anymore at this point, besides as a novelty. reason being that the quality has far surpassed “traditional” hash. contemporary hash is a better name for whats available in the US, not sure if “traditional” hash is the spot on name for moroccan hash but im sure others will chime in

Damn dude. I am in Utah, and have my medical card, and worked in the industry in colorado and I cant imagine that. I am 30 now, and was legally growing at 19 for a professional company. I thought that kind of thing ended literally a decade ago.

@@K12127 I've seen a good amount of what was being shown off in California at that time. I've smoked plenty of California flower and hash from 2005 - 2009 when I would spend my summers there. I spent much of my childhood living in Camarillo. I watched what extract artists were proud to show off in person and online out in California. The bubble hash was plenty good, but the bho wasn't it. Colorado was and I would argue still is ahead of California when it comes to bho/rosin and you don't get taxed heavy to get it either. California of course has good weed (a ton of mids too), but there's a pretentiousness surrounding California now that leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Plenty of other states make just as good or even better product on average, but without the snobbish attitude.

It truly is mind boggling the quality and cost versus the hash market in other legal states. Even the more budget friendly brands are great in CO, Lazercat is top shelf lol.

One thing I believe is that while the finest cultivators and best breeders come largely (mostly from California) the Colorado diversity is more cutting edge because they are far, far less trendy when it comes to selection.
Cali had that for so long and I still believe that the best of the best breeders and cultivators come from California. But Colorado's hash market is numeral uno and they offer better selections outside the top popular varieties in rec. Plus they are great innovators

@@codyweikel3635 never. If you think you need to pay $55/g for good live resin/rosin in CO, you are mistaken. No reason at all to pay those prices, even if you insisted on those highly marketed brands there are always sales. CO market is super competitive, at least around Denver and NoCo areas

@@jaydoncorrao9895 probably for most people but personally I like that live resin removes more plant matter as it seems to aggravate my sinuses less, and lr gives a more terpene forward flavor profile than rosin. Rosin high is better though, my daily routine is taking rosin edibles and dabbing lr, but I do dab rosin when I find something too good to pass on
i enjoy the prices in michigan. i can get hash rosin for 15 and live rosin for 25. both decent quality too

I think the downside of concentrates is that it has turned weed smokers into heroin addicts of thc. It takes away the magic and just gets you too high and that's where you're an addict, not just a smoker. Say what you will but look at people who use these concentrates daily and what happens when they don't have it. Pretty wild.

15 years ago we didn't have precise dabbing equipment or the community we have today. Metal skillets with the swinging dome, little glass "nails" or a nectar collector. It was common to hit very hot dabs.

That's wild because I would have said Maine has the best hash in the US (price and product wise), not Colorado. While California's pop up black market probably has the best non piatella hash in the world, you have to know people and be deep in the culture to get the best stuff (talking 6 star private batch shit). Maines reliability and availability of top tier hash makes it king imo. Colorado is in the top 3, for sure, but not #1. Michigan is no slouch either, but Maine/Cali/Colorado are top 3 for sure, in that order, for regular market. California/Maine/Colorado for private/black market stuff. Beyond that, fly to Spain.
