B yeah it’s quite surprising since so many people shave their legs, wax their eyebrows etc to “appear nicer” or just because it feels smooth. I don’t understand how arms are different and I agree, it’s so nice to have smooth arms!
Just to let you know, I am a grown up Mum and I watched your last vid where you shared how you shaved with coconut oil. Both myself and my teen daughter now shave with coconut oil and it makes a massive difference. My underarm hair grows ridiculously quickly, until I started using coconut oil. I maybe shave my legs every 2 to 3 weeks now and underarms max twice a week.
Kennedy, no, oil straight on your skin, I oil up before I step in the shower. Have some soap or shampoo handy so you can wash out the razor as the oil does cause the hair to get caught up between the blades and plain water won’t wash it out, you don’t need a lot but it is a handy tip. You are left feeling so soft and smooth, haven’t had a single ingrown hair either, however I do either a dry brush or wet brush session weekly.
Hey Luna, great tips! The only thing I don't really agree with is that your hair grows back thicker when you shave. Shaving cuts the hair off at the skin and doesn't affect the hair follicle so the hair doesn't grow back any differently. The reason the hair seems "thicker" is because when you shave it creates a blunt tip on the hair rather than its natural tapered shape that makes it seem thinner. Just thought I should put this out there for any younger girls who may not have started shaving yet to let them know that shaving doesn't permanently make your body hair thicker. Since body hair has a much faster turnover rate than the hair on your head, within a few weeks of not shaving your body hair will be back to its natural tapered "thinner" state.
Sierra Leanne So I am a teen and I recently started shaving and the first time I shaved my hair was very fine and thin on my armpits but after 2-3 I definitely see that it’s darker and thicker so I think what she means that after you shave for the first time then your hair will grow back thicker
@@annakk I agree that that is what she meant, I was just explaining why it seems that way and that it doesn't actually change how the hair grows, its just because the hair gets cut to a blunt tip which makes it look darker/thicker.

Actually it does growns thicker especially after shaving. Shave your armpits for a long time then use waxing, your armpits will bleed but use waxing for a long time it'll became softer and never bleeds again.
Yeşim Yücedağ www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-lifestyle/adult-health/expert-answers/hair-removal/faq-20058427 When you google it literally the first article explains this “phenomenon” and I thought it was common knowledge by now, that it can’t grow back thicker because your genetics don’t change
@@bored1840 the roots I'm talking about them they become stronger because you don't actually do too much when you shave it the roots becomes stronger to pull out and it causes bleeding my doctor warned me to not to shave
gewoon ilana I get that too! If I shave down there or in any part of my body honestly the next day hair starts to grow back, but it’s after like three days that down there starts to get really itchy because of the hair growth that’s like spiky, and there’s really not much to do about it. You just have to wait a couple of days and the itching will stop Also, if the itching is right after you’re freshly shaved, use a new razor that’s only for your bikini area and not one that you also use for the rest of your body, sometimes when I use a razor that’s a bit oil it really irritates the skin, I personally sometimes also apply maybe some baby oil or coconut oil to soothe the area after.
you guys should see a doctor, i had all of those things you mentioned and later learned that it was more than shaving, i have a hormonal disease that affects all of that. my life got so much better after i started treating that. so... yeah!
evcotter08 I personally will trim it if it gets annoying but I also go every 3 weeks religiously so it typically does not get super long. A lot of people don’t do this cause then hair will be missed cause some hasn’t grown in yet but it’s just what I do. In order to have the hair stop growing in you need to wax it when it is in the first stage of growth the anagen stage. If you wax and the hair is in this stage it will most likely never come back. But all hair grows in different stages, this is why going every 3-4 weeks makes it a bit of a quicker process because you have a better chance of catching it in that first stage. It does take time though

THANK YOU LUNA I’ve been requesting an updated video for this and I’m so happy it’s here! Your last video really helped me, especially because I’ve always felt alone with my body hair struggles. Love you and ty💘 ps: LOVEEEE your new intro
A good tip to avoid ingrown hair is to shave the same spot as few times as possible because what causes ingrown hair is your skin reacting to irritation and swelling up. So don't use a dull razor ever, use hot water on your skin (it makes for a closer shave) before you apply oil or shaving cream, don't go over the same area over and over, GENTLY exfoliate, dab alcohol-free tea tree or aloe on the area and either go without underwear/pants or use breathable fabric after you've just shaved. Do not use regular moisturizer on a newly shaved leg, vulva, armpits, butt, whatever. it will most likely clog the pores.
For me i get brazillian wax and there are specific creams for preventing ingrown hairs. It's less aggressive than exfoliating cause the skin can get very sensitive after waxing. And I never got ingrow hairs so I recommend that to people who's getting waxing.
Thank you so much I’ve needed videos like this for years bc I’m just so insecure about body hair and my appearance and I wish I watched your videos long before I started shaving bc maybe then I would have thought twice about it but thank you so much you really are so helpful and are like a big sister. ❤️🤗
I have had laser hair removal in my armpits for two years. It’s a lifechanger. I plan to get a brazilian wax next year! I’m lucky that I’m not a hairy person but I am insecure of those two areas.
Magic shave powder!! (gold can -it looks like a Comet cleanser cardboard can). It really works, just don’t let skin touch skin while it sits on the areas to “work.”
So I have a lot of Italian in me and so I have really thick hair everywhere including my arms. I was bullied for it all through out elementary and people would make random nasty comment in middle school. I have always been insecure about it until this past year I started high school and realized that the only opinion that matters it mine. ALSO shaving does not actually make hair grow back thicker, it just looks that way because it grows back at an angle.
Grace Noelle Same! I also started puberty early and had thick dark body hair which I got bullied for. I’m so happy that it’s over know and I’m less obsessed about it.
Thank you thank you Luna you have made me so much more confident about this topic from both of your videos. Please make more girl talk videos it makes a big difference xoxo
Love the new graphics in your opening. Very cute. I just want to add some information...while most women groom their pubic hair in some way, and many find having it a nuisance, please know that pubic hair is there for a purpose. It can prevent chaffing and bacteria from forming. It's a protective barrier to your labia and vagina. If you are considering removing your hair permanently, make sure you educate yourself about pubic hair and or speak to a doctor first (as Luna suggests). Also, hair does not grow back thicker once you shave. That is a myth that has been debunked by JAMA and other medical associations. Genetics play a role in how thick your hair is and sometimes, when stubble appears a few days after shaving, it gives the appearance of it being thicker, but once grown out, it will be the same as before. Let's use adult words when describing our body parts 😁"Down there" suggests there is shame in speaking out about our bodies. Vagina & Labia, or pubic area are nothing to be ashamed of girls! 🥰 Great video, Luna. Keep up the good work. Also, I loved your last video on day in the life of a teacher. It was nice to see content of substance. I find video where the vlogger talks about their thoughts and feelings about their day, what went right or wrong, and describing the ups and downs of one's job/day etc. is more interesting than watching someone put on make-up and brush their teeth..
So I am a teen and I recently started shaving and the first time I shaved my hair was very fine and thin on my armpits but after 2-3 I definitely see that it’s darker and thicker so I think what she means that after you shave for the first time then your hair will grow back thicker
Anna Kay Reminder that you are still a teenager, so your armpit hair is still thickening/growing in through puberty. In actuality, shaving blunts the hair, making it appear thicker because it no longer tapers off, and once you are through with puberty the hair will always come back in at the same thickness if you let it grow out.
I love this series. I'm not a ballet dancer but I also compete , we also have super short skirt and stuff like that and I always so unsure about laser but you really took me some of my last doubts I think I'm gonna start layering soon thank you so much ❤
Thank you for being the older sister figure! You are so wonderful and I'm glad i found you on YT! I only have a bunch of big brothers so advice from you really does make a difference in my life. I've also used your coconut oil as shaving cream and I feel so much more comfortable putting that on my skin instead of chemicals i don't know a lot about and might harm my skin. (Also I love your dog he's SO cute
RUclips's algorithm sent me to your first video and I loved it so of course I had to come see part 2. Gurl, you're awesome! Love that this is trans-inclusive!
Most laser hair removal lasts 7 years. Hormones cycles, age effects, growth patterns seem to "replenish" in 7 year cycles for hair growth. Not all of the hair will return, it could just be the growth pattern/ rotation for you, and pregnancy can also reignite hair growth.
I got laser when I just turned 14 but only once bc it wouldn't work 100% bc I'm so young so I would recommend getting it around the end of puberty just so you can be sure that your hair won't grow back. but I did see a difference mainly on my armpits just by getting it once. the hair got way thinner and is easier to shave now and I do plan on getting it again when I'm older
Taylor Nordquist most likely 18 depends on the state but some may do 16 with parent permission. But for woman we go through a lot of horomones so it’s best to wait until you’re in your 20s or so when things settle down. If you ever become pregnant the hair may still come back even if you’ve had laser because of horomones.
And with laser you will need touch up sessions after a few years. It’s not truly permanent the ONLY permanent hair removal is electrolysis which I do not recommend for bikini area it is painful but works very well and is the only true permanent hair removal
I don’t know if there is a age minimum, but i started getting laser ed when i was 12 (i live in mass) but i just had to have my mom sign consent forms because i’m a minor, under 18.
Luna can you talk about how to accept and love your body? I know you have talked about body dismorphia before, but I thought maybe you could make a video about how you overcame the struggle and give us some tips. Btw I love you and you’re channel❤️
Since my arm hair doesn't bother me that much I would never shave it. But I have some friends that di it and they have to do it very often and if you touch their arm you can feel all of the hair that's growing back thicker. So unless you are really insecure about it I would not recommend it as it is very high maintenance. Hope I could help😊
Kudos to you for being a Big Sis to all those little ones who don’t have an open relationship of any kind. You did a great job. But, let me add, be careful about when talking about services that cost money. I’m guessing many of your viewers may not have the means to afford “services.” Keep up the great work, Luna!!!
I use an epilator (it’s electric and plucks out multiple hairs out from the root at the same time) and I was wondering if you could do a part 3 and maybe even try epilators and give your opinion!

Thanks so much Luna for the great sisterly advice💖😊. Also I love the new intro.
i love ur room omg !!!! so pretty!
Thank you so much I’ve needed videos like this for years bc I’m just so insecure about body hair and my appearance and I wish I watched your videos long before I started shaving bc maybe then I would have thought twice about it but thank you so much you really are so helpful and are like a big sister. ❤️🤗
Honestly, what a babe. You have such a beautiful soul, and having you mention this wasn't just for girls made my non-binary heart melt
i got my under arms lasered and if you worried abt pain, just know that it’s more painful when you’re on your period so schedule around it!
I have had laser hair removal in my armpits for two years. It’s a lifechanger. I plan to get a brazilian wax next year!
I’m lucky that I’m not a hairy person but I am insecure of those two areas.
I love this intro it’s adorable
Magic shave powder!! (gold can -it looks like a Comet cleanser cardboard can). It really works, just don’t let skin touch skin while it sits on the areas to “work.”
You're awesome for making these videos Luna! Love you💗
👀👀 at that new intro it's so cute
So I have a lot of Italian in me and so I have really thick hair everywhere including my arms. I was bullied for it all through out elementary and people would make random nasty comment in middle school. I have always been insecure about it until this past year I started high school and realized that the only opinion that matters it mine. ALSO shaving does not actually make hair grow back thicker, it just looks that way because it grows back at an angle.
Grace Noelle Same! I also started puberty early and had thick dark body hair which I got bullied for. I’m so happy that it’s over know and I’m less obsessed about it.
Ahh Luna thank you for being our older sis
You got a new intro!! I love it 🥰🥰
Thank you thank you Luna you have made me so much more confident about this topic from both of your videos. Please make more girl talk videos it makes a big difference xoxo
luna i’ve been here since 17k and i love you so much
im just getting into ballet, am i not supposed to wear underwear with my leo and tights?
You're a breeze of fresh air❤
Luna you’re such a sweet and caring person :,,,)
THE NEW INTRO IS ❤️😍
Love the new graphics in your opening.
Great video, Luna.
❤❤❤❤❤. Correct anatomical language. Thank you. Pubic hair serves a purpose.
@@annakk it doesn't grow back thicker.... It just looks like it does because the ends of the hair is blunt.
hanzi31 after your first few times shaving it does after 2-3 months of shaving it’s the semester thickness
You are such a role model😍😍
I love this series. I'm not a ballet dancer but I also compete , we also have super short skirt and stuff like that and I always so unsure about laser but you really took me some of my last doubts I think I'm gonna start layering soon thank you so much ❤
Wow, loving the new intro! It's so cute and so you xx
i just started watching you today and i love ur channel ),:
Thank you for being the older sister figure! You are so wonderful and I'm glad i found you on YT! I only have a bunch of big brothers so advice from you really does make a difference in my life. I've also used your coconut oil as shaving cream and I feel so much more comfortable putting that on my skin instead of chemicals i don't know a lot about and might harm my skin.
(Also I love your dog he's SO cute
Love that you say that you shouldn’t be ashamed if you have body hair and also that not every guy has a penis and every girl has a vagina
LOVE THE INTRO 💖💖💖
Same!
as a brazilian I hate when ppl say brazilian wax lol, it's so funny! love your videos btw
You're so pretty!! Love the new intro
LITERALLY SUCH GOOD TIMING I'M SWIMMING TMRW
I got laser when I just turned 14 but only once bc it wouldn't work 100% bc I'm so young so I would recommend getting it around the end of puberty just so you can be sure that your hair won't grow back. but I did see a difference mainly on my armpits just by getting it once. the hair got way thinner and is easier to shave now and I do plan on getting it again when I'm older
I have been seriously considering laser however i am still quite young. Do you know if there is an age minimum for laser?
Taylor Nordquist most likely 18 depends on the state but some may do 16 with parent permission. But for woman we go through a lot of horomones so it’s best to wait until you’re in your 20s or so when things settle down. If you ever become pregnant the hair may still come back even if you’ve had laser because of horomones.
And with laser you will need touch up sessions after a few years. It’s not truly permanent the ONLY permanent hair removal is electrolysis which I do not recommend for bikini area it is painful but works very well and is the only true permanent hair removal
I don’t know if there is a age minimum, but i started getting laser ed when i was 12 (i live in mass) but i just had to have my mom
sign consent forms because i’m a minor, under 18.
Luna I love your style 🥰 I would absolutely watch style/ fashion videos
As a competitive swimmer these tips r rly helpful
PFB + Chromabright is incredible for ingrown hairs and for brightening any old scars!
Luna can you talk about how to accept and love your body? I know you have talked about body dismorphia before, but I thought maybe you could make a video about how you overcame the struggle and give us some tips. Btw I love you and you’re channel❤️
love the new intro 💜
ur honestly my favourite RUclipsr ever u are the damn cutest
i just found u and imma binge ur videos instead of doing homework bc i love ur give
I have a question
Should you shave your arm hair?
Since my arm hair doesn't bother me that much I would never shave it. But I have some friends that di it and they have to do it very often and if you touch their arm you can feel all of the hair that's growing back thicker.
So unless you are really insecure about it I would not recommend it as it is very high maintenance.
Hope I could help😊
@@user-fo6jj4tm9m it's because the hair is blunt it appears thicker and feels thicker :)
@@user-fo6jj4tm9m I'm very jealous of people who think it's a myth :(
I used to when I was younger and I stopped after a while cuz I realized it’s not really a big deal. It’s really a personal preference though
Luna is amazing!💕
you should do a video on tips for hair (hair in means of mane) for ballerinas/athletes!!!
Thank you SOO much . You don't know how much this helps ♡
