If you right click anywhere in the flow you can select "options -> Build Flow Vertically" which should help your node flow issues

Great tutorial! Really in-depth. I think another option to do this all in Fusion with far fewer nodes would be to do a clone paint over the sign using nearby areas for refrence, then selecting all the paint strokes you used, gathering them into a colleciton, and pinning that collection to the spot with a tracker. That way any light changes that affect the back of the bus will also affect the painted over part as it is cloned from the nearby areas. This would probably only require a single paint node really, as you can use modify position with tracker for the group's position. Or you can also just use a tracker node as well, so maybe 2 nodes tops, no color correction needed. You can also do the same with a planar tracker like in this video, while still using the Fusion paint+clone node to avoid going to Photoshop etc.
I've done this for a perfume commercial where there was a close up shot of the perfume cap and it was VERY scratched, and there was also a major light shift (a light moving over the bottle) making the image go from dark to bright to dark again (a stylistic choice). So I cloned the cleaner areas, tracked them to the spot, and the light change remained unified.

Had someone reach out to me and ask if I could remove some logos from their client's videos using AE. I decided to use Fusion and found this tutorial. Now I'm contracted to do several more projects with this client so thank you so much for sharing this information!

Love this one Chadwick! These little nuggets of information available in Davinci are awesome, and the fact you're sharing everyone's channels where you got the inspiration from is true community elevation! Well done sir! Would love to see more in-depth tutorials like this one that showcase a better way at approaching complex issues.

    Hey,
Not sure if you knew this but there is a node called Cineon (I think) that applies a reasonable Log correction. However, the greatest thing about it is that it also has an inverse option. So, I sandwich my node tree between those two so I do my coloring on the Color Page.

    Vito from Pirate of confusion?
If so, I knew his teaching would get to me some point, even if it comes from a third party lol.
I watch all his videos in the past, more like I would watch "BTS" of movies. Artists coming up with workflows to resolve problems is cool to watch.
I knew those "obscurs" modifiers had some kind of utility, but I never had a situation where I couldn't just "hack" it lol (and spend too much time on it too ahah). Like manually putting keyframes on a color corrector node, and then say : meh, good enough, I'll add some motion blur back 😅
Anyway, it's really cool that you're diving into these more obscure nodes and modifiers (there are many other that are hard to understand their purpose by themselves, without any context).
I was waiting for anyone to use them in a regular demo/tutorial because I'm always interested to see how things work.
Honestly, taking the compositing/vfx route for this channel is a really good idea, because there is not really one for "real situations" in-depth "intermediate/pro" channels like that out there. I follow many other Fusion "specialists" on RUclips, some really are into super technical stuff (which I like) but the concepts are so advanced and super niche in their application that I just watch it as "entertainment". See what's possible and how things work.
This method to keep the changing color/luminosity consistent + your other tutorial about the tracking method to track object going off-screen with the interpolation method makes things so much easier.
All to say : Good job and thank you.
    EDIT:
Man... if I new there was a "modify only" for the double polyline... lol I added so many points on mask by mistakes so many times in the past
You should definitively report the bug about the prob crashing too.

Great stuff, Chadwick. I’ve been wondering if you are aware of any audio-based “probes”. What I mean is a native tool that extracts values from timeline or other source audio and makes that database available for use in Fusion. I know there is a WAV tool from WeSuckLess, but the biggest drawback to that tool is that it requires an audio file input that is not necessarily synced to the region of the timeline where the fusion comp is located and therefore requires some tedious and very inflexible syncing of the WAV input file for that plugin. Is there a better way???

It seems this would be less complicated if the Probe would provide separate-channel values so that you wouldn’t have to do the separation manually in the node tree.
Is there any way to temporally modify the clean plate using the color page tools and have those changes to the clean plate be reflected in the fusion comp?

    My God!!!
Dozens of ways to do this without all the back and forth, without this complex workflow... I think he was so upset about being called an elite channel that he wanted to make one using only Davinci's free resources and complicated everything.
    Leave it there!

💥Good. I think it was easier to use with Paint. Although this option is also good. Thank you for taking the time to do this. I heard a new mocha 2024 with a camera tracker was recently released. If there is something to review? 👈I would like to see all the possibilities of Mocha. Tracking, stabilization, replacement, placement in space 🙏 If, of course, it is possible, we are waiting for the releases.
