I came across your channel recently. I find your videos very helpful and easy to understand. I appreciate how you keep things simple without a lot of hoopla.
I really like that technique of trimming off a kerf width. The eliminates the need for a extra piece to cut the handle. I noticed you cut your handle flush with the groove. Curious why you did not leave a little meat below to give the glue three surfaces instead of two. Keep 'em coming!
Great point, I could have left a little bit on the bottom. My thought at the time was that the siding lid would be a bit thicker than it turned out, and that the handle would fit more flush with the bottom of the lid. but in the process of sanding the lid, it got a bit thinner, and didn't fit as tight as I was originally expecting.
