Loot From Every Single Chest In Terraria! I originally intended to make this a 'Loot From 10 hours of opening chests' but then I thought why not just use a spreadsheet to calculate the loot from every single chest!? That would be so much more awesome!

I created a large world and analyzed the world in TEdit to collect the data for the number of chests and the contents of each chest. I then imported this data into a spreadsheet and organised the data until I had a list of every item from every chest with their quantities. Finally I used a mod to increase my stack sizes (which took ages by the way) and then I spawned the items into the game!
A nice fun little video, I hope you guys enjoyed, I love these data vids they're really interesting to make :)

Just... find out how many pots exist in a large world, then create a world with that exact amount of pots, and break them all on a big flat runway. Remember, pot loot is generated when you break them, not on world generation.

+Aretha Cairn I'm not sure about biome, except maybe ice torches. But depth and difficulty, yes. This was done on a large world, probably non expert. So here's a better solution. Take a weapon that sends projectiles through blocks without end and just slowly make your way from ocean to ocean swinging it
Biome, yes it does, though that would still do it, except there is no such weapon.

You usually get a lot of duplicates, with a minimum of having 1 of each in the world as far as i remember
multiple times I got more than one muramasa, I never got 1 so I don't know what you're talking about

Dungeon generation makes sure there's at least one of each item placed within the dungeon. So you will always be able to find Muramasa, Blue Moon, Magic Missile and such, Water Bolt is special as it can be placed as a book.

It was a corruption world, that's why he got the scourge of the corrupter instead of the vampire knives.
Some items e.g. Muramasa and Horseshoe are guaranteed to be in a world, but beyond the one that definitely exists the rarity might be low. I think the Starfury is another "There will be at least one of these" items.
I think the reason is because they are components for later items. Muramasa builds into the Nights Edge which now builds into more Swords, and some of the other items might not have as much impact in hard mode, but remember that those items existed before hard mode did, so their status of "at least one per world" might just be a carry over.

I was going to do loot from 100,000 pots but then I realised how ridiculously long it'd take so I might scale it down to loot from every pot in a large world (which will still takes agesss)
TerrariaHelp I understand and respect that it's a big project, and that your time is precious and should only be spent doing things that you feel are realistic and worth doing. You DID ask us to comment on the pots thing though, so that's what I did. I suppose you could "just" get the number of pots that spawn in a large world and then multiply by the spawn rates for given pot drops? Alternatively if you want to spend another half-day on it, you could do it as a "10 hours of breaking pots"?
Can't you just spawn 100,000 pots using TEdit (in huge columns) then put water above all of them and collect the loot? I might try that if you won't.
Sir , which mod did you use to increase your stack sizes? the only one i found was MaxStack+ but it only increases the stack size to 999.
3:46 Here you are wrong, the dungeon will always contain all of the items - Muramasa, Blue Moon, Cobalt Shield etc.
In any world, you can either get the scourge of the corrupter or the vampire knives and you can also get a cobalt shield from dungeon chests

What if you were to dig up every block on a terraria world and sell all of that? Your choice if you want to count in the contents of the chests or not, but it'd be an interesting idea for a video.
You should do the pot video in pre-hardmode and hardmode!

btw a minecraft world is finite, you can get to the edge by flying or using mods, also with tp commands.

What suprised me were 6 lava charms. this thing has like 2,5% spawn chance per every caverns chest, And he got so many
33 magic mirrors. But I don't find a single one until I've made a hellevator and explored all the caves exposed as well as the entire dungeon along with all across the surface and a bit of the underground jungle. lol
Here's an idea, mine out and ENTIRE world! Use whatever you want, mining pots, miner armor, dcu, all the good stuff.
