A TV commentator noted that Wemby doesn't limit himself to set moves but can free-style at any moment - and does it with ease and speed. Plus he HUSTLES!

I know Timothy Theodore Duncan wants nothing more than to see
Victor Wembanyama de Fautereau Vassel surpass him as the GOAT... The Big Fundamental passing the torch to The Eiffel Tower...

WEMBY is the only player since LBJ capable of contesting MJ in the goat argument. LBJ got close but no cigar.
Wemby can do it! God give him 15+ healthy seasons

Talk about flavor de jour. He's played 70 games and people already want to put him in HOF and goat debates.

True, but how many other overall #1s have lived up to the hype of being a "generational talent"? How times have they said "Victor just did something no one has ever done before" this year? He damn near had 5x5 games (1 assist away) on consecutive nights, which would have never been done before. He's had more 25pt/10r games this year than the rest of the rookie class COMBINED. And doing it on a minutes restriction for a lot of the year; he averages 6 min/g less (30 vs 36, a 16% reduction) than people with similar stats who ARE in the HOF. He's only improved as the season went on. He's routinely caused opponents to suddenly decide driving to the hoop was a bad idea (watch Draymond's podcast for his thoughts on what that means); he defended a 3v1 breakaway the other night and made the offense look silly trying to figure out who actually wanted to try to score. Let's not forget that Kobe and Lebron were also put into those debates as rookies as well, with the same caveat of "as long as he stays healthy and keeps up this level" for all of them.
