Wow, I used to live here as a kid in the early 90's on a sailboat with my parents! Doesn't look like it has changed much. There was a woman who lived on a houseboat there, who raised hundreds of baby ducklings every year to save them from being eaten by seagulls. I live in NZ now, so cool to see the same old streets again. Thanks for the video.
Need to thank you Ray. We’ve been traveling north from CA along the Coast. I was watching your videos when this one popped up. So we pulled in to this campground ( Winchester Bay) We were looking for a place to hunker down before the Labor Day Holiday campers left no where to be had. We got one of 4 left. On the Marina. Yep $17 night just as you said. We opted for the $102 for a week. Can’t beet that price!! We are really enjoying it here. Would not have known it was here if I hadn’t seen your video, so thanks so much Ray !!! We’ll head on up to Tillamook OR next. Thanks again ! Jeff,Sandy and Bandit
The Oregon Tourism Board should be paying you for the beautiful videos & commentary. If you haven't left the marina yet you still have time to swing by The Sugar Shack. Their coconut donut is incredible.
Years ago, we camped there or nearby in a tent on the lawn. We were ungraciously awakened in the middle of the night when the sprinkler system went off under our tent. Needless to say, we spent the rest of the night in the car. Great memories!! Thanks for video. We'll have to check it out.
We knew we were both in the area and as we were driving south of Yachats on 101 today, we passed you going the opposite direction. We’re staying tonight in Lincoln City before heading home to Spokane tomorrow. Sure wish we could have had the opportunity to say hello, but we did wave.😀 Safe travels! Dennis & Betsy
Well those" Canadian loons" you mentioned 🤣 chose a gem of a site to highlight! Thank you for showing us all the different areas. We enjoyed the video!
We love the RV resort on the water. We have never tried the dry areas. We would have family groups in the parks along the ridge. You walked by them across from the resort entrance. You can get a spot out of the wind.
Ok I love that you show the google map areas and then I watch you hit or click that map that zooms. Makes that blue dot while your doing it. I give up. I cant figure how that happens unless its just a mouse zoom setting. I use a MacBook and no mouse. Ok spill it... Ha... Definitely hitting up that spot. Nothing beats free but those were some nice water front spots. 👍👍
Love Your RV Ha...I kept looking for a google setting I guess because it just looked cool 😎. Then I figured it wasn’t that. LOL. Hope Anne is feeling better. She takes such great pictures. Thanks....
Like you we have driven right by that area and never saw the camping opportunities. Thanks for the insights. Can't wait to see your video about the dunes!
Been by there many times and didn’t realize there was camping other than the RV Resort. Thanks for the tip and the video , looks like an awesome place for off season camping . One of my favorites is Cape Blanco State Park . Hard to beat the Oregon coast . Stay safe and enjoy your travels !
Aww yea! Another Oregon video. Leme just hit the like button now and then watch. We are finally going to make it out there this summer to see it in person.
We stayed at “the fancy rv park” back in March. It was nice, but if I had known about the dry camping area I would’ve stayed there instead. Thanks for the video.
Outstanding job on this tour, Ray. Your videos are like comfort food and I am excited whenever I see one posted. I have yet to venture out to the Oregon Coast but hope to do so sometime this summer. What the marina and camping area smelly? Did it smell fishy? I'm not sure I could convince the wife to stay for a week if it was.
Camping prices here in the Northeast have gotten out of control. I can’t believe the cheap prices you have out there. Northeast NY the private parks are in the $70 range per night.
There are some so-called Super Sites, they are a little wider, offering more space than the rest. This time of year it's not busy at all so I asked and they let me setup sideways across a couple site lines for the lower rate.
I see. We are full-time RVers so not always "camping", most of the time we just want an inexpensive place to stay in the RV, our home on wheels so we can tour and explore an area. So I see the difference.
Hey Ray, how much did you have to pay to stay at the bay? Stay out of my way, or you'll pay. Listen to what I say. Why don't I just go eat some hay? I can make things out of clay, or lay by the bay, I just may! What do you say? -greatest movie ever
Hardly anyone around right now. Went for a hike into the dunes and saw two other people. Judging by the empty parking everywhere looks like it's a zoo in the summer, though.

Awesome. :)
I spent six weeks there 30 years ago. Loved it.
The Oregon Tourism Board should be paying you for the beautiful videos & commentary. If you haven't left the marina yet you still have time to swing by The Sugar Shack. Their coconut donut is incredible.
haha, I got to get out of here, going to make me fat with all this good food around. :)

There's a nice lighthouse to see. And another campground around the corner. Great salmon fishing in the fall

Beautiful! Miss Angie walking with you.
The most beautiful spot at Winchester Bay is facing the river overlooking the crabbing docks. Nice video of this beautiful area.
Oh my whatsoever! This is one of the most beautiful places I have seen in RUclips videos yet. Thanks for sharing!
Nice job previewing the Harbor very jealous stuck in the Phoenix heat working. 👊👍😎
Thanks, hope you get a cool down soon, Cheers, Ray
Well those" Canadian loons" you mentioned 🤣 chose a gem of a site to highlight! Thank you for showing us all the different areas. We enjoyed the video!
Love your videos! Nice touch with the jazz and the views at the end.
Thank you for great coverage! "Subscribed"
Never been . Going next September , thanks for all the great information!
Have fun!

I go every year to reedsport and Winchester bay it’s beautiful
Sure is, enjoyed the stay and will definitely return. :)
Haha! I like your humor - "I don't think that guy has a big enough vehicle . . . " 😆 Great video, many thanks!

It's probably the mouse click animation in my screen capture software. I use Corel VideoStudio

Can you tell me what you have for rear view camera on your trailer
@@jamesblanchard6033 Its from a company called Haloview. Here is my review - www.loveyourrv.com/haloview-wireless-rv-backup-camera-review/
Beautiful! Looks like a really neat place! Cool music too!
Travel safe . . . thanks Ray!
Like you we have driven right by that area and never saw the camping opportunities. Thanks for the insights. Can't wait to see your video about the dunes!

Cape Blanco, a great place to storm watch. :)
Aww yea! Another Oregon video. Leme just hit the like button now and then watch. We are finally going to make it out there this summer to see it in person.
Thanks Ray!
"Tightwads who spent all our money on solar'. Gotta love it, I'm with ya Ray.
That looks like a beautiful area.
Great place, thanks for sharing.
Great video and campground, My wife and I camped there in our truck camper last summer. We love the Oregon coast. Safe travels.
Also there's a free dump/fill in Reedsport at the USFS visitor center
Excellent, thanks for the tip!
Dropped by the USFS visitor center yesterday, the dump now has pay box, $5
You are right - rough ocean - One cape is actually named Cape Foulweather, OR!
On the mouth of the Columbia River on the WA side, there is one called Cape Disappointment. :)
What a pretty place! Thanks Ray.
Love these sites by the water.
Lou💚
Thank you. You guys are wonderful to share.
I'd be a tightwad too; very wise! Lovely location.
great vid, Ray. thanks, may head that way in a few years !
Lovely.
Thanks Ray!!! Looks like a new spot to add to the coast trip this year.
You bet!
We stayed at “the fancy rv park” back in March. It was nice, but if I had known about the dry camping area I would’ve stayed there instead. Thanks for the video.
It looks like a lovely spot!
Try Honeyman State Park up near Florence. Nice campground, power and showers for $35 a night
Very nice place. Thanks for sharing Ray.
You sure take care of your rig it looks nice
Thanks, hoping to make it last.
got a nice pic of my boat in your thumbnail...
Frugal; not tightwad! Nice spot.
Looks very nice!
What a difference from all those weeks in the desert.
Yep. :)
Ray, love the out-tro jazzy music. Who was that?
Was Round About Robin by Jerry McHoy - www.epidemicsound.com/search/?search_query=Round%20About%20Robin
Love my Oregon coast but there is now much of Oregon I don't like in the spring to early fall and then it's time to head south.
nice video👍

I have yet to venture out to the Oregon Coast but hope to do so sometime this summer. What the marina and camping area smelly? Did it smell fishy? I'm not sure I could convince the wife to stay for a week if it was.
Thanks, I didn't notice much smell at all lots of fresh air blows in off the ocean. :)
That looks like a great spot! At least in off season. Wonder how packed it is in fall.
I live in the area. It's packed in the fall; salmon fishing season.
@@ATravelingOrchid - thanks! That's what I figured.
Thanks added this spot to my Oregon folder:)
Looks like in warmer weather the sites are crowded. Being 5 feet away from another RV is not very appealing. Like row homes in a city.
Camping prices here in the Northeast have gotten out of control. I can’t believe the cheap prices you have out there. Northeast NY the private parks are in the $70 range per night.
Wow! I guess the people to land ratio is a lot more crowded back there. The west is a little more sparsely populated.
Thanks for the tour Ray. Looks like you found a beautiful spot there. I wonder what the extra $6 a night gets you?
There are some so-called Super Sites, they are a little wider, offering more space than the rest. This time of year it's not busy at all so I asked and they let me setup sideways across a couple site lines for the lower rate.
Camped in that same parking lot and it sucked ! But the other camp grounds are nice!
What sucked about it? Seemed fine to me, though there was barely anyone around the whole week we were there.
@@LoveYourRV to me camping in a parking lot is not camping !

lmao I know this area well. Too much civilization for me.
