  • Egg Salad (How to Peel Boiled Eggs)
10 eggs boiled, peeled, cut into medium cubes
    1/2 cup Miracle Whip
    2 teaspoons yellow mustard
1/4 cup sweet onion, chopped very fine
    1/2 teaspoon paprika
3 Tablespoons Sweet Pickle Relish, squeeze out juice
    1/4 cup celery, finely chopped
    salt and pepper to taste
Place cubed eggs in a large bowl. In another small bowl, stir together the next six ingredients. Gently fold into the eggs so you don’t mash them. You want to keep the egg cubes intact as much as possible. Salt and pepper to taste. Once folded together, sprinkle a little more paprika over the top, if desired.
Serve on toasted bread, croissants, or lettuce leaf.

Tom & Melissa - I totally have not made egg salad for a long time but we like it & I hope to make it once it warms up a bit. We are still in The Artic Freeze with below zero temperatures through at least Tuesday. The Souper Bowl #2 was great. I did not have any leftover Mac & cheese but I put in about 2/3 cup of pasta bow ties leftover in my pantry. I was out of broccoli so I added a stock of fine diced celery & frozen sliced zucchini & yellow squash with the other items & it was great. No chicken either but very tasty as well. Thanks again Have a great week. 👏👏👏💕🌻

So glad I found your channel here on RUclips. My wife Kathy and I enjoy the recipes. My father was born and raised in your area of Kentucky. He grew up in the Camargo - Mount Sterling area. My grannys farm was on Fogg Pike and her childhood home place was on Bedford road near Camargo. All my family are gone now, but I have some cousins still there. My granny’s maiden name was Hiler and my fathers side are Denniston’s.

The way I boil eggs is put them in the pan, cover with water, bring to a boil, cover turn off the heat and let sit for 15 minutes. Finish just like you did. I learned this after walking away, get to doing something else and having the pan boil dry. What a smell!

The other night, I followed the way you boil and peel eggs. I have to say for the very first time in my 62 years, they turned out beautifully along with the egg salad that I made. They were so easy to peel. I had all six eggs peeled in all of about 5 minutes. I used to take me at least 30 minutes before and I usually lost half of the whites. I made your egg salad recipe that you posted and it tasted the way my mom used to make it for me. I LOVE EGG SALAD sandwiches. THANK YOU SO MUCH! Now I can say I know how to boil eggs and they turn out correctly!

I love egg salad. However I cannot peel eggs that don't look like they rolled in the street with all the digits and cracks. So when I cook the eggs I do a dozen. I make 4 or 5 deviled eggs, a couple of days later I cut everything into small pieces for egg salad sandwiches and the next day I stir in chpd celery and tuna for tunafish. I enjoy Melissa and Tom and their recipes. Good people sharing something they enjoy.

Hello Tom, and Melissa: I love your recipes. I just watched your recipe on Egg Salad. I have notice that you add paprika, and salt. Lawrys comes out with Seasond Salt that is 25% less sodium. Tge season salt comes with the spices that need such as paprika, sea salt, and garlic. Also, Lawrys comes out with Seasoned Pepper that has all the ingredients that are delicious on everything. Including cooked cabbage. With added salt free butter, and the two seasonings Larry's seasoned pepper, and seasoned seasoned salt. Mmmm 😋 delicious try it.

I love egg salad, we use Miracle Whip too, I was raised using that and don't like it any other way. I've tried every way possible to peel eggs and the one way that always works for me is to start the water boiling first and then put the eggs into the boiling water and simmer for 15 minutes. I've been using that method for years and never fails but glad to know another method too!

Tom, I'm going to put in a request for you. My sweet aunt used to make the most delicious chicken and shrimp gumbo down in Port Arthur Texas. It was not too spicy and I don't like it spicy. She gave me her recipe and somehow years later it was lost in a move and I feel so guilty for having lost it. All I can remember is her making the roux and she used some of that Kitchen Bouquet added to it. I would give anything to be able to make it even close to what she used to do. Your cooking is so much like hers, my fingers are crossed...

We definitely enjoy your videos greatly! There are two statements you make, several times, on EVERY SINGLE VIDEO! They are: 1) “By all means”…. 2) “I get every little drop out” After a while the redundancy is difficult to hear.
Thank you for allowing me access to your ❤❤posts!

Oh my gracious, I love your method of boiling and peeling boiled eggs. I have noticed that eggs were easier to peel back in the day and very hard to peel nowadays. We don't know what has changed, but something has changed. I have used many methods, and I have different methods that sometimes work My new method does seem to work as good as yours. I'm going to have to try your method. I slice and chop my eggs the same way you do. I use the egg slicer and turn my eggs in different directions. I can't wait to try your egg salad recipe. I am a committed fan of your channel and watch almost all of your videos. I just love the way you teach during your videos and give instructions for your recipes. We're going to have to have egg salad and croissants for lunch or dinner pretty soon. I have made several of your recipes. I got to try this one for my family!

Egg peeling, head n foot first then roll. She'll usually comes off in large piece. I do mines under running water for ease of removing shell. Splash of vinegar in boiling water assists in shelling as it thins she'll. Paper towel dry.
