Check out their chicken and dumpling recipe. It was the first time I saw that way being done. I'm gonna binge cook everything I see on this channel one day. I got fed up with my own cooking a long time ago and just kinda lost my heart for it (there wasn't anything wrong with it, but 50 years of the same old rotations and ways ... Time to switch things up)

I don’t understand what the eggs do for the casserole. I love 99% of the recipes I see on this channel but I live in Kansas, family ties in Michigan so I’m also there a lot, I have never in my life heard of hard boiled eggs in chicken pot pie. I wonder what the consistency would be of the yolk, does it melt?

Hey guys, just found your channel and love it. I'm an 81-year-old guy in Mississippi who enjoys cooking on occasion and you have a lot of recipes that look great. There's only myself and my wife so I would like to see you mention if the recipe can be halved, If it freezes well, can it be cooked in a crock pot for caring to church suppers and maybe what size pot you are using on the stove (you're great about mentioning the dish sizes which really helps). Most people probably know these things, but it would help this ole country boy. I will definitely be making this recipe. it looks so good and I love any kind of pot pie casserole. As I said, great channel, good recipes and you guys are so enjoyable to watch.
Oh my goodness, I LOVE chicken pot pie and used to support the local Moravian Church's fund-raising efforts when they sold both the chicken pot pies and just plain chicken pies. I think this version looks just as delicious and its simple enough that I am going to try it. You guys are just a joy to watch and thank you for all you do to share these great video recipes.

One thing I have found very different in the south from the northeast, where I hail from, is putting hard boiled eggs in everything. I love them, as I love all cheeses, but I don't feel they go in everything. Not sure I would put them in. It must be a way to extend the meal. Someone made ne a warmed egg salad sandwich down here (in FL). I graciously ate half and brought the other half home. To me, hard boiled eggs should be enjoyed cold. Standing over the kitchen sink with a hard boiled egg in one hand and salt shaker in the other is almost as good as doing the same with a garden tomato. I thought about sauteeing oinion then adding the soup and broth but, I think there are a couple dishes that fare just as well without the onion. Chicken pot pie and chicken and dumplins'. They stand alone very well and non-onion lovers will appreciate it, too. I love your recipes and have a summer favorite I am going to send to you if I can figure out how to do that. ❤
Not all southerners add boiled eggs to chicken pot pie. Usually, they are added to a chicken pie (without the veggies) instead of pot pie. Of course, that's the beauty of cooking, you add what you like!

Chicken pot pie in oven as I type! Cannot wait! So easy to throw together, I had leftover chicken, veg-all from food bank! Put into larger pan added more canned sliced potatoes and carrots!

I made this tonight. I added a whole box (32 oz) of chicken broth to the soup instead of the 2 1/2 cups. It turned out really good anyway. Thank you Tom for sharing the recipe. We’ll definitely make this again. ❤️❤️
I love your channel. I can't eat much of what you cook, but it reminds me of what I used to eat. I have a recipe that is similar to your chicken pot pie, but it adds 1 cup of milk and 1 cup of sour cream instead of just chicken broth. The richness and tang is very tasty. I also like pie crust, instead of the biscuit dough. The recipe I use is from Taste of Home Quick Cooking Magazine from 2009, not sure which month. The richness of the sauce is the reason I love this recipe. Thanks so much for bringing back the recipes we loved when we were younger.

I have to try this! The seasoning in the batter is smart. Never really gravitated to pot pie..the balance/ratio/and rolled crust seemed off somehow. This creation makes sense! If it snagged hubby it must be good! His taster is top notch 😅. 🎉🎉🎉

Recently found you, love your channel. My new favorite. I use canned chicken when I don’t have time to cook chicken. I always have it on hand. I raised 5 kids and didn’t always have time to cook everything 😊. But I did a lot of casserole type dishes because it was easy on me and fast. So nice to find some new versions of them. So far I have loved everything we have made. My grandkids come for dinner a lot to help my daughter, she has 3 kids and newly divorced. So I help her with dinner a lot. They are loving your recipes and they are picky eaters. So far everything I have tried they love.

I've never seen the crust made like this but it looks so easy. It also solves the problem of the crust fitting the shape of the dish. Gotta try this!😊

Bisquick topping with buttermilk is a good topping. I top mine with crushed pepper. yummy!

I use canned chicken when I don’t have time to cook chicken. I always have it on hand. I raised 5 kids and didn’t always have time to cook everything 😊. But I did a lot of casserole type dishes because it was easy on me and fast. So nice to find some new versions of them. So far I have loved everything we have made. My grandkids come for dinner a lot to help my daughter, she has 3 kids and newly divorced. So I help her with dinner a lot. They are loving your recipes and they are picky eaters. So far everything I have tried they love.
